It's not unusual for a prophecy to have a "partial fulfillment" and then a yet future "fulfillment".  For example, in Acts 2 Peter says "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel".  Note that the Holy Spirit did not say that this is a fulfillment of Joel's prophecy, but that it was "spoken of" by the prophet.  Paying very close attention to "the details" often reveal things we otherwise might miss or "gloss over".  Of course, if you are a preterist, then it is necessary for you to somehow find that all prophecies have been fulfilled.

beameup got a reaction from NDfree in Early Church Fathers Were Premillennial, Pre-Tribulation Rapture
Contrary to the falsehood being spread, the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine was not "cooked-up" by Darby in 1830.
The early church fathers followed the Apostle Paul's teaching.  When Christianity was adopted as the State Religion,
such ideas were dismissed as they conflicted with the absolute authority of the Roman Emperor and were considered
to be the cause of "discord" among the citizens of the Roman Empire, so Amillennialsim and  "spiritualization" of Scripture
were "cooked-up" for the Catholic Church and then adopted by the Protestant "Reformers".

Some of the writings "church fathers" were scriptural and some were based on North African and Gnostic heresies. Origen (an Arian) wrote the Hexapla which in reality is the phony Septuagint (aka LXX). There was no Seputagint before or during Christ's days. Origen made it up based on what he thought it would read like. The only evidence of it prior to him was a fable written within the Letter of Aristeas who was an Alexandrian Jew. Of course, all the scholars were suckered into believing it to be true.

Sir, I've had a busy day, and had to wait until my home health aide left to be able to give this my undivided attention/thought.
After having prayerfully re-studied the topic this evening, I now have some questions pertaining to your answer I hope you can answer for me.
So... if I were to entertain your theory that the 2 witnesses were 2 churches... I would also have to entertain the thought that these 2 churches would lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 days, AND that the entire world would see these churches' dead bodies for 3 days (before God resurrects them).
That is an entertaining thought, but it doesn't fit the parameters given.
How could a dead church (or TWO churches) lie in the street for 3 days while the world beheld? People of kindreds, tongues, and NATIONS shall see their dead bodies for 3 days.
So my questions to you would be:
#1 How does one church (much less 2 churches) lie in a street?
#2 How can a church (much less 2 churches) be a (physically) dead body?
*I say physically dead because v.9 states that they "not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves". This clearly denotes physical dead bodies.
#2 How could people and kindreds and tongues and nations behold them?
A second part of that question would be (assuming you believe this event has already taken place) how could people/kindreds/tonuges/nations have beheld this in the past?
#3 How do you reconcile that there are only two witnesses/candlesticks noted in Rev. 11 yet SEVEN churches noted in Rev. 1?
These questions are not to ridicule you in any way... these are just questions which need to be addressed to support your theory. How would these things be possible?
    Thank you for your time.

May I respectfully ask a question here? Where in the old testament does it tell of the gospel of grace in faith/belief in Jesus Christ? Before anyone becomes hostile, I would like to add that I am not mocking, but merely asking a question. Thank you for your time.

Good point.  I believe that also.  Isn't it amazing that God could wait so many centuries to complete the Body of Christ?   Now we see Israel once again and the growth of Messianic congregations there in Israel.

There have actually been a few contributors to this forum in the past who were trained at Peter Ruckman's school. The majority of them were gracious and did no name calling. It's the baby bottler's that remain in this forum that do all the name calling. They are so spiritual.

Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:42 and 49-53 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ
I admit to being willing to be absent from the body and present with the Lord, ready and groaning within myself for the redemption/adoption of this corruptible body turned into an incorruptible one. I am ready for that moment in time which will happen so fast, the twinkling of an eye,  looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus! To be away from this evil world and to be present with Jesus... in the presence of the very One who gave such a wonderful gift of salvation for sinners. That is true love! Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Thankful beyond words that He willingly went to the cross, the one and only Way, Truth, and Life through belief and faith In Jesus. Very precious promises of eternal salvation and eternal life. And while I wait and look for Him, I have the assurance that Jesus delivered us from the wrath to come (1 Thes. 1:10)  Maranatha!

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Ezekiel 44:11  Yet they shall be ministers [Levitical priests] in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. Ezekiel 46:24  Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers [priests] of the house [temple] shall boil the sacrifice of the people. Ezekiel 42:13  Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. Ezekiel 43:24-27  And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD.  Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves. And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.

There are a lot of "sheep" that just follow whatever their pastor or "church leader" tells them.  When I stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ, I don't intend on having excuses like "so and so told me, and he is in a "leadership" position, so it must have been true".
These [Bereans] were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.  Acts 17:11
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  John 16:13

There appears to be at least one person on this forum that is an amillennialist/supersessionist, who does not believe that there will be a literal Kingdom, on the earth, in Israel, ruled by Jesus Messiah and his kinsmen the Jews.
There also may be some who cannot differentiate clearly between the "kingdom of heaven", the "kingdom of God", and the "kingdom" on the earth (ie: Millennial Kingdom), and who will "populate" (for lack of a better word) those "kingdoms".
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:32-33
