  1. Serious as a 4-alarm fire... Gipp makes it harder to defend the AV, not easier. Ruckman, as well, because of his poor testimony, casts a stumbling block. Anishinaabe
  2. Gipp needs to just preach the Word, and let actual scholars, with the gift of tongues debate the KJB issue. Anishinaabe
  3. What KJVO stance? The Reina Valera 1601 is the Word of God, even to 1909 update. I hold no position that English is a superior language to Spanish or any other tongue. Psa 12:6-7 6 The words of the LORD are pure words:as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (WCV) Psa 12:6-7 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (KJV) Psa 12:6-7 6 Las palabras de Jehová, palabras limpias; Plata refinada en horno de tierra, Purificada siete veces. 7 Tú, Jehová, los guardarás; Guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación. (RV09) Psa 11:7-8 7 The spechis of the Lord ben chast spechis; siluer examynyd bi fier, preued fro erthe, purgid seuen fold. 8 Thou, Lord, schalt kepe vs; and thou schalt kepe vs fro this generacioun with outen ende. (WYC) Anishinaabe
  4. In England, publishers were given the right to print by the Crown. So Oxford and Cambridge University presses, for instance, can both print the same book, they have legal authority. In the U.S., the copyright holder is officially logged in the Library of Congress with a #. This right, for legal purposes, means that the holder owns the words. These are 2 very different "copyrights" but, then, the legs of the lame are not equal, are they? Anishinaabe
  5. I use the medicines found in the Great Lakes region, because, as you know, and especially concerning honey,...local is best. The laying on of hands/ annointing with oil/ prayer for the sick is foremost, but after this, Creator made the medicines. And yes, The Word is full of instruction concerning the systems of the body. Envy causes cancer...look around. Feel free to share your ideas. In true Native fashion, I will offer one first: The White Pine tea. "Algonquin" means: "bark-eater". The Whitepine needles have a high concentration of vitamin C. There is a cambium layer of B vitamins under the bark. In the winter, we make tea from the needles and twigs, and peel the bigger branches, to be scraped and dried for vitamin bread. Anishinaabe
  6. Yes, Christ is, and has the cure for all diseases, physical, mental and spiritual. Anishinaabe
  7. We make corn soup, and call it "ashing" to make hominy. Anishinaabe
  8. Yes, we have many reservations here, and many of the same issues, due largely to the availability of unearned benefits and casinos. Ahehe for asking. Anishinaabe
  9. None of this answers the question of where the Biblical mandate is for you to speak in a language that the persons you are speaking with don't speak. I would also venture that it is not the language you were born in, either. Since you avoided the question, I assume that you have an ulterior motive, to move from the English, and that you are concealing it. You have sought to reject the simple request of keeping the discussion within the text of the English KJB. If your god can't use the English Scriptures to teach his word to English speaking peoples, then maybe you have a different god than mine. Anishinaabe
  10. The problem we believers have now, with our relationship to physical Israel, is wrapped up in error given to us by dispensational teaching. Physical Israel is a secular nation, with a secular gov. The practicers of non-Messianic Judaism are deniers that Christ is come in the flesh, and thus are Anti-Christ. When the Man of Sin comes, he will have them, "the synagogue of Satan", as his most rabid followers, and will set up his throne in Jerusalem. They will gladly carry out the "war against the saints", as they will finally feel vindicated, that their messiah is now here, and that Jesus was a fake. They will believe, as is popular now, that Christianity caused all the World's problems for the last 2000 years. Most of "Christianity" along with Rome, will take the mark, worship the false messiah, and remain blinded until their death. So getting behind Israel's right to be a free, self-governing nation(which the US has done, giving billions...a golden cup in the hand of the king), is not to be confused with cooperating with Jews (the religion) "which say they are Jews, and are not" in worship. They hate us, openly or in secret, and one day they will have their 15 minutes, but not their Son of David. Anishinaabe
  11. Show me where, in my English Text, that God requires me to "immediately ask" about a language that I don't speak, and frankly can hardly be understood by modern Greeks. When you have born the burden to prove this mandate, then we can proceed to the text. BTW generalities like "study to show thyself approved" do not mandate a superfluous divergence into strange toungues. Anishinaabe
  12. This is an English speaking forum. Speak the 5 words that are easy to he understood. We're you born in Greece? Can God not be understood in English. The Creator of languages isn't limited to Hebrew, Chaldean, Aramaic, or Greek. So, say on, but use the language of the forum only. Anishinaabe
  13. If you have something to say, say on. We will judge it, according to the Scriptures, as will you. So do your best to not lay a stumblingblock as you go. Anishinaabe
  14. I will never forget the "Palestinians'" reaction to 911. They partied like Seattle did 2 weeks ago. Anishinaabe
  15. The potential problem with books quoting the MVs, is that the author's understanding of the whole subject matter is clouded by the unnecessary gray areas that the MVs create. Some authors were raised on the Word, and have their understanding of passages shaped by it, so that the occaisonal insertion of an MV passage has little effect on the book. Some authors have only known MVs, and have an almost Eastern Mystical view of the Word, in which concision is rejected as "hate". Anishinaabe
  16. He has done his best to make sure that people reject the AV, solely on his attitude, actions, and made up "doctrines". Sad, because he did alot of homework that we've all been blessed by. Anishinaabe
  17. I have spent the last 20+ years trying to point out where the IFB left the Scriptures, but there has to be a consensus as to what "the Scripture" is, and where it is to be found. In English speaking nations, that last translation, that didn't include readings from documents that had provable errors, is the AV, or KJB. If you can stand on that foundation, than I welcome a brother in arms, because we def. need to get 'outside' of the Protestant "Fundamentalist Movement" Box, and back to being Baptists. Anishinaabe
  18. Mat 23:32-39 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes:and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Pretty clear, isn't it, uke? Anishinaabe
  19. Below zero, for the last 2 months, overnight. Anishinaabe
  20. Much like tbe OP, I logged the downhill slide of FBC Hammond's Music. Because of incrementality, no one was outraged when our 'Spring Program' was opened with a Charismatic Song-BTC's "I Believe". No one was asked to lead prayer in their prayer language (a practice of BT) just a reworked song was sung. But music doesn't change by itself, it is not a cause. It is an effect, a manifestation of the cause. And my church was no exception. Simultaneously, the Word of God was being attacked. "spirit led" was replacing sound doctrine. Man worship had been there, festering for years. And so it is at Temple. The "originals" are inspired hocus pocus...try to nail Dr.Sexton down on it, and you'll be better at wet fish juggling. The cult of "leadership" is well entrenched there, as well. I pray that no such sexual perversion, as Hyles' son, or Schaap practiced, is ever practiced there. But experience tells me that one day bad news may once again hit the IFB headlines. I am in no way insinuating that I have heard or know of such, only that i see a pattern, that is too familiar to ignore. Anishinaabe
