  1. [Where in Scripture does it say that music allows Satan to get into a person through music? Only you can choose to allow Satan to have influence. Nothing of itself is evil.

It's clear in scripture that music is primarily for worship. Satan desires worship and was a musical creature. So it would only make sense that he would use music. Nebuchanezzar had everyone bow to him and his image at the playing of music. Does this sound familiar? Music is also governed by laws so I would imagine Satan would want to pervert that also. And since music issues from the heart of man it can be evil.
  2. Pedophiles aslso fall under reprobate minds. Molestation of children is one of the worst things I can think of.

To Pedophile-Tolerating Psychiatrists: Make Our Day
Copyright 2003 by David W. Neuendorf

"Most people that I know view pedophilia as the ultimate in evil perversion. That's why it is so surprising that there is a growing faction among psychiatrists advocating that we at least tolerate the practice of adult/child sexual relations."

My prediction is that they will eventually justify pedophilia as they have with homosexuality. It use to be that sodomy was considered a mental illness. Now they call you a homophobe (a phobia is considered a mental illness) if you think sodomy is disgusting or a sin. Even Christians have jumped on this bandwagon. I had a good Baptist lady call me a homophobe because I didn't want to watch the movie Brokeback Mountain.

The goal is to break down all barriers and distinctions between race, sex, age, authority within the home, man and animal kingdom so that we all can be brought under the rulership of the Antichrist. The Antichrist's kingdom will be a DEMOCRACY with the people crying about "equal rights" or "human rights" all the time as opposed to "God's rights." Congress has already sought to drop the "age of consent" to 12. Children decide about abortions without parents approval. Some politicians want to drop the voting age to 14. It's all being set up.
  3. I understand that in the O.T. tithing 10% was the law but now that we are in the N.T. age aren't we to give 100% from the heart not just a set 10%? Pixiedust OH!! and Also I have to say that all of Kevin Millers verses show we are one body NOW. Am I missing something here? Aen't all saved now the Church?

Well, this is much debated. Abraham was before the law and he gave a tenth of all he owned to Melchizedek (a type of Christ). I also think that the Jews actually gave more than 10% under the law. Something closer to 30% after all was said and done. But whatever you decide to do if you don't do it with a cheerful heart as unto the Lord it won't amount to a hill of beans to begin with.

As far as the church, which is his body. You and Kevin are both right. All believers are part of the church (which is the body of Christ), including those that are already in heaven and those who haven't been saved yet are predestined to be part of the body (flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone) once they accept Christ.
  4. I found that the closer I got to the Lord or the more I got into the word the less I listened to hard rock, etc. (Country music can be just as filled with the devil as rock music). So, placing somekind of rule on believers about the type of music they should or shouldn't listen to never works. It has to be the Holy Spirit that convicts each believer in this area. It's almost a "natural" process. The closer you get to the Lord the more you'll see your tastes in music change. Exceptions prove the rule. We are commanded to sing hymns, spiritual songs, etc and to make MELODY in our heart to the Lord (most rap music has not melody).

  5. There is no right or wrong. There is good and bad but that can depend on where someone is looking from Eg - Supporting Saddam against Iran is good but then it becomes a bad thing. The map is not the territory. There is effective and not effective and a whole lot of shades inbetween. There is the power to change' date=' to learn to love but not when you have to live your live within the interpertation of a 2000 year old book.[/quote']

    Mark of a mad man.

  6. Well, you've not given me much to go on, there! :wink

The book explains the theory of evolution and then takes each bit to task. But the initial explanation is incorrect (at least in all the bits I've read), so the book ends up arguing against something that evolutionists wouldn't recognise anyway.

Imagine if someone wrote a book rebutting a speech made by someone, but in the book they used a different speech spoken by someone else. It might be a good rebuttal, but it would be a rebuttal of the wrong speech.

You still aren't being clear. Are you saying that the theory of evolution he rebuts is an outdated view? If that is the case please give me an example. I'm fairly familiarly with the theory (having been brainwashed with it throughout school) and most of what is said is a fair understanding of what evolutionists believe and teach. I'm sure they have had to change some of their theory since none of it works anyway.
  7. There are two raptures. One before the time of Jacob's trouble and one in the mid point of that time period.

That is where much confusion has been done, by making all the references apply to only one catching away, folks have put the church in the middle trib point rapture.

Do some more homework before you come back and ask for the verses. You have the verses. You simply need to place them at the right junctures.

    God bless,

    Calvary

This is correct. The two raptures deal with two different groups of people at two different periods of history. Most people who wrest scriptures to their own destruction do it by take verses that apply to Jews and lay them down on the church.

Read Isaiah 26 and Revelation 13 for the rapture at the midway point of Jacob's trouble or at the end of the "beginning of sorrows" and at the beginning of "the great tribulation."

  8. I guess what I am cofused about is' date=' is the day of Christ the rapture or armageddon?[/quote']

A careful study of scripture will show that the "day of Christ", as the "day of the Lord", runs from the rapture all the way to the creation of the new heavens and earth. The context lets you know this.

Specifically, the day of Christ in II Thessalonians 2 is the day of "our gathering together unto him" mentioned in verse one.

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him"

This gathering will occur at the rapture and seems to lead right into the "judgement seat of Christ" since everytime Paul uses the term "day of Christ" he is referring to the judgement of the saints.

    Philippians 1:10- That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

Philippians 2:16- Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

  9. I'd be careful with this "order of salvation" stuff. Before you know it you may be teaching works for salvation. The word of God simply says that "whosover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." If you open your mouth and ask Christ Jesus to save your wretched soul than you have already done all the other things simultaneously (repent, believe, confess). Don't get away from the simplicity of the gospel. Think of it as when Peter was going under the waves. All he said was "Lord save me!" He didn't confess the whole Lordship of Christ , repent, acknowledge, desire to do good works, etc etc. He would have drowned by then.

  10. The secret I found out when I doubted my salvation was to ask myself what I would be trusting in to get into heaven if I was to die right there sand then. Say God was at that time ask me why he should let me into heaven what would my answer be. I think most folks have doubts because they can't remember the exact date or time they were saved and they think that unless they had written it down then maybe they weren't saved.

Ask yourself. What are you trusting in right NOW for your eternal salvation?

  11. In Isaiah 27:1 leviathan is definitely Satan.

Isaiah 27:1- In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

    cf

Revelation 13:1- And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

    and...

Revelation 12:9- And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

I don't think the Lord 's gonna take time out to kill a crocodile or hippopatamus at his return.

In Job 41, though, whatever it is it's a TYPE of Satan but probably somekind of extinct dinosaur.

  12. That 'Evolution Cruncher' book refutes a very distorted version of evolution. It mis-represents the theory to such an extent that it is difficult to believe it wasn't done on purpose (though I don't think it was). That's my opinion from just reading chapter 9 all the way through.

There are no doubt plenty of rebuttals of evolution that represent the theory correctly; 'Evolution Cruncher' isn't one of them.

    Please explain yourself.
  13. Hi everyone. Here's a link to probably the best site I've found online with scientific information from the creationist viewpoint. Most of the stuff is downloadable. The "Evolution Cruncher" is really nice. Enjoy!
