The Book of Isaiah has many prophecies concerning the restoration of the nation of Israel during the 1000 Reign of Christ on the earth and the changes of the earth.
The Book of Isaiah also has prophecies concerning the extension of the Reign of Christ, and the Dwelling of God on the New Earth and the New Heaven (notice the singular Heaven not plural), after the Great White Throne of Judgment. Isaiah 60:18-20 is of one of those prophecies that clearly indicate there will be no sun in the New Heaven and the New Earth. And, God will dwell on the earth. The dwelling of God on the earth does not occur during the millennium.
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." Revelation 22:1-3
Revelation 22:1-3 is the fulfillment of Isaiah 60:18-20 and 65:17
May we remember that in the New Heaven and the New Earth there is no sun. Revelation 22:23, And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."
Alan you mean Revelation 21:23. Yes Jesus as the light will continue in eternity when God comes down to earth. The sun and moon are not mentioned in eternity. We are not told much about eternity. But we will be there and I can't wait!

Isaiah 60:3-22 is about the rebuilding of Israel and repopulating the earth. the sun and moon are still over Israel but not giving light to Israel which is still in the shadow. notice verse 20 , the sun and moon do not withdraw so they are still there over Israel. verse 22 tells us that one person will have so many children they become a nation.

OK, so first of all you didn’t actually answer my question. Secondly, You’re adding an interpretation of those verses that is simply not in the clear reading of the text. They could mean the sun’s light is removed (doesn’t specify how, so you shouldn’t), or they could just mean that the light of the Son is so great we don’t even notice the natural lights of heaven anymore.
This is called “private interpretation”, Eric. It’s fiction, not Bible study, and it’s wrong. May I respectfully suggest that you refrain from making up your own explanations for things that God has chosen not to explain??
Isaiah 16:1-5
Isaiah says that the Lamb will make a shadow at noon day when Israel has to flee. If you look at many of the prophecy's about the day of Lord there is a darkness or shadow.
Isaiah
Chapter 16Habakkuk saw a vision of the sun and moon standing still before Armageddon.
Habakkuk 3:11-13
12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

The "seat of the beast" will be in Jerusalem or thereabouts, or maybe Rome.
I believe that, as the great trib progresses, smoke & dust from the other catastrophes will block out most natural light from the sun & moon, fulfilling Joel's prophecy of the "blood moon". (It won't be a lunar eclipse, all of which are predicted far in advance.)
( I have theorized about the cause of the natural disasters of the trib, which, of course, will be under God's control, but that's for other discussions.)
I believe this darkness will be worldwide, and will cause worldwide crop failures, as well as likely killing everyone with COPD or other respiratory probs, but will only be part of the series of disasters which will come in rapid order, as outlined in the Revelation. And Jesus will cut them short just before His return before all flesh can perish.
During the last half of the tribulation the antichrist will set up his palace in Israel.
Daniel 11:45
Under the shadow of the moon in the last half of the tribulation.

I’m sorry... which of the plagues were supposedly worldwide? And what evidence have you for this?
During the 1000 year kingdom the moon will stay over Israel in line with the sun forming a permanent solar eclipse. The new Jerusalem will come into the shadow of the moon so Jesus light will shine down on Israel as it's light.
Isaiah 60:18-20
Do you all still say the earth can't turn upside down?

So? It is describing the cherubim and how they move about. It doesn’t need to be anything weird, wacky, or go beyond the Bible. It is referring to spiritual beings. I doubt they are using some physical ship to travel about, even if it is hard to fully understand what they are portraying.
God has 20000 thousand vessels for his angels.

What prophet? One in the Bible? If so, you are referring to Elijah in 2 Kings 2:11. It was no ship of any kind - it was a chariot of fire pulled by horses of fire.
This is another passage.

17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

Y'all may be right about an "aliens" explanation. We can't rule anything out at this point.
I believe the beast will be a super-charismatic character who will become almost-universally admired, and when he brokers a deal between Jew & Arab that seemingly ends millenia of hatred & causes both sides to disarm, the beast will be hailed as the greatest statesman ever & his fame will rise to new heights. And all this time, he will be indwelt by Satan. So, whatever his explanation may be for millions of people vanishing, I'm sure almost all the world will swallow it without question. (This, of course, will remove almost all opposition to the "mark of the beast".)
I believe that many UFO s are angelic ships like the one that picked up the prophet.

666 will come from a kingdom that will become dark before Armageddon.
In the Kingdom age the sun and moon will not set over Israel and they won't give light. When the sun stays over Israel the other side of the earth will stay dark.
Isaiah 60:18-20
18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
When the sun and moon stay over Israel America will be dark. Europe Africa the middle east and Asia will be in the light. The saeat of power for the beast starts on america's side of the earth. And America is the most strongholds.

Matthew 19:21
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

The day of the Lord is very very very near because Israel the nation not desired is gathered.
Zephaniah 1:14-15,2:1-3
14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
2:1-3
1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

Ownership of earth will be taken by God through war in heaven spoken of in Revelation 12. this happens at the middle of the tribulation.
Revelation 11:3-7,15
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Israel will have Jerusalem till the middle of the tribulation. See Revelation 11:1-2
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Zechariah 14:1-5 (Mid Tribulation)
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

When Jesus comes, we will come with him to kill the heathen at Armageddon.
Psalm 149:4-9
4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Revelation 12:6
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Israel will flee at the middle of the tribulation.

The Idumeans in the first century were the Edomites. They were incorporated in the Jewish religion. Herod was an Idumean, possibly part Jewiah, I don't know. The Idumeans took part in the Jewish revolt against the Romans in AD 66-70.
Esau or the Palistians helped the Babylonians and will all die for it.
Obadiah 1:9-11

10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

The House of Esau was the nation of Edom, which was in what's now the nation of Jordan. But I don't believe the antichrist will be involved in the Gog-Magog war; it'll catch him by surprise & will be over before he can act.
Antichrist will come to help Israel after the Psalm 83 war, and will move from Egypt to Israel to set up his camp when he hears the Russians and Persians are coming.
Daniel 11:42-45
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Obadiah :18

I believe it will be the ecumenical apostate christian church in Rome.

Each of these empires had one ruler at a time. The 8th empire will be the final world ruler - one man, yes. Each of the other empires went on for a period of time - so more than one ruler for all of them - but one at a time. The final ruler will use the religion to get the people to follow him, and then at the midpoint of the seven year tribulation, will cast off the religion and declare himself God, set up his statue in the rebuilt temple, and get possessed by Satan himself.
Revelation 17:16-18
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

? What does that even mean, and how does it relate to this topic?
God has already told us some specifics in His Word about the antichrist. The man that He will allow to become the antichrist has already been chosen, and we are just awaiting those details to be fulfilled. He will not “choose” someone contrary to what He has already revealed.
Yes God will choose the man he wants the people to follow. And he will cause them to believe the lie of the antichrist. the home base of the antichrist is Babylon. Mystery Babylon is a whore that replaces the bride. All of the "christian denominations and Catholics will merge to form the false church" after the rapture. Mystery Babylon will rule the Christian nations for the first half of the tribulation because of the fear of the people.

That's what I've said for years. Russia is cash-strapped now, & will continue to be. Once the AC brokers a deal which'll cause the Muslims & Jews to disarm, the Muslims, still bearing their hatred of Israel, will make a deal for Russia to arm & lead them in an attack upon Israel, which'll then be "a land of unwalled villages".
Notice that all the nations that existed then, as well as those that were formed from those that no longer exist are all Muslim, except those that are now part ofd Russia. And also notice that Arabia, the seat of Islam, is not among them.
The Muslims have never been very good fighters , except for the Turks, & WW1 showed they were pretty inept at MODERN warfare. Thus, they'll want Russia to lead them, both for their battle expertise, & their arms.
I believe it will be the Shiite Muslims with Russia and the antichrist with the Sunni Muslims from the tribes of Sheba and Dedan in Arabia.God will turn back the Russians till Israel destroys her neighbors. Psalm 83 and Obadiah. Then God will pull Russia against Israel and the antichrists army. Ezekiel 38 & 39

Brother Alan , We will have to disagree on verse 19-20. I believe it starts in the tribulation at Habakkuk 3:11-13 and continues through the 1000 year kingdom.
