  1. I agree wholeheartedly with your posts and thread, Dr. Ach. I for one, and glad that you have spoken up on this forum. After all, Online Baptist is "An Independent Baptist Community since 2002." Again, I came back to have fellowship with my IFB brothers and sisters in Christ, and learn more about the KJV. As I have stated, I don't have a prOBlem with people who join to learn more about the IFB. I welcome them. However, I have been discouraged for a long time with the way the mods have chastised me for calling a spade a spade. I have respected the wishes of the mods for some time, but enough is enough. I can no longer be silent. I can't watch this site fall apart with false doctrine. It is too important to me. After all, aren't I supposed to contend for the faith? "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." ~ Jude 3
  2. Very true, Ron. However, it is so difficult to talk with Pentacostals on this subject. I point out scriptures and they seem to fall on deaf ears. *sigh*
  3. Spot on, Beam! The RCC believes the Bible is symbolic not literal. I remember priests saying this, when I was being raised in the RCC. I questioned it, and wondered how God's word could be symbolic not literal. It makes zero sense and is calling God a liar. Unfortunately, this lie has made it's way into many Protestant churches.
  4. While my church doesn't raise our arms while praising God, I have been in churches where people do. People have different ways of showing glory, honour and praise to the Lord. I don't see a prOBlem with it, as long as it isn't an emotional show. KWIM?
  5. Catfish are certainly feisty fish. I have a few catfish in my life. My pastor told me that they are people who are placed in my life to test my faith and patience. I am inclined to agree with him, as they give me a run for my money.
  6. Queen? What a blast from my past. I haven't listened to that group since junior high.
  7. Covenanter, I don't understand your post. The church was started in the Book of Acts, where 3,000 souls were saved and added to it. Pentacost was when the church was empowered.
  8. Brother Garry, you are the head chef on OB. Your posts on food, make my mouth salivate. Yum!
  9. Yes, sharks and piranha. You can usually find them circling around their prey in used car lots.
  10. It appears that someone has their claws out. Are you sure it wasn't lOBster you ate for supper instead of salmon, John?
  11. Yes, I took it as that, as it was after I commented on the hymn being an RC hymn. Thank you for the apology Arbo, although it was really not necessary. I apologize for the misunderstanding, as well.
  12. I don't see America ever recovering. We have slowly dwindled into a nation of fools. "A fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." I know II Chronicles 7:14 is for the nation of Israel, however, it does apply to other nations including the USA. I don't see a comeback for the USA, as we slowly sink to more moral depravity. No one knows when we are going home except the Father in heaven. Let us continue to pray, read our Bibles preach the word of God, plant seeds and win the lost to Christ. "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." ~ Luke 12:31-32
  13. And, I am certain she is very lovely, brother:)
  14. Yes, you are correct. However, my Rabbi friend is part of the Temple Institute and he keeps me informed on recent events. He just told me that they are still a bit away from building the Temple. When I want to know something about Judaism, I go to the Jews for information. I don't know where you are getting your information from. If you are reading it on Christian sites, I would caution you on that. The Torah OBservant Jews are a much better source. That's all I am saying, brother.
  15. Arbo, you accused me in the other thread of when that was not my intent at all. I made a comment about Covenanter's hymn he posted, as it reminded me of the RCC. I can't help that it brought me back to my days in the RCC. You continued to make a joke that I only like Baptist choirs. Well, I do. I also left the RCC many years ago, and have no intention of going back to Rome. You have a tendency of stirring the pot, as well. I have never called you on it, either. Actually, I find it humorous. Also, I am not a Baptist Brider. Just so you know.
  16. I don't want to put a damper on your post, Beam. However, I personally know an Orthodox Rabbi in Israel. He recently told me that the Temple is not ready to be established anytime soon. I think he would know.
  17. Tonight's Supper: Ribs, corn on the cOB, baked beans and a tossed salad.
  18. I understand that many sexual abuse cases in the RCC are justified, however I know from my experience from teaching my second year in the Parochial School, that the case against the parish priest was not. The "Church on the Rise" case is especially strange as the charges are months apart from one another. It doesn't seem right at all to me, and certainly doesn't add up.
  19. I gathered that, Dr. Ach. It is a huge turn off for me. I listened to that growing up. The RCC likes to put on a show. I was surprised that I didn't hear any chanting. LOL I love the simplicity of the IFB choir. Gospel hymns praising our Lord Jesus Christ.
  20. Sadly, these few men have been saved for years John. One man, bless his heart, works about 12 hours a day. He comes into the Lutheran Church where we have our services, and immediately changes in the bathroom, into suitable clothing for Bible Study and prayer. Believe me, these few men have nicer clothing to wear. I have seen it. I want to talk with my FIL - Deacon - about it, but I don't want to overstep my bounds. My husband believes it is between them and the Lord, and won't say a word. I have to respect what he is saying. My FIL and my pastor, along with many other men are dressed appropriately. I don't understand how they don't get the hint, especially since they are seasoned Christians. *shrugs*
  21. This hymn along with the rOBes the choir members are wearing, and the candles, reminded me of the RCC Covenanter.
  22. This was on my local news station last night. The pastor of this church, along with his son are being accused of sexual harassment of a minor. I attended "Church on the Rise" a non-denominational church in Westlake, OH (west side of Cleveland, OH) for a few services many years ago. Pastor Paul Endrei is a graduate of Kent State University, where I graduated from in 1987. The last Wednesday night I attended there, I remembered the Holy Spirit speaking through this man. He said, "If you are a married woman, and have a home church that your husband attends, it isn't that we don't want your membership... the Lord has commanded you to follow your husband." It was also at "Church on the Rise" that the Lord reaffirmed me of my salvation, as I was struggling with it. I couldn't believe this when I saw it on T.V. I just wonder if the charges made on some pastors is justified. Being raised in the RCC, both of my older brothers were Altar Boys. Not once did a Roman Catholic priest ever make sexual advances towards them. Many of these stories are hogwash. Not that I am defending what the RCC teaches, I just wanted to clarify the truth. I also worked in a Parochial School for two years after graduating from K.S.U. My second year, the priest was accused of fondling two young boys. As it turned out, it was a fabricated story made up by the boys to bring negative attention to the "church." As they say, "negative attention is better than no attention at all." It went to court. Sadly, the priest died of cancer, shortly after being acquitted. Anyway, I never got the impression that Pastor Paul Endrei was a sexual predator. This was also the church, where Pastor Endrei gave a message on sodomy. Three homosexuals came to the church, early one Monday morning, and beat the custodian to a pulp. He was hospitalized for weeks. "Church on the Rise" never pressed charges, and Pastor Endrei continues to preach against sodomy to this day. BTW, this church is located in Cuyahoga County, not Lorain County as the article states. http://fox8.com/2014/06/05/second-pastor-at-westlake-church-charged/
  23. Bryan Denlinger is an awesome preacher. I have listened to many of his sermons. Pastor Alan C. Jenkins (my old IFB church) is a wonderful preacher. http://www.crbc-online.org/
  24. We are definitely on the same page, John. Neither England nor America is in any position to tell Israel what to do. What Israel does with their nation is up to them. God will handle all the details.
