Hey bro, I was trying to find that David Jeremiah book that you talked about as being a great explanation of the pre-trib/pre-mill position. I found the Escape the Night book, but it doesn't look like a Bible study book as much as a novel, like Tim LaHaye's Left Behind.

Can you give me a link? I'm really interested in this book that you spoke of.

I met my wife on a Christian dating site, and we've been married nine years and have four children. We have a wonderful marriage.

That being said, I was young, stupid, and obviously very lucky and wouldn't recommend them across the board.

I don't care who it's for, I'm just hoping for an explanation. Proverbs tells us to not even look at it, but here God tells them spend their tithe on it.

Let's not get hung up again on the battle about dispensations again, but to explain my position I'll reiterate something. A hyper-dispensationalist will completely cut out everything but Paul's epistles. Anyone with any common sense can tell that is wrong. The church gets in on the spiritual aspects of the New Covenant, and therefore there is much spiritual application to be found in the Old Testament when God is speaking to the Jews on a moral and spiritual level.

I'm warming up to Paul a bit but I do get worried about those that have this feeling he will be the perfect candidate. Ron Paul fans seem to be like a cult...sorry John, you come off as a cultists in these threads.

For me, it's more about the message than Ron Paul. Sure, there are nice things about him as a person (a doctor who's delivered 4,000 babies, Christian, married to the same woman for like 50 years) but I mostly appreciate that he believes the Constitution like a Christian believes the Bible. The average Christian today just operates by worldly philosophy which changes with the wind, and politicians are the same way.

I really wish there were more politicians that treated the Constitution the way they swear to when they took their oath. Ron Paul supporters like me may seem very zealous because we're fed up with the imaginary battles between left and right, Republicans and Democrats - we care about the Constitution. The Democrats boast about defending the First Amendment, and the Republicans are proud of their stance on the Second Amendment - but they both work together to destroy the Fourth Amendment. To us, we see both parties as really not being all that different from each other and we wish more people would wake up about it. I don't mean that disrespectfully; just being honest and I know no other way to put it.

So anyways, I voted for Ron Paul knowing he would lose because I support his message of staying true to the Constitution. The Freedom Movement is growing, and maybe we'll see some more Constitutional candidates come out of the Republican party one day. My hope in supporting him is to send a message to establishment that there are still a lot of people out there that believe in the rule of law, by a republic, under and upholding the Constitution of the United States.

Okay, so I've never taken a drink in my life and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. It looks like God told them that if they couldn't make the journey to tithe their increase, to turn it to money and blow it on whatever they want, including grape juice or even fermented wine.

I agree brother, I never said He wasn't. Christ was going to be crucified one way or another.

As far as whether or not God has alternate programs available, it all depends on whether or not God's invatations are sincere or not. It depends on whether or not the God of the Bible forces people to do things, or if He gives them the ability to choose on their own. I believe God means what He says when He says that He is not willing that any should perish. It is against the will of God for people to reject Him and go to Hell. God doesn't force people to reject Him, and Jesus promised that if He would be lifted up all men would be drawn unto Him.

If God's offer of a Messiah to Israel was not sincere, and regardless of how Jesus Christ felt about it in the end of Matthew 23 God the Father was still going to force Israel to reject the Messiah, then of course there was no alternate plan.

So? I answer questions that I think are pointless; even repeat myself over and over again. Sometimes this is in response to questions you ask. I have to go now, but if you're going to make a habit of asking questions all the time, which is fine, well, and good, you should be willing to answer them even if you don't see the point or don't like the question.

Why can't we know God's plan? He shares it with us throughout Scripture. Before the foundation of the world God knew exactly how everything would go and set forth His plan accordingly. His plan is consistent from beginning to end.

I agree to a certain degree. The question is, did God know it would happen the way it did or did He make it happen the way it did?

By the way, sarcasm is found all throughout the Bible, and is even used by God the Father and Jesus Christ - so I wouldn't knock it too much.

I agree that nothing surprises God, but now we're starting to go into the realm of what was God's plan and what was not. We can't know for sure either way. It certainly wasn't God's intention for Adam to sin and fall; though He knew it would happen and was prepared for it. Christ's offer was heartfelt and His rejection was painful, remember the end Matthew 23 where Jesus claims that it was His will to gather Israel together to Him. Christ's will was vetoed by man's free will.

Regardless, the 70 weeks are for Israel, they have not been fulfilled, that's all we really know. One could theorize that if they had accepted Christ after Calvary there would be no need for a gap, but once again that's starting to go down the road of the hypothetical.

It looks like we agree on most things here, Annie - but how is voting for Paul in the primary to send a message about the above issues, and then voting for the Republican candidate in November (regardless of who he is) harmful?

As far as the military, I'm for defense spending - but I'm not for wasting money. Why do we have bases throughout Europe? We have 900 military installations guarding other people's borders, but ours are wide open. The establishment Republicans have been talking about guarding our borders for over a decade but have done nothing, even when they owned everything and they could have.

1. The things following the 70 weeks have not been fulfilled.
2. The things that are supposed to happen during the 70th week have not occurred.

The above are facts that have not been refuted and they prove that the 70 weeks have not been fulfilled.

The x-factor is the fact that God changed programs and started dealing primarily with the Gentiles and instituted the church. This was a previously unknown mystery revealed only to Paul. This is why God chose to delay the 70th week, because it concerns Israel - not the Gentiles.

Annie, their idea of fixing our debt problem is by not spending as much as the Democrats, but still spending more money that we don't have. There is such a huge difference between Ron Paul's plan and the plan of the other three. Please remove your debating glassed and just listen.

The Federal Government spent 3.6 trillion dollars last year, but only took in 2.3 trillion. People act like this is not a big deal, but this is how countries like ours wind up like countries like Greece. Every citizen in this country is $50,000 in debt because of our government and they don't even know it. The taxpayers are $136,000 in debt! Ron Paul is the only man standing that has taken this seriously enough to actually suggest the drastic changes that are needed.

1. $929 billion was spend last year on military alone. There are 900 military installations all over the world and most of them are doing nothing but taking money from this country and pumping it into the country that has the military base. Ron Paul would make changes in this area that the other three have ignored. The other three will fix this problem by finding new people to go to war with!

2. There are several departments of the Federal government that can and should be run solely on a local and state level (and they would be run better!). One of the most glaring examples of this is the department of education. Ron Paul would do what he could to shut it down on a federal level, along with other departments that are huge money pits. No one has the courage to address this but Paul. All the rest will leave things as they are in this area.

3. Our central banking system, the Federal Reserve, is one of the most damaging institutions in this nation, if not the most. The government wants to spend money, so they ask the Fed to generate it. We're off the gold standard, so people say that our money is backed up by nothing. It's much worse than that; it's backed up by less than nothing: debt. For every dollar generated we owe the Federal Reserve that dollar back along with an interest rate attached to it. The Fed is a bank, and it has never been audited, and it has us by the throat because most of our federal income tax goes to paying this interest. Every increase in government spending means more fake money made with more interest charged by the Fed.

The Federal Reserve of 1913 was the third and final attempt to create a central banking system in America like there was in England when the Colonists left. This was done in a crisis, hasty moment to try and fix future exonomic problems (you can see how well it worked!). The first two central banking attempts in America failed. Andrew Jackson, the only president who ever paid off all our debt, was vehemently against a central banking system and shut down the second attempt. Ron Paul made this an issue in 2008, he wants to audit and then end the Fed.


I did not vote for Ron Paul because I thought he would win Idaho. This is Mormon country, and everyone knew that Mitt had it in the bag from day one. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary because I wanted my vote to send a message that there are a lot of people out there that care about the economy and these above issues. Because of Paul’s growing popularity, many candidates are starting to talk about point number three. Without Paul, that point would certainly continue to be ignored. Ron Paul came 30 votes shy of taking second place in Idaho. It was 18.2% to 18.1% - that is sending a clear message.

Hopefully we’re wrong and whoever gets it in November will turn things around financially for our country. I have four little kids, and I hate debt. It breaks my heart that a bunch of elitists in a foreign land (in this case Washington D.C.) who don’t know anything about my family values or where I live have taken it upon themselves to hand my children a bill for $136,000 just for being born.

I love these Republicans that talk about fixing our debt problem by finding new third world countries to go to war with. So asinine.
