  1. The non mangled interpretation of the passage is it means what it says and says what it means. It's 144,000 Jews from the tribes of Israel. Why is this so hard to grasp? It's not "born again Jews" or "Jewish Christians" or the "Israel of God" (i.e. the church). You have no evidence in history of 144,000 virgin male Christian Jews fleeing Israel before the fall of Jerusalem. Even if they did what happened to them afterward? Did they get married and move to France with Jesus and Mary Magdalene? Did they become Ethiopians? Did the become the Royal Family in England? You are making up history like the Mormons do. And what about Daniel 9:27? What covenant did Jesus break in the midst of the week? The OT? Jesus didn't break it he fulfilled it. Plus, Jesus' ministry was 3 1/2 years not 7 years. Why the mention of another 3 1/2 years? Was it the NT? So Jesus broke the NT 3 1/2 years after his resurrection? Or perhaps it was Titus who broke the covenant in the midst of the week. Well, what "week" is this a reference to and how did Titus break the covenant? Either way you read it it doesn't make sense. You have to account for those 3 1/2 years after the covenant is broken. Which covenant is it in Daniel 9:27? It's clear from Daniel 9:4 cross referenced with Exodus 20:6 that the covenant mentioned in that passage is the OT. You need to put down your Church of England beliefs and believe the bible. Great Britain is not the Israel of God, the Royal Family are not descendants of the crown of Israel and Jerusalem will not be built on England's green and pleasant land.
  2. Go over to Fighting Fundamentalist forum and you'll see a lot of them rejoicing and wanting to see him get the most severe punishment as possible so they can say "I told you so." I have never heard Schaap preach nor have I ever read anything by him. I am quit familiar with Jack Hyles though and I never came across any of the things they claim he said. Maybe it was different in private but from all the tons of sermons I listened too from the 70's and 80's I never heard him preach any of these crazy things folks claim he did.
  3. I agree with you Jerry. Too many of the brethren rejoice at this things so they can say "I told you so". None of this is good for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Not Jack Schaap's fornication nor the brethren who keep railing on him, Hyles and First Baptist. All these pastors who keep falling and backsliding is very troubling.
  4. Are you serious? You really do have some issues with that church don't you. It seems the only time you come into this forum it's for the purpose of nailing Jack Hyles and First Baptist. This makes me think there is a deeper issue going on with YOU. If the church was so corrupt they wouldn't have outed him. If he was so corrupt I guarantee he wouldn't have laid down so easily for the law.
  5. I just don't understand how a 54 year old man who is a pastor gets tangled up with a 17 year old girl. I'm 44 and I wouldn't be able to get a 17 year old girl to give me the time of day let alone this stuff (which, by the way, I am very thankful for!). This makes me think the girl herself was emotional insecure. Maybe she never had a father figure in the home. This isn't the first pastor I know of that this has happened to. I can guarantee one thing it all started with him looking at porn on that computer of his. I know some of the brethren would like to see the death penalty applied here but I think 10 years hard time is a bit harsh for fornicating with a 17 year old girl. But being a pastor and man of influence over people he's probably gonna get slammed hard.
  6. Yes, some of them believed you could lose your salvation but they still believed your initial salvation was by grace without works. This is a contradiction but they still preached the gospel as it was to be preached. They were just messed up on eternal security. A lot of the converts of these men became baptists in the long run. Whitefield complained of this. The city of Lynchburg, VA which is primarily Baptist is the result of Lorenzo Dow's preaching. His arrival in Lynchburg, VA in the early 1800's is a fascinating story. Also, about John Wesley, I've haven't read too much of his own personal writings on biblical doctrines but from what I heard he never came out and said you could lose your salvation. He just stated that the bible appeared to teach that you could lose it. His followers just took it to the extreme.
  7. Huckabee was on O'Reilly tonight and O'Reilly asked him if Chick-fil-A was going to stop giving money to pro traditional marriage groups and Huckabee dodged the question.
  8. This is good to hear about the mother. Or at least as good as it possibly could be under the circumstances. Proverbs 25:25- As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. I would take your children. This is all part of preparing them for life IMO. Maybe this will lead into a discussion about of the brevity of life and the things of God. They may not totally understand or appreciate it now but when they get older they will thank you for it.
  9. That's sad. 56th is not very old. These are the things which get you wondering if the Lord knows what he's doing or if he's paying attention. Maybe it's this: Isaiah 57:1,2 [1] The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. [2] He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
  10. If you want to see true revival read about Lorenzo Dow, Sam Jones, John Wesley, Charles Finney and George Whitefield. These preachers spearheaded great revivals because there was something to revive to begin with. They had something to work with because most people, even the wicked, knew the word of God. You don't have that today. The turning point began towards the end of Billy Sunday's life when you had the beginnings of the Progressive Movement and the complete apostasy of Ivy League schools and seminaries like Union Theological. Nobody believes that we even have the word of God anymore. Just "reliable translations". So there isn't much there for God to work with to convict and convert. Here is a book about the revivals that took place in St. Louis and what killed them off: http://www.amazon.co...howViewpoints=1 I really believe revival won't occur again in this country until the the Great Tribulation when the Lord forces the issue. I hear that it's going on in other nations like S. Korea, China and Cuba but even when you look into that it seems like it's nothing but Charismatic gobbledygook. A friend of mine, who is a missionary/evangelist, was in Kenya and some preacher was bragging to him about the revivals he was holding but then he starting talking about how he raised the dead, healed the sick and spoke in tongues.
  11. Sounds like what my brother's wife goes through. She's a born again Jew and all her family members, except for one sister, are complete liberal loons who pick fights with her at every available opportunity. So tell your wife she's not alone in this and to stick to her guns (i.e. the Old and New Testaments).
  12. This isn't the verse but it came to mind anyway when reading your question: Proverbs 11:21- Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. All the "Kumbaya" moments the liberals have together won't stop the inevitable.
  13. It was already old when I picked it up. One of these discount deals. It looked like a furry little critter by time I went to eat it.
  14. I actually wrote Clinton when he was POTUS for his need to be saved and sent him a Chick tract. The tract about David's sin with Bathsheba. I don't want these people to go to hell but he still is a slimy weasel. I'm sure Jesus would have called him that to.
  15. John, people's outward appearance many times is a manifestation of what's in them. She looks like a watered down rat because she is one. Jesus had no problem calling people wolves, vipers and foxes.
  16. I agree. The next revival won't be until the Great Tribulation and it will be met with beheadings.
  17. I lived in Upstate, NY for 11 years. They have destroyed that state too. A lot of Upstate, NY is conservative but has been ruined because of Albany's catering to New York City. There have been numerous attempts for the state and city to part ways. http://en.wikipedia....n_New_York#1969
  18. My brother and his wife went to see 2016:Obama's America which reveals who and what Obama really is in Obama's own words, upbringing and influences. It's produced by the guy who produced Schindler's List. The producer said the movie needed to be made to show who Obama really is.
  19. Here was another United States of Obama flag that was flown at a DNC headquarters in Florida. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/03/14/us-flag-depicting-president-obama-removed-from-floridas-lake-county-democratic/ Did anyone find it disgusting that right after all the riots and killings at our embassies Obama was on the David Letterman Show cracking jokes with his liberal buddy? Yet, nothing has been done about the murder of the Ambassador. So we have him sleeping while the riots are happening and cracking jokes just afterward.
  20. So according to the sodomite controlled media pro "traditional marriage groups" are the same as "anti-gay groups".
  21. Why would the sodomites lie about this? It would only make them look bad and Chick-fil-A look good. If anything the sex perverts would want to make Chick-fil-A look as mean and bigoted as possible. I think there is some truth to the OP. Chick-fil-A the end of the day is a business and ostracizing any group of people, including sex perverts, is not good for business. They need to figure out how please both sides. I'm still convinced that Chick-fil-a will eventually side with the perverts because the sodomites (like most liberals) will keep at it relentlessly until the opposition caves.
  22. Ginsburg is a complete fruitcake. She resembles a rat that just crawled out of the sewer. Only uglier. This is the same women who wants co-ed prisons and that the age of consent should be 12. The latter statement the liberals tried covering for her by saying it was a "drafting error".
  23. Did he really say this? Hey, have you ever notice how serpentine Carville looks? The guy looks like a walking reptile.
