I didn't detail my salvation experience and the struggles it took and the miracles that had taken place.

I didn't share the details of devils and evil spirits that had been in and around our home in the mission field. I knew there were spiritual forces of darkness around us and in the heavenlies and that there be principalities and dominions that these evil creatures control, but I never believed for a moment I would see them as clear as I look at any living soul.

I never shared in detail the of Gods miraculous supply of food and funds from even unbelievers.

My daughter is urging me to write a book.  I have a title for it too, though the title may already be taken "So you want to be a missionary?"

I do not regret from one moment my going out into the mission field abroad without any deputation or major support network that many go out into.  I wanted God to prove my calling and he did over and over again.

Maybe there is one thing I would change in my opening thread, and that is my being presumptuous that he does not know what I have gone through in serving our Lord Jesus.  Maybe he is in the Lord service where he is at and that alone I know puts us in the sights of the enemy.

My focus now is my family, and being that this small slip of my vertebrae keeps me from working and supplying for our needs.  I am once again forced to my knees to cry out to Him who led Israel through the wilderness and provided all their needs, and seeking him to do so for me this day.

My wife said this morning, (as I had only $45 and I wanted to take her for her driving test tomorrow (Friday)), "don't cancel your doctors appointment use that money today for your need and we will trust God tomorrow for tomorrows need".  Sometimes I am totally humbled by her faith.

I posted my OP because I was wanting to vent a little of my anger over being labeled and questioned about the Lord I serve and preach, but in a way that was also encouraging.  I will remember it and put it in my journal as well.
  3. Thanks

AVBibleBeliever got a reaction from candlelight in Who Am I? A Lowly Sinner
Who am I? a lowly sinner that Jesus Saved and by a course of events in my life he led me to a NON DENOMINATIONAL but Biblically sound church.  Where I heard the Gospel of the Cross of Jesus Christ, of the saviour that died for my sins and bore it in his own self and on his cross that I could live unto righteousness.

He called me and sent me to a Well Known and very Large Baptist Bible College free of any cost to me.  He prepared me and sent me out.  And out I went on a $20 promise never knowing if that person who promised it ever even gave it.

I served him as a single in that field and he had chose out a bride for me I was married and still am 16 years later.  I have three wonderful children all of them born in the Mission field not knowing how I would care for them and without any stable support of any kind.  He never once let us go hungry and we always had our bills payed and clothes on our backs.

I followed him and planted a church and preached the gospel seeing over 1000 people get save and personally leading almost 800 to Him.  I sat in an isolation ward with TB patients on their dying bed, Telling them about Christ and then leading them in prayer of faith upon His cross, jealous that they would proceed me into heaven.  But it was better for me to stay.

I went into maximum detention of one of the largest prison farms in the land I was sent to serve.  With hardened murderers, drug addicts and child rapists, I preached and saw them fall and cry as they professed their faith on Christ alone and watched their dismal and darkened lives brighten with the glory of God almighty as they sought him by faith.

I have preached on crowded street corners only to be mocked and belittle, and to devil possessed, only to have them slap me across the face, only to feel it as if the Lord had caressed my cheek with his warm touch.

I have given over 3000 KJ Bibles away (and I could have given away 100,000 if I had them), over 50,000 tracks and thousands of Christian commentaries and books to pastors and lay people a like with no thought or expectation for myself.  Only to have Muslim Imams throw the things I freely gave out at my feet threatening my life if I every give them these things again.

I spent 17 years in that field all by faith.  watching and suffering from so called brethren who through jealousy or selfish desires spread lies and vicious rumors.  And going to them face to face to see why they did such a thing only to see a hardened soul who without repentance and without remorse shut their mouths as they were caught with their own words.

So the next time you want to label me, call me names, say I am serpent like or claim I am unsaved.  You just tell yourself this, you have not gone as I have, and sacrifice and jeopardized your very life to reach those who have no hope with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who am I?  I am a lowly sinner saved by grace, a servant of the Living Christ.

we should always pray for the lost to be saved.

Who is to say that praying for lady Gaga to get saved is wrong.

Be active in witnessing for Christ in your daily walk in this world, and be prepared to share the gospel in season and out, teach your children the ways of God.

I turned from the world and myself (repented) to God when I heard the gospel and by faith I believed on Christ finished work of the cross for my salvation.

I never repented of all my sins and I doubt anyone can.

Repentance can mean to turn from a life of full out sin to God.

But under the Kingdom Gospel to Israel they are commanded to believe, repent and to be baptized for the remission of sin.

You will notice that John and Jesus are not preaching a gospel of the the finished work of the cross nor are they pointing to it.  this is all part of the Kingdom Gospel to prepare Israel for the Kingdom had the whole nation accepted Christ as their Messiah.

Mt 3:1 ¶  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mr 1:14 ¶ Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mr 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
the gospel or good news here is that the kingdom is at hand  Belief and repentance (faith + works=salvation)

Below you see John is preaching the good news that the kingdom is at hand and he calls Israel to Repent and we see baptism as part of their repentance

Mt 3:1 ¶  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

Mr 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.  Notice here that they had to get baptized to have the remission of sins.  Today we have remission through faith alone on Christ finished work of the cross.

The Gospel here is the Kingdom is at hand and it was required that he who believes the gospel of the kingdom was to be baptized shall be saved.  Belief and baptism for salvation this is not the gospel of Faith alone in the finished work of Christ's cross for salvation.
Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So does a true Christian repent?  Yes they have turned form the world, its ways and their ways of sin and turn to God.  But this repentance happens the moment one believes and will continue to take place through the Christians growth as a Christian.

Repentance is not a requirement to get saved in this age but it will be a work in the believers life.

A true Christian is not identified by repentance, baptism or any other work (for only God knows for sure who the true Christians are.

If you want to know who they are look to their Changed lives and good works they will do because they are saved.

My wife is from south east Asia and compared to American women she handles the four monthly stages of hormonal change differently.

She is entering menopause now and is handling it quite well.  My wife is really a godly women and she handles a lot of thing differently than most American women do.

I would think that we in America have given our women here to much room to blame there sinfulness on their constant hormonal changes they go through every 30 days.  Instead of helping them to accept what goes on and not use it as an excuse to go off in tangents we should help them to pray over their feelings and we must be willing to make adjustments for them so we all can live normal lives.

PMS and all those activities are controllable through prayers, my wife and all her sisters and her mother are living proof that prayer and Godliness prevails over their flesh.

AVBibleBeliever got a reaction from prophet1 in Paul Chappell - 12 Myths Of Pastoral Leadership
Is Jesus Christ the Spiritual leader of the church, the Body of Christ?

Are men the head of organizations that call themselves "churches"?

Are there multiple spiritual bodies of Christ or just one spiritual body of Christ?

Once gathering places for the Body yoke together with government for the purpose of "Money and Property" i.e. tax deductible giving which is a covetous way to give, or for not paying building tax on the gathering place, then these organizations will have to conform to govt guideline and have board of directors and a board of trustees which is the unbilical leadership of the church, the body of Christ.

then these church organizations are actually Businesses, and as such have to maintain a constant inflow of Money to operate which in turn they have to change and conform to their audience via entertainment and experiences so that they can continue to have the inflow of money to their organization.

the real myth is "Pastorial Leadership" itself.  Not one place in the Writings to the church by Paul does he once command that anyone or even himself appoint pastors in every church.

If it comes across that way I apologize, but to some extent, and I say this lovingly, women have a way of reading far more into written text that is actually there especially emotions.

Remember we lose a lot in communicating via written text.  Like body language, intonation, eye to eye contact, and believe it or not, knowing or not knowing a gender does affect clear understandable communication.

These are necessary for every Christian not just leaders.

And one must remember that OT servant leader like Moses is different than the NT servant leader Paul.

OT the people are commanded to give a tithe, Nu 18:21,26; Heb 7:5

NT the people are commanded to set aside what they purpose in their hearts according to how God prospered them.
    2 Cor 9:7

OT the servant leaders lived off the things that Israel was commanded to give. Num 18:24

NT those being taught the word are to communicate with those that teach the word. Gal 6:6

Before I go I would like to ask for your prayers.

Some of you know I suffered a back injury two weeks ago and ever since I have been in severe pain.  Often I cry to the Lord just to give me strength to endure.

After getting the x-rays it was discovered I have practically no disc between my L5 and S1 in my lower back.  and on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being no disc I was rated at 4.5.

I have been to two chiropractors after three visit with one there was not improvement so I transfered to one closer to my home. He was able to help me the first visit and the second one improved a little more but I am still in a lot of pain.  the L5 vertebrae is pinching the nerve going down my right side into my leg.  No medication really works so you can imagine 24 hours a day it gets to be exhausting.

My sleep right now is only for 3 to 4 hours a night and that with the help of medications otherwise I would not be able to sleep at all.

The diagnostics is I have osteoarthritis of the lower back and well as degenerative disc syndrome/disease of L5/S1.  This is a serious condition as it is a painful one.

This is why I am not up to debating and responding to many of the post you have made in the threads.

Please pray for wisdom for the doctors, I am scheduled to visit a Orthopedic doctor on April 21 (thanks Obamacare) and I will need to have a neuro-specialist also look at me as well after the Orthopedic specialist.

    God bless you all

    Yours in Christ
