  1. Your are going to find "renegades" under a free society. You will find more cults and sects withing a democratic nation then under a dictatorship. The surest thing to clear out these folks as well as seperating the men from the boys if for a dictatorship to be set up within a country. China has more practicing Christians than all of Europe put together.

  2. I said it before and I'll say it again, our meddling in the Middle-East by helping overthrow dictators will ultimately help bring in a Islamic Caliphate run by Imans. The best thing for that region of the world is to have iron-fisted dictators keeping the crazies in line. But dumb America thinks that inside every Muslim is a American looking to bust out. I know for a fact that the politicians have been warmed by experts on understanding the Muslim and the Arab peoples that this isn't the case. Votes are more important then the safety of our country.

  3. Can someone show me a verse where it says we were "saved" before the foundation of the world? I don't see it. I see where we we "chosen in him" but that is not the same as being "saved in him". Read the passage carefully. It says nothing about us being saved in eternity past. If that we the case then, in essence, we were saved at one time but then lost our salvation then were saved again.

The passage says we were "chosen in him" to be "holy and without blame before him in love". i.e God determined before hand that all those who accept the Son will have a holy and blameless position before the Father. You don't get "in him" until you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord in Savior.

  4. "Evil communications corrupt good manners". So yes, it can effect your spiritual life. If it couldn't then God wouldn't have told us to seperate from certain people. Unfortunately it seems God leaves us in the middle of bad places at times and doesn't do nothing about it. I guess in this evil fallen world you just can't get away from bad people, situations or places all the time. Unless you become a monk.

  5. It seems the OP is letting her fear of one man's reputation decide what to believe about the KJV. This is not smart. This would be like letting our opinion about the deity of Christ be effected by the Pope. The Pope believes Jesus is the Son of God does that mean we shouldn't?

  6. My all time favorite from my truck driving days was a 5 by 4 & or a 4 by 4, even in heavy traffic.

5 by 4, 5 speed manual main box with a 4 speed auxiliary transmission

4 by 4, 4 speed main transmission with a 4 speed auxiliary transmission

Of course today no one wants to shift gears, to lazy, & most of the younger generation have never driven a manual shift transmission so they do not know what its all about.

The smoothest running, shifting, quietest, best running trucks I have even driven were the ones with a manual shifting main & auxiliary transmission. And if I were to buy a truck to drive myself, that is what I would buy, for another plus for them is you can get many trouble free miles out of them.

My first driving experience was a cement mixer truck, it had a 5 speed main box with a 3 speed auxiliary transmission, it was a Ford with a 390 cubic inch engine that runs on gasoline. I went over some back wood logging roads, pouring bridges, that the hill was so steep that I was in 1st gear in both the main & auxiliary box before reaching the top, just creeping up the hill side, with ready-mix running out the back of the mixer & descended hill sides just as steep.

It sounded tough when pulling a hill side with that big 4 barrel carburetor wide open, plus it would literal drink the gas..

When you drive a 10 speed and are out weeks at a time like I was you start getting lazy with the shifting and start skipping and floating gears. You even stop using the clutch like I did. Constant double clutching in city traffic wrecks the knee.
  7. One series of the Spiderman comic already has changed Peter Parker into a half black/half hispanic guy with the last name Morales. Not that I really care. Personally, I think the whole obssession with superheroe characters is weird. The Avengers movie has made 1 billion worldwide in 19 days. 1 billion dollars spent mostly by grown ups on a kiddie fantasy made mostly with green screen and CGI,

  8. I have to say that I disagree. As with anything, you have to go into it with the right mentality and the right people. Yes, if you think that it's horrible then you probably shouldn't get married. However, there are many, many people who have God-honoring marriages that do reflect Christ's relationship to the church.

I know just as many marriages that have fallen apart. And I'm talking marriages within IFB churches. 100% of the time the man will be blamed also and will be punished by the state and his local church. Texas is 90% Baptist and also has the highest divorce rate of all the states. Paul said it well when he said you'd do better to remain single.

  9. Ironic that lately I've been hearing a lot of "patritotism and politics" talk on Christian radio with most saying exactly what Ron Paul has been saying yet none of the Christian "leaders" supported Ron Paul. In fact, these "leaders" either ignored Ron Paul or outright spoke ill of him. In the meantime, they endorsed or spoke in favor of candidates which would continue the course of the nation in the same wrong direction.

Sadly, most Christians fail to really pray for our nation or our leaders. If they do pray they typically fall into the "my will be done" mode of prayer as they ask God to bless their selected candidate and their selected political Party rather than laying things before the Lord, seeking His guidance, and praying that His will be done.

Rather than prayer, spreading the Gospe and making disciples, too many American Christians think they do their "Christian duty" by being politically active, arguing for their pet candidates and political Party and then casting their vote.

You can't get around the fact the Paul holds crazy views on drugs, prostitution and Israel that most pastors are not going to support.
  10. I know many trucking companies have been adding automatic trucks to their fleet so they can attract more women drivers.

After driving a 10 speed tractor trailer for five years I enjoyed driving automatic vehicles after that. All the shifting and double clutching really wore me out.

  11. I remember reading that there was an increase of breast cancer in women who had an abortion. Of course, the media went made over this and quashed it as soon as possible. But if you research it online I'm sure you can find the info.

  12. Anyone who gets married today is nuts. Unless you absolutely can't control yourself than avoid it. If you are thinking of becoming a pastor it may be beneficial to get married simply because people will respect you more as a pastor. But outside of that it's better to stay single IMO.

As far as the scripture you posted I'm not sure if the unsaved are considered to be in the image of God. How can they be in the image of God when the NT calls them the "children of the devil"? Seems mankind lost the image at the fall and are consider in the least "the image of Adam" (Gen. 5:3) and at the most the image of the devil. I really don't think God cares about marriage of the unsaved. Only his children. Does the marriage of the unsaved reflect the relationship of Christ and his church? If so then why won't most bible believing pastors marry unsaved couples?

  13. Yes you can renounce it but it doesn't matter. You are still going to heaven. He'll deny us reigning with him but he won't deny us as his flesh and bone.

    2 Tim.2:11-13

[11] It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
[12] If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
[13] If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

  14. Jail ministries are great. The jails and prisons are some of the most fertile fields. Much more fertile than gated communites. The Muslims themselves understand this. Also, don't be afraid of jumping at an opprotunity you might get to help out at a prison or jail ministry. I worked as a C/O for a while and many of these inmates will chomp at the bit to hear you speak.

  15. In our society today its impossible to buy a house without having a mortgage. It is what it is.... honor God and He will honor you.

I agree. The system is set up to make us financial slaves to the banks. Really, it is not much different than the feudal economies. Even if you rent you are in essence paying someone elses mortage. There is no escaping unless you inherit a home but how many people do you know inherit homes these days? My parents are so in debt with their mortage that they won't be able to pay it off until they die unless they both make it to almost 100 years old. So the house will go back to the bank and I'll still be renting.
  16. My prediction is that the case will go into limbo for a while until people calm down a little more. Then Zimmerman will be convicted of 2nd manslaughter with time served (he'll probably rot in jail for the next two years while the lawyers milk it). He'll do some prison time and get paroled early and be moved to a secret location like they did with Casey Anthony.

The goal is to avoid the black riots that will occur if he is let off. There is no way this man will get a fair trial. He's already convicted. At this time it's all about future planning and timing to deal with the repercussions of the verdict.

Another issue they'll have to deal with is the Florida law and how it's applied. You know now that anytime a black man is shot in self defense this law will not apply. It will only apply to other races.
