  1. hello all my dear friends

I haven't been here in quite some time due to my health ,but by Gods wonderful grace I know he's not finished using me for his glory yet giving me victory over my health problems.

I've missed the fellowship I've so much enjoyed here with my brothers and sisters in the Lord.

it is my desire in my heart that God will grant everyone the health to continue his good works until he calls us home.

loving you all with the love of Jesus from my heart.

    God bless

  2. Donald Trump, can't be trusted.

He identifies his policies more as a Democrat.

He has always been pro abortion, until recently.

He says don't defund planned parenthood.

    He's pro assault weapon ban.

He's for the US Army in Iraqi and for taking their oil.

He keeps all the bibles he's given in a special place outside the city ?

He only goes to church on Christmas and Easter.

    He's gone bankrupt four times

He has a incoherent set of polices, which on his website is only one. immigration reform.

He's self centered, and loves bulling people by his arrogance.

He says make America great again. How could this possibly happen with immigration reform.?

He's a businessman , mm bush was the first president to have a degree in business.that worked out well.

The polls have him leading with 25% yet 53% of registered Republican voters say they would not vote for him.?

    He's a progressive Republican.

Our just maybe he's wolf in sheepskin for the democratic party leading the way for Hillary.

    He's not got my vote.

Ted Cruz is the only candidate that has given his testimony that he is a born again Christian, testifying that Jesus is his Lord and Savior. He's the only candidate that has stood before the government testifying that this Nation needs to turn to Jesus and repent of its sins and stood strong when he was mocked. He's the only candidate that stands for the truth and has fought to reveal the lies of the politicians to the American people . he's the only candidate that has vowed on day one as our president to resend all that Obama and Washington has done to our Nation and bring charges against them, but with the Republican party not liking him it may seem impossible, but all things are possible with God.

In Prayer Gods will be done

    God bless

  3. very interesting about the evangelicals. I wonder if they are talking about Bobby Jindal he says his first religion was Hindu until he became a evangelical catholic ?Scott Walker on the other hand was a SB and the church turned to liberal and joined a nondenominational evangelical church for their daughters sake.? And Ben Carson says he was baptized twice into the seventh day Adventist church.while Jeb Bush ,Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, and Chris Christie are Catholics. Leaving Carly Florina as the only Episcopalian though she's not active in the church but once in a while.Jim Gilmore is a united Methodist, Rick Perry's independent Methodist. Donald Trump and Rand Paul Presbyterians, and Mike Huckabee , Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham are Southern Baptist, the other feller (I can't remember his name )he's Anglican.

Oh yeah Thomas Jefferson ,raised a Anglican but later had no affiliation with them and is listed only as a Christian.

    God bless brother

  4. To start with, regarding the debates, I didn't care for the "gotcha" questions the moderators asked which were clearly designed to place the candidates in a bad situation. I also didn't care for the attempts to get some of the candidates to go after one another. Questions such as that seem more like the moderators attempting make news rather than get at the issues.

That said, I think Carly Fiorina did well in the early 7 candidate debate. Rick Perry often seemed stuck on rehearsed lines and had a bit of a stumble in answering a question. A few of the others had either some decent answers or some decent personality that came forth, but not really both. Fiorina may have helped her candidacy but the others might not have helped themselves too much.

In the prime time debate it was obvious the moderators were out to get Trump, and to take some digs at a couple of the other candidates as well. Trump may have done well enough to please his core supporters but likely didn't win any new ones. Cruz and Huckabee sounded good, but at least in the case of Huckabee it seemed the people responded more to his personality than substance. This has been a big problem with voters for a long time now.

Some of the pundits say they think Rubio did well. Myself, I thought he did okay, but nothing outstanding. Rand Paul had a few good points but overall I don't think he came off well. Carson seemed a little sluggish until towards the end when he got some good ones in. Jeb Bush and Christ Christie were about like always, two liberal leaning Republicans trying to sound like conservatives.

We'll have to wait and see how things play out, some potential voters won't make up their mind until they listen to their favorite talking heads tell them what to think. Most of the candidates did okay, I didn't see any total fall downs or any "this is the one" moments. A few of the candidates did stand out to one extent or another. It's possible Fiorina, Cruz and Huckabee made some gains. Some of the other did well enough they may see a bit of gains too. It might be more interesting, and telling, to see who (if anyone) loses a lot of support.

Still a long ways to go in this election cycle so a lot can happen between now and the six months leading up to the caucus in Iowa in about six months.

Brother John have you ever though about being a reporter, this very well makes more sense then anything I've read in the news and well put together as well .thanks brother.

  5.

MS has for years had hidden folders that collect you data , you would need to be a engineer to configure them to uninstall them but I have found out they don't like you to change their fire wall , I purchased ZoneLabs Business Fire wall for my office computers and MS tried changing back to theirs a few times conflicting with Zone Labs by trying to run the MS fire wall, I use Zone Labs on my personal computers which is free for non business uses and MS tried the same thing a few times, it appears that MS wants you to use the MS fire wall for some reason ? Makes you wonder what their up to.

  6. Thanks for all that info folk.

I had an invite to register to upgrade, but MS said not all Win 7 or 8 machines will be able to upgrade. I haven't tried yet.

i don't how long its been since you got this info but I read in PC mag.a couple weeks ago that MS has decided to give win 10 to everyone free. But its only the upgrade not a OEM , if you got the invite you should be able to get thto upgrade MS is sending a tool through your updates it will put a icon on your screen ,when you open it you run it to see if your system can run 10. Once its run the check it will send the info to MS and MS will send you the upgrade via updates when they send it a icon for the download will appear on your screen or your task bar. Click it and you're on your way.the upgrade is nice but I believe the OEM installed in the new computers will be far better it'll have a lot more then the upgrade has. Brother I hope this helped.

    God Bless

  7.

Windows 8 caused so many problems on this computer I had to go back to 7. This computer is a few years old so I'm passed due on needing a new one.

These companies create continuous sales by making sure each new product, update and such requires more power, more space and specific specifications to run properly, or at all. I don't know how those into the high end gaming manage. I've read that each popular new game requires so much more from the computer than the previous version, serious gamers have to buy new computers often in order to meet the system demands of their favorite games.

Even since the fiasco of trying to run this on Windows 8, I've had problems with Internet Explorer, so I downloaded Firefox. Oddly enough, Firefox works better for most things except for watching videos (if someone posts a YouTube video I often have to switch to IE in order to watch it). Yet for some reason, on what should be more simple tasks, IE will drag. Strange.

Got that brother, my wife's laptop is less than two years old and the CPU is going bad HP chose to solder the CPU in and not a snap in, my son Justin is Tech and he says it will 300.00 fix.

if you're having trouble with your media player open control and at the top you'll see security there a link to open tools, click on it and when the windows opens on the left top corner click "All" this will open a list of tools close to the bottom you see media library click to open when it opens at the bottom left corner check Repair ,click run. It will scan for troubles and repair them. If it can't it tell you what the problem is. It sounds like you may have a corrupt library .if this the case you'll need to reinstalled media player.there's a lot of other tools on the list you should run one is IE, it scan for problems and repair them . Also brother when you did the reinstall of win 7 IE may not have configured right. Which could also be causing some problems.if you try this and it don't work ill try and help you to reset IE and change it to Firefox,. If its not been changed..firefox has some very good tools that will resolve some problems as well.i hope this will get you going good.

    God bless brother.

  8. After the problems I encountered trying to upgrade from 7 to 8 on this computer I'm hesitant to think of upgrading. However, I am considering purchasing a new computer which I would like to have Windows 10 if I do.

brother if you've got 8.1 you should get the download free, check your updates and you should find it there .when you install the update it will install a icon on your screen ,click on it and it will check your system to see if it is capable to run 10 If it is MS will send you the download. But if your computers older then two years you may won't to look into buying a new one, its sad the money we spend on these things they should be made to last longer then two years,

    God bless brother

  9. The real insidious part of this invasion of privacy thing is that most think: "But I'm not doing anything wrong, so what if the government knows?"  The insidious part is that what is ok today may very well be illegal, or get you thrown in prison in the future.

Laws change daily and new laws crop up depending on who is offended by what. Oh, and don't forget "executive orders" from a president what cares nothing about our constitution or freedoms.

    Amen

I have tried about 20 times to upgrade to Windows 10 without success.

I keep getting a error after it takes hours to download.  Error 0x80070003.  (sometimes 0x80070057)  I follow the steps to resolve the problem, restart the computer and the update, only to run into the same problem.

    Rinse, Lather, Repeat.  LoL

Linda was able to download and install it on her PC with no problems.

I've read that MS is suppose to have a hot fix for this problem, you may be able to check your updates and find and install it, if you go to MS techs you'll be wasting your time, try Tomshardware if I remember correct this is where I read about these error codes and the hot fix download, I hope this will help you out brother

    God Bless

  10. Go to start settings... Network and Internet... Scroll down to Wi-fi settings ...click manage Wi-Fi Settings .. Turn off connect to suggested open hotspots... Turn off connect to network shared by my contacts.

  11. I just got the new windows 10 installed on my wife's laptop ,its very fast and the start button is very nice to have back, it has some new Apps and if you have AMD there's a new upgrade that has very good graphics , I haven't had a lot of time to spend with it yet but like so far.

Anyone else got Win 10 and what do you think, any problems etc.

    God Bless

  12. Bro. Smith,

When you quote someone, in the lower left-hand corner of their post, are you using the + icon to quote with, or are you using the word Quote to quote with? The + icon is used to quote more than one person's post, and the word Quote is used just to quote one person's post.

So, let's say you were reading a thread, and you wanted to quote 3 different people in one single post from you. On each post that you wanted to quote, you would click on the + icon. After you have finished clicking the + icons that you wanted to respond to, you would then click on the box in the lower right hand corner of your screen that says Quote 3 posts. That will insert all 3 quotes into your reply, and you can respond to all 3 quotes in one single post.

If you just want to quote one person at a time, just click the word Quote.

If you already knew all of this, and that's what you've been doing already...I apologize.

Thank you brother I did not know this , and I think maybe that's what I've doing , this is a great help

    God bless and thank you

  13.  I have a Acer Chromebook (Google OS)that I've used to visit OLB for the past couple of years which has done fine until lately, but now I'm having a problem when I try to quote to a post.

I'll try to explain whats happening, in the Soul winning Form I started a Topic and when I have tried to Quote to Miss Rosie I'm seeing her post appear twice and brother Dan's(NN) post once(NN Said) alone with Her's, I've tried to quote to brother Dan's Post (Miss Rosie's appears with NN) and it does the same thing.when I try quote it appears that the one whom I"m trying quoting to is quoting to me (Miss Rosie : Said ) (NN Said) very confusing.

This happened in another topic in which this occurred and it appeared I was using ill intent toward another poster when I tried to quote. (which was very confusing trying to explain because I wasn't seeing the post repeated on my pc)

I would like to reply to my brothers and sisters in the Lord by using Quote, because it notifies them,   but I will not because I do not want  It to appear as I'm using a ill intent toward them.

    Praying this can be resolved

    God Bless

  14. We had previously discussed this issue, (starting on March 12th.) of the Coming of the Lord Jesus for the church as depicted in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and the Coming of the Lord Jesus, with the church as depicted as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, Revelation 1:7 and 19:11-21

For a more throurgh discussion of these two Comings the reader may go back and review the lesson on Revelation 19:11-16, including the lengthly discussion that Covemanter and I had for a more detailed answer. A link to our Revelation 19:11-16, and then the 19:17-24 lesson, and the ensuing discussion is supplied below:

Brother I'm following along with you in one accord with my bible open, being silent and allowing the word of God to speak to my heart.

    Continue on Brother,

loving you with love of Jesus from my heart

Invicta  I think because Freemasonry is secretive it can take a lot of research to find out details about their structures, I know Chris Pinto covered mostly Scottish rite Masonary (but also many other well know Societies) because it is the most numerous and widespread mostly in the USA, He thought they were all chartered from the Lodge in England, but then he found out that there are also Lodges which got their charters From Scotland, the two don't seem to get on all that well, but I think the P2 (I think P2 is a French based brand) was also  disassociated by the English Masons, I heard a Rumour that the Italian Lodges have sided with the Asian Secret Societies against the West. Masonary is not what you would call top of the tree structure wise, I think when Masonry united with the Illuminate that Freemasonry was the more innocent party, I think it was more like a takeover, agreed upon none the less by the Masonic leaders at the time (1778 or there about) Another dark base of occult knowledge and influence is the Lucias trust which is rooted in Helena Petrovna Blavatsky's theosophy Society, and has a central Library in the basement of the UN building. For a Good overview of the whole topic and how it all relates to the Bible I would recommend Chris Pinto. 'Megiddo March to Armageddon.' is a good Documentary, he has probably done about 12 hours of good quality Documentaries in total.

Thanks Brother, I was doing some study on the llluminate a while back and found your post to be correct  and very good history lesion to follow up on the links you provided.

  16. Oh, no, EK - I was referring to the law vs not the law conversation that was starting. While a good subject, it would simply muddy the waters here. Your post. was fine.

Thank you very much , I saw were my question was headed and with respect to rOBomac68 thread I removed it  trying to get it back on track again.

    thank you for your kindness

    God bless

  17. I'm sorry for the question I ask and have removed it, and as I said I wasn't trying to change the topic

I was just concern of what someone believes without providing the Word of God. ( both the old and the new testaments )

I believe Pastor Mike post it better than I did and thank him for doing so.

    God bless

  18. I'm not trying to change the thread but I've been reading a lot of the post here and have a question to ask ''

How many here do not believe that the Entire word of God the Holly Bible '' the old and new testaments are written for our us today ?

    .

Just a bit concerned of what I'm reading. I'm seeing a lot of what one believes and not what the word of Gods Says.

    God bless

  19. As it is evident by my profile picture, I have a mohawk. I can also assure you that I'm a Christian, living to the best of my knowledge in a life pleasing to God. That's not to say I didn't initially receive a lot of negative feedback, particularly from church folk. I don't tell many people this, but for the sake of conversations and reasoning, I'll let you in on a secret. I have a mohawk because to me, it's a symbol of warfare. My ancestors wore their hair in this manner to signify they were warrior. It signifies the very real spiritual warfare that I am caught up in, and am struggling in. Ephesians 6:12 depicts a spiritual battle, and my hair reflects that in an outward act of symbolism. I don't have one to "be cool" (I'm from a small town that can be very judgmental, so it kinda defeats the purpose) or to "show an act of rebellion". As far as appearance goes, it can be no more a sin to have a mohawk than to shave your face. Each is an altercation to the natural way your body makes hair, and there's actually a scripture that says not to cut the corners of your beard (Leviticus 19:27). Therefore, in a moral sense, it's no more a sin to have a mohawk than to shave. I understand that the Holy Spirit may convict other people differently, which is why it is always best to pray, seek godly advice from wise people, search the scripture, and think it over long and hard before coming to a  decision.

lets search the scriptures together my friend I think you will find a lot of what you say is wrong , what you have posted does not prove your point and you have misunderstood Gods word.

  20. To the OP:

Many things in life will not be chapter and verse, but you will have to use principles to determine how your family will operate.  For example, are electronic games sinful?  I know some families who will not let their children use electronics for games and others who will.  Each has a principle that they use for their family.

I think the bigger question is "Am I capitulating because I want to keep my kids happy since I always say no, or am I allowing this because I truly find it childish and harmless and it will be a fun time for my son and me.?"

You indicated both are true for you.  Then your parents call you out on it, seemingly ironically.

You need to decide what works for your family and go with that.  You do need to consider the testimony value, as well as the understanding your child has about your family rules and the faith from which they stem.  (At this age your child may not even be saved and should just OBey because it is your family's rules rather than in OBedience to the Bible principles about worldliness.

For our home, and our community, the mohawk style is definitely part of the "I need to stand out" "I'm different than you" "I don't conform" culture, so the Mohawk would not be a hairstyle we would be sporting or supporting.  You need to consider where you live and how things are perceived.

As to the brother with the mohawk, welcome.  I'm glad that you are doing what you feel is a Biblical reminder of your inner man.  We have young people in our community who tattoo themselves with Scripture references and phrases for the same purpose as your hair.  While I don't feel either is the best approach in my area of the country, I at least can say these people are trying to be spiritually alert day to day which is a great start.

would you give scripture from the word of God proving what you believe
