  1. Our conscience is not always a good guide. If our conscience is not in line with Scripture then it's still wrong. Many follow their conscience and marry the wrong person, have an abortion, or do other wrong and sinful things.

    Romans 14

[22] Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
[23] And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

The same principle can apply to who you vote or don't vote for.

  2. If you believe that there is a difference between the OT and the NT, then you hold to a form of dispensationalism.
If you believe that there is a difference between the Church and Israel, then you hold to a form of dispensationalism.
If you believe that there is a difference between the demands of the OT Law upon Israel, and the removal of the Law after the Death of Christ, then you hold to a form of dispensationalism.

Dispensationalism merely recognizes the differences of God's dealing with men during different periods of time. Those who do not hold to dispensationalsim focus on the similarities, and overlook the obvious.
Yes, faith is required from Genesis to Revelation. I understand and accept that. But faith in what?
In the OT, under the Law, the offerings were REQUIRED, period. There is no getting around that fact. God wrote an entire book about the OT sacrificial ceremonial system - Leviticus. They were REQUIRED to worship at the Temple (or Tabernacle).
We are no longer required to offer ANY sacrifices, or go to any "holy" place, or keep any of the OT feasts.
That is a difference between the OT and NT.
Now what I just wrote was one very simple and very obvious difference.
Dispensationalism merely seeks to identify and understand these differences, and identify the time periods these differences existed in.
Some things remain the same, but not all things.
Some people try to split the dispensational hairs to closely.
Some people try to blur all the lines of distinction.

But to say that everything is the exact same from Genesis to Revelation is absurd.
Here is another example. Are we required to build an Ark to save our families? Noah was. If he had not built the Ark, he would have drowned with everyone else. Thus, the way God dealt with Noah, and the way God deals with us is different. Noah did not have any written Scripture. We do. God spoke directly to Noah, personally and audibly. God speaks to us today through the written word of God, and leads us by the Holy Spirit. DIFFERENCES.

    It is that simple.
Now, if you guys want to argue about it, fine - thats up to you.
As for me, I have better things to do.

Don't forget that the "gospel" that Abraham was saved by said "In thee shall all nations be blessed". Try getting someone saved with that today.

  3. Is it?

I’m not into politics, because I’m not a fan of getting disappointed and my hope is in the return of Christ, not the return of conservatism (haha!) to the Republican party. At the same time I understand the responsibility to vote.

From what I've heard, Romney is a liberal, Gingrich is a tramp, and Paul doesn't support Israel. What business do I have as Bible believing Christian voting any of them?

At the same time Obama is a Communist. I enjoy having freedom, don't you?

Should I refuse to vote and then secretly breathe a sigh of relief when my state goes red (I live in Idaho), or should I vote even if it's one of the above three guys?

What's a guy supposed to do?

    These are honest questions.

Always vote your conscience. If you can't vote in good conscience then don't vote at all. At the judgement seat of Christ this is what God is going to concerned about. Not whether so and so got elected or not.

  4. He is the fellowservant of John. That could be a lot of people, but wouldn't it be really interesting if it was Daniel?

God told Daniel to seal up the prophecy, and told John to open it up.

Interesting thought. We'll never know for sure because if it was mentioned the Catholics would probably pray to him also.
  5. Baseball. Go Phillies. Hope they don't break my heart again this year.

I'm also a huge Buffalo Bills fan but I've pretty much given up on ever seeing them win again.

I also like MMA, fishing (it is considered a sport), bowling and softball.

I played basketball, football, baseball and volleyball in my youth and volleyball was by far the most fun. I've also played in a beach volleyball league, softball and bowling leagues. I always found the co-ed leagues more fun to play because it wasn't as competive.

Now I don't do anything because I'm old and fat.

  6. Did you only watch one movie? I've seen most of them over the years, especially in my childhood and youth, and he didn't prortray a bully in his movies. In most of his movies he was an American manly man with a touch of modern feminism softening him.

Have you ever watched Angel and the Badman?

Yes, I've seen most of his movies and he was always kicking someone in the butt or punching someone. And look how he dragged around Maureen O'hara in The Quiet Man.

It's interesting how many murderers have had the middle name of "Wayne". Notice the authors 4th disclaimer.

    Here's a list:

  7. Any of you that have a "smartphone" should download the Youversion bible app by lifechurch.tv from the android market. The best thing about this app is that you can listen to the bible. I used to have listen to the bible first by tape than by CD. The probelm with this was it was cubersome. The CD set had something like 30 discs in it. Not very user friendly. I highly recommend this. It's free and you'll be able to listen to the entire KJV off of your phone.

  8. I mean if your husband/wife commits adultery or what if your husband/wife converts to another religion?

Is it ok then for a divorce?

You should always do what you can to keep the marriage together. But things don't always work out the way you want them to. Christians get divorced and you'll will always be able to find a congregation that will still accept you. Also, this is why God invented a thing called forgiveness.

The most resistence you'll find from other IFB Christians will be against you getting married again after divorce. Most IFBers will consider you an adulterer. I suspect this is one of many reasons that Christians leave the IFB movement for more non-denominational churches. They won't be able to stand the lonliness of being single all their life and will want to get married therefore will leave for a more accepting church.

  9. The fact is, the ESV paints Jesus as being a liar, therefore, the statement in that translation that Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day is false. It was not a lying Christ that died, was buried and rose again, but rather a sinless Christ.

One cannot lead another to a saving faith by pointing them to a false Christ.

I think you are being a little extreme about this.

  10. 1 Peter 3:19-20

    King James Version (KJV)

    19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Whoever these spirits were they were disobedient during the days of Noah. The only thing I can think of are the "sons of God" aka "angels that kept not their first estate" during Noah's time.
