  1. I actually agree very much with this statement. But if we are going to "claim" we are giving the truth, the entire truth needs to be told. This should be a "locked" topic forever, it is up to each to study the Bible and do as you are led.
  2. You are only hearing the part of the story SFIC wants you to hear. He was teaching the people at the church that they did not need to give at all, that the Pastor was lying to them and caused a huge division in the church. The fact is on a previous discussion STIF admitted that he never gives as much as 10% because he does not think he needs to. The issue and his reason for lashing out at everyone is his love of money. They were asked to leave the church not because of his opinion of tithing but because they were causing strife and division. That is the truth and is a correct reason to ask them to leave. Do the research for yourself, I did. Then you understand why he is so passionate about proving this point.
  3. Yes I am well aware of your truth. 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
  4. Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
  5. I have not been on here but for a few minutes in the last several months and the discussion has not changed. Several people have made tremendous posts but I would like to congratulate Salyan for the honesty and clarify of your post. Pastor Scott Markle also had some insightful thoughts. When people who are normally clear thinking individuals becomes enraged and willing to openly castigate men of God, and fellow members on this board there is reason. I have to wonder how many people leave this website for discussions like this. Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
  6. You sir are no expert in exegesis. You are somebody with an agenda that you will have to answer for. People, don't let this man lead you astray. The KJV is the inerrant Word of God. If there is one Pure version the rest are corrupted. Think about it. Who decided this was pure? Some guy not a translation committee. People with an agenda. This is my last work on the topic, think about what this guy is saying. Perhaps you should spend more time in the Book, and less time on Facebook, just saying.
  7. We do have one Bible the KJV. You are the one who is making it many. People need to spend more time reading their Bible not seeing if it is "Pure" in some fringe groups explanation of pure.
  8. I know the truth but would ask all others who are in doubt to do your own work, don't take anybody's word for this. What is being done is only bring doubts and questions to the KJB Bible. The KJB us the infallible Word of God. Tearing it apart is not establishing anything but the devils work.
  9. Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Jesus holds the keys of hell and of death, he holds the power and no one can take it away. Christ when He died on the cross eliminated any claim that Satan had on death.
  10. Been a long time since I have been here and tried.
  11. No because if you agreed with the truth, you would have to re-think everything you have convinced yourself that you believe.
  12. The answer from LCBP is on there website anyone can check it out. Your original post shows that you are parroting what others say and that is it. Scripture is not of private interpretation. The final decision lies with God and nobody else.
  13. It is true because the person who made the decision to make it pure is a sinner. All you are doing is creating confusion. God makes a Bible not man.
  14. That person was directed by God and I don't think it was nonsense. When an uneducated person decides what is pure that is nonsense.
  15. Exactly. Which is why spending time on any website arguing with anyone should be avoided. Get out of your chair and out of the house and go spread the gospel. I think I will take my own advice.
  16. Dave and I already won the counting forum didn't we Salyan, so might as well do this one to.
  17. Again, this is possible but reading into scripture because it clearly does not say Paul was ever in the Sanhedrin. One could speculate and say that Paul was hired by the chief priest to persecute "the way" but that also clearly is not in God's Word.
  18. This conclusion is based on the fact that Paul voice his agreement for the stoning. I believe the argument could be made that was the logical conclusion of his studies, but Paul never makes the claim. You might be correct I think we will have to wait and ask Paul some day. More compelling for the argument of Paul being a widow is the requirements that Paul gave for an elder. I could not fault anyone for holding either position.
  19. Unmarried. There is no support that Paul was ever in the Sanhedrin. The word used in Corinthians means unmarried with only one Greek Lexicon mentioning this could have included widows, all others say unmarried. But I would agree the only source that can be trusted in inconclusive and it does not make any difference.
  20. You overlooked the apostles in the Bible, the first century fathers etc. It was the calvinist who attempted to change this because in the view of biblical interpretation the calvinst's interpretation falls apart. This was discovered during the reformation and a Biblical view came back into the main stream. Now the accepted teaching dispensationalism is being attacked by those who belief system crumbles in the face of God's Word.
  21. To imply what one person has decided is pure, the "PCE" is to infer that all other KJV Bibles are not. Nonsense.
