  1. We know the end is near because Israel has gathered!

    Zephaniah 1:14-18, 2:1-3

14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

    1Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.

3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

The end of the original discussion, the destruction of the temple.  The sorrows were those that occurred before the temple was destroyed which was what the discussion was about.  And yes there were wars and rumours  of was before that time, many areas of the Empire were revolting including the Germans, so much so that Nero was considering suicide.  And yes there were earthquakes, and yes there were false Christs, Paul himself was suspected of being  one, The Egyptian who led many into the wilderness, and yes there were false prophets that continually prophesied that the Jews would defeat the Romans.   And yes it did come upon that generation, all of it.

Luke 21:20 ¶  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

When the Christians saw the Roman armies surrounding Jerusalem, they knew that that was the abomination of desolation and the the desolation was nigh.

I agree that there was a short break after Matt 23 until they arrived at the mount of olives, but the conversation was a continuation and the subject was the same.

Invicta, don't you understand that the destruction of Jerusalem was the war but the end was not yet spoken of in Matthew 24:6.

And it may not be.  There was a terrible famine in Africa a few decades ago.  Matthew 24:7-8   refers to the famines that appeared a few years after it was written.  There was a severe famine in Jerusalem which was mentioned by Josephus and Paul collected money from the churches to send to Jerusalem

Since the famines are signs to the church that the day of the Lord is near I think they will be world wide.

    I shall.

I disagree with your post here.

Eric has set up a timeline, and accountability is necessary to show him this timing stuff is nonsense.

Plenty of others have shown Eric his error.

    But I shall stop.

I am glad that the financial world is still holding together. The jubilee is for the wiping away of debts for the righteous. My family business became debt free for the first time in over 50 years. So yes something did happen.

The two largest German banks are in big trouble.

Read this one again Eric -

14  Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

They all agreed to work for the same Lord for the same pay.

    He equally rewarded all.

Yes a person who is saved at 55 years of age and works for Jesus with all his heart can be rewarded the same as someone that is saved at 6 years of age and works for Jesus with all his heart too.

    You need also verse -

11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

This whole quote you chose was because they thought their view of what God's kingdom was going to be, was gonna suddenly start.

Has nothing to do with 'heavenly rewards' nor eternity. But a showing that there will be 'history' to live through til his kingdom would start. And how they and us will be blessed or not til then in our service to him.

Hence - you also should've finished with -

27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

When he reigns while we live out our lives here on earth.

    Not in eternity.

The point of this parable is that the workers were rewarded according to their faithfulness.

No. Because a real believer will not do that.

The first shall be last and the last shall be first.

Why would you expect more? The Lord gave us eternal life - why would you add more than that?

Because you and others are looking for a way to make you look more valuable than a 'weak brother'.

"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations."

Just because someone is not as dedicated as some just equals - (the way the Lord told us) - some 30, some 60, some 100...

Eric there is also the 'reasoning' about people 'calling upon the name of the Lord' to BE saved.

When the word of God says clearly contrary to that thoughtline with these verses from Matthew 7 -

20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Do you believe that a true Christian can't backslide or fall into carnality? I know some people that have fallen away and come back.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15 teaches that a Christian can lose their rewards but not their salvation!

    10 hours ago, Invicta said:

Possibly such a person is not a christian.

We don't know the heart of a person but some true Christians have fallen into sin. Do you believe they will receive the same rewards as Peter , James, And John?

  7. 2 hours ago, Genevanpreacher said:

Bad example bro. That is not eternity time nor reward time.

Do you believe that the Christian that skips church 50 weeks of the year and never witnesses to anyone in his lifetime will be rewarded the same as Peter James and John?

I once read this - 'America is always mentioned to exist in the scriptures, and most of Israel lives in it's land - JerUSAlem.'

    I thought it clever.

    Zechariah 2:6-7

6Ho, ho, [come forth], and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

7Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest [with] the daughter of Babylon.

The Russian Jews have gone back to Israel from the north. About 23% of Israel's population came from Russia. So where is the daughter of Babylon from verse 7 that has the Jews that need to go home?

I am glad for you Eric. Getting a business out of debt is no easy chore.

But I have to ask how this pertains to the Jubilee Year? You said you paid off your debt. The Jubilee was about forgiven debt, not paying it down.

We have seen the pattern of blessing with unusually good jobs for us in the Shemita years when others have reduced sales. This Jubilee year the blessing was and is very, very great. This is why I am very concerned for the country. America has turned away from God, our sin is great and will earn great judgment.

  10. I have worked for a family business for over 50 years. We have had bank loans my whole lifetime. During the 7th Shemita and the following year of jubilee God blessed our business so much that our debts have been payed off. Thank you God. During jubilee the righteous are blessed and the unrighteous are judged.

    You are tough to understand.

Read the bible passages. They all have the darkness in them.

Eric has been prooved wrong on his prophecy on the blood moons and one false prophecy make a false prophet.

Smile. I never claimed to be a prophet. You must think everything is ok in the world, it is not. The banking system is on the verge of collapse.

  12. 1 hour ago, Genevanpreacher said:

Ok. First - will the kingdom of antichrist be after the tribulation? Cause it says Jesus Christ comes  after the tribulation. When will the darkness be over the kingdom of antichrist then? And why will it matter to us?

Second - why does the kingdom of antichrist have to be in America? I thought he was on the throne in Jeusalem acting like he is God. You know in Jerusalem where its lit up by Christ??

Your timing is quite messy here bro.

The darkness starts before Armageddon when  the sun and moon stands still over Israel. Habakkuk 3:11-13

And Revelation 16:10 and Isaiah 24:23 and Isaiah 16:3 and Isaiah 13:10 and Amos 8:9 Isaiah 60:1-2. And it stays that way in the kingdom age Isaiah 60:18-20. It matters to me that my mission field is probable the future home of the antichrist.

  13. My post which seem like string verses to some and hard to follow to others are often different prophets view of the same event. Many witnesses make better understanding.

    Daniel 12:10

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”

  14. 22 hours ago, Invicta said:

You seem to be good at stringing unrelated verses together and creating a doctrine out of it.   The sun would not go down because the Lord will be the light.  Remember in Genesis God said "Let there be light" 'and there was light'. This was before sun and moon were created.  Could be that Isaiah 60 refers to after the sun and moon will be no more.

nether shall the moon withdraw means the moon is still there over Israel.
