    @brandplucked - please edit your post to remove references to "Bible mocker."  MountainChristian was not mocking the KJB - he was asking a question.  Granted, mayhap the first part of his statement didn't need to be worded in that way, but an immediate assumption that he was mocking was wrong as well. Mountain is a member of this forum and has never given any indication that he does not accept the authority of the KJB. I would assume, since you wrote your answer in the format that you did, that you placed this on a separate site. Integrity would dictate that you change the accusation there. I thank you for your answer to the question, which was quite detailed. But, again, please edit the attack on his character out of your answer. Thank you.

    I do apologize for the wording of my question my intent was to seek more knowledge. Seek and ye shall find. We have a Jewish Center and I want the Jews to get saved and escape with us in the rapture, some of them have more knowledge and ask questions to stump a man witnessing. Jews for Judaism gives them the questions. The Holy Ghost still loves them and wants them to get saved. I do hope the lost ones can live through the tribulation and see Jesus return.

    I think NN is the closest to scripture, he adds nothing and takes nothing away from what Matthew said.

    However any saved person has to love the teaching on the Branch, and I plan to read more on that subject.

  2. I'm a KJV man. That is all I own. I have the 1611 and King James Authorized Version on my computer. I read the KJAV and the 1611, many times side by side. I carry KJAV to church and other places.

    I can not write about the modern English translations because I do not own any. I have not studied the modern English translations. How can I approve or condemn a translation not knowing what is in the translation.

    Mat 21:20 And when the Disciples saw it, they marueiled, saying, How soone is the figge tree withered away?

    Mat 21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

    Mat 5:47 And if yee salute your brethren only, what do you more then others? Doe not euen the Publicanes so?

    Mat 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

    Change would create an error in a perfect translation. you to ye was made at a latter printing in the 1600s. then to than was made in 1884. Doe to do, Publicanes to publicans was made in 1769. Which one of those is infallible? 1611? 1769? 1884? Each change proves an error was present.

    If you download e-Sword's, the KJV and the 1611 you can read them side by side and see all the changes for yourself.

    Has God ever changed? No. Has the KJV ever changed? Yes, many times. God never changes, God's word never changes, if God had translated the KJV it would have never changed. But men under the influence of the Holy Ghost translated the KJV, that's why there has been changes. The Holy Ghost makes no mistakes, so who does that leave? The men doing the translation.

    If you want to see what men can do to the Word, look at the cross. Mankind's sin caused God the Father to forsake (Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?) God the Son (Who is the Word). Think how evil sin is to do that to the Trinity. My sin done that to God the Father and God the Son.

    ~~~
    The Holy Ghost uses the KJVs and modern translations to save lost sinners. The Holy Ghost is part of the Trinity, He makes no mistakes, He never changes, He is infallible.
  3. With your infallible Bible could you please tell me who these prophets were and list chapters and verses so I can mark the references? Matthew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
  4. Genesis 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
    17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which
    is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
    18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
    Here we see the LORD add to HIS promise.
    The LORD sees Isaac as Abraham's only seed!!!
    Also we see the LORD alter the blessing from families to nations.
    How many nations disappeared from the earth before Jesus' gospel was spread around the world? So a descendant of Abraham had to travel to that nation and be a blessing to them before the nation disappeared.
  5. Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
    From the day God said this all families continued until a member was blessed by Isaac's descendants or Ishmael's descendants. Think about all the families wiped out when the Jews took their homeland the 1st time. Before that happened Abram or a descendant had been a blessing to them.
    Think of all the gentile peoples God kept a family member alive until a missionary told them the Good News of Jesus. Think of all the American Indians!!!
    God amazes me over and over.
    Genesis 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.
    After the flood is the ground softer?
    Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
    Genesis 3::18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
    All my life I have not seen ALSO! But I've been wrong.
    Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
    The curse on the ground is gone. But the ALSO remains, thorns and thistles.
    Am I off my rocker? Can anyone else see this? Am I reading too much into the verses?
  7. Brother Scott has your church asked you to preach longer messages? I can not find one Biblical place where a recommended time allowance is given. The longer ones stand out, so they must be special. Kind of like Sarepta.
    Luke 4:25-26 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
    I couldn't find one place where the Bible says Jesus taught longer while it was raining, no one could work. The same goes for snow. I thought about timing myself reading the sermon on the Mt but I have no idea how long Jesus paused between thoughts, or how fast a speaker He was.
  8. Mat_16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church (ekklēsian singular); and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
    Mat_18:17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church (ekklēsia singular): but if he neglect to hear the church (ekklēsias plural), let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
    Act_2:47  Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church (αυτό singular, means number) daily such as should be saved.
    Act_5:11  And great fear came upon all the church (ekklēsian singular), and upon as many as heard these things.
    Act_7:38  This is he, that was in the church (ekklēsia singular) in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
    Act_8:1  And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church (ekklēsian singular) which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
    Act_8:3  As for Saul, he made havock of the church (ekklēsian singular), entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
    Act_11:22  Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church (ekklēsias plural) which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
    Act_11:26  And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church (ekklēsia singular), and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
    Act_12:1  Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church (ekklēsias plural).
    Act_12:5  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church (ekklēsias plural) unto God for him.
    Act_13:1  Now there were in the church (ekklēsian singular) that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
    Act_14:23  And when they had ordained them elders in every church (ekklēsian singular), and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
    Act_14:27  And when they were come, and had gathered the church (ekklēsian singular) together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
    Act_15:3  And being brought on their way by the church (ekklēsias plural), they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
    Act_15:4  And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church (ekklēsias plural), and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
    Act_15:22  Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church (ekklēsia singular), to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
    Act_18:22  And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church (ekklēsian singular), he went down to Antioch.
    Act_19:32  Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly (ekklēsia singular) was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
    Act_19:39  But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly (ekklēsia singular).
    Act_19:41  And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly (ekklēsian singular).
    Act_20:17  And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church (ekklēsias plural).
    Act_20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church (ekklēsian singular) of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
    Rom_16:1  I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church (ekklēsias plural) which is at Cenchrea:
    Rom_16:5  Likewise greet the church (ekklēsian singular) that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
    Rom_16:23  Gaius mine host, and of the whole church (ekklēsias plural), saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.
    1Co_1:2  Unto the church (ekklēsia singular) of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
    1Co_4:17  For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church (ekklēsia singular).
    1Co_6:4  If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church (ekklēsia singular).
    1Co_10:32  Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church (ekklēsia singular) of God:
    1Co_11:18  For first of all, when ye come together in the church (ekklēsia singular), I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
    1Co_11:22  What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church (ekklēsias plural) of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
    1Co_12:28  And God hath set some in the church (ekklēsia singular), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
    1Co_14:4  He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church (ekklēsian singular).
    1Co_14:5  I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church (ekklēsia singular) may receive edifying.
    1Co_14:12  Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church (ekklēsias plural).
    1Co_14:19  Yet in the church (ekklēsia singular) I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
    1Co_14:23  If therefore the whole church (ekklēsia singular) be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
    1Co_14:28  But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church (ekklēsia singular); and let him speak to himself, and to God.
    Gal_1:13  For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church (ekklēsian singular) of God, and wasted it:
    Eph_1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church (ekklēsia singular),
    Eph_3:10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church (ekklēsias plural) the manifold wisdom of God,
    For the sake of accuracy, the Bible DOES indeed speak of all believers, but it NEVER clearly refers to all believers as "the church".
    Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
    Does that say churches or church?
    a. The word “church” is from the Greek word “ecclesia”, which means a called out assembly. The Greek free cities are a case in point. Citizens were called out to conduct city business
    Every born again human belongs to Jesus' assembly. We are all assembled in the body of Anointed. So to use King James language we are all churched into Christ. Those in Heaven are spiritually assembled with Jesus, and those of us on earth are spiritually assembled with Jesus. I am assembled with Jesus through I live here in NC and you are assembled with Jesus where you live.
    The word church is from the Latin/Roman word ecclesia. It comes from the Roman Empire when Constantine ordered all Christians to assemble during daylight in buildings the Emperor provided. This is when the Roman Catholics was formed by the work and orders of Constantine. Some assemblies agreed and joined with Constantine to become "the Church", but other assemblies refused to join and remained church of location/home.
    This system was still in use when King James ordered a translation. The KJV was not an independent translation but it was a product of the State. Independent being, local independent assemblies joining together to fund a translation. So the Greek word ekklēsia became the Latin/Roman word ecclesia and the Latin ecclesia became the English word Church, a state run assembly. Church being owned by an earthly living King. Hidden local assemblies of location/home loved being able to buy a part of the State owned KJV leased out to printing houses who provided the King with a kickback when the translation or parts of the translation was sold.
    This comes down to the play on words started by the Romans. The government stole Jesus' word assembly/church and changed it's meaning.
  11. And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel. And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month. And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
    ----
    And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers. And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
  12. From Suppertime? to Midnight = death
    And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
    How much was he hearing while asleep?
    Midnight snack till Daybreak
    And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
  13. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
    And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die. Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
  14. Acts 11:27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
    Acts 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
    Acts 11:29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
    Acts 11:30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
    The dearth was throughout all the world, how much time did they have to prepare? They had to prepare or they would have nothing to send to Judea. Also, why do we have no prophets today?
    The Islamic State is urging its followers to attack U.S. churches and has published names and addresses of thousands of prospective targets, according to a report in the news website Vocativ.
    Messages posted in Arabic to the group’s “Secrets of Jihadis” social media site called "for bloody celebrations in the Christian New Year." The post, under the name Abu Marya al-Iraqi, said the Islamic State, also known as ISIL, hopes to tap lone wolf attackers to “turn the Christian New Year into a bloody horror movie,” Vocativ reports.
    The series of messages appeared on Telegram, a messaging app that allows users to send encrypted messages to one another. The group also uses social media to provide instructions on constructing and igniting explosives.
    The information on U.S. churches was based on information already available online and includes a public directory of churches across all 50 states, Vocativ said.
    Another post urged followers to attack churches, hotels, crowded coffee shops, streets, markets and public places and provided some examples in the U.S. Canada, France and the Netherlands, Vocativ said.
    The SITE Intelligence Group has cited similar Islamic State postings in recent days. The Islamic State claims one of its "soldiers" carried out an attack Monday at a Christmas market in Berlin that killed 12 people. A global manhunt is underway for suspect Anis Amri, 24, a Tunisian national.
    Cities across the U.S. have bolstered security around holiday events following the Berlin attack.
    In New York and Chicago, law enforcement officials said police presence has been increased for holiday events despite no intelligence that indicates specific threats to their cities. In Boston, Mayor Martin Walsh said the city deployed police and put barriers in place around the Boston Holiday market.
