  1. I see that one of Covenator's buddies has joined the fray.
  2. So all this started when he was counselling her for abuse?! That may be another reason the Feds came down hard on him.
  3. I was banned from a site that worshipped John Piper. Everything was John Piper. They were nuts about the guy. Nothing that guy said could ever be questioned. I can't even remember what it was that got me banned. I think it was something to do with Bob Jones U. and race but I'm not sure. Anyway, the website doesn't exist anymore. At least I can't find it.
  4. Why does it have to be Baptist? I would recommend Lewis Sperry Chafer to anyone. He was a Congregationalist minister which is very similar to Baptist. I'm not suggesting everything is spot on but what makes his set of Systematic Theology the best IMO is the practical applications he makes along with the doctrine he teaches. It's not a dry read. Here's it is if you want to check it out in pdf format: http://books.google....epage&q&f=false Here you can by it: http://www.christian...rds&event=ESRCP Here is his book Major Bible Themes, which is an abridged version of his Sys
  5. OK, but last night Huckabee made it sound like that they would only continue to be a pro traditional family business but he dodged the question about whether they would continue to give money.
  6. The non mangled interpretation of the passage is it means what it says and says what it means. It's 144,000 Jews from the tribes of Israel. Why is this so hard to grasp? It's not "born again Jews" or "Jewish Christians" or the "Israel of God" (i.e. the church). You have no evidence in history of 144,000 virgin male Christian Jews fleeing Israel before the fall of Jerusalem. Even if they did what happened to them afterward? Did they get married and move to France with Jesus and Mary Magdalene? Did they become Ethiopians? Did the become the Royal Family in England? You are making up history li
  7. Go over to Fighting Fundamentalist forum and you'll see a lot of them rejoicing and wanting to see him get the most severe punishment as possible so they can say "I told you so." I have never heard Schaap preach nor have I ever read anything by him. I am quit familiar with Jack Hyles though and I never came across any of the things they claim he said. Maybe it was different in private but from all the tons of sermons I listened too from the 70's and 80's I never heard him preach any of these crazy things folks claim he did.
  8. I agree with you Jerry. Too many of the brethren rejoice at this things so they can say "I told you so". None of this is good for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Not Jack Schaap's fornication nor the brethren who keep railing on him, Hyles and First Baptist. All these pastors who keep falling and backsliding is very troubling.
  9. Are you serious? You really do have some issues with that church don't you. It seems the only time you come into this forum it's for the purpose of nailing Jack Hyles and First Baptist. This makes me think there is a deeper issue going on with YOU. If the church was so corrupt they wouldn't have outed him. If he was so corrupt I guarantee he wouldn't have laid down so easily for the law.
  10. I just don't understand how a 54 year old man who is a pastor gets tangled up with a 17 year old girl. I'm 44 and I wouldn't be able to get a 17 year old girl to give me the time of day let alone this stuff (which, by the way, I am very thankful for!). This makes me think the girl herself was emotional insecure. Maybe she never had a father figure in the home. This isn't the first pastor I know of that this has happened to. I can guarantee one thing it all started with him looking at porn on that computer of his. I know some of the brethren would like to see the death penalty applied here
  11. Huckabee was on O'Reilly tonight and O'Reilly asked him if Chick-fil-A was going to stop giving money to pro traditional marriage groups and Huckabee dodged the question.
  12. It was already old when I picked it up. One of these discount deals. It looked like a furry little critter by time I went to eat it.
  13. So according to the sodomite controlled media pro "traditional marriage groups" are the same as "anti-gay groups".
  14. Why would the sodomites lie about this? It would only make them look bad and Chick-fil-A look good. If anything the sex perverts would want to make Chick-fil-A look as mean and bigoted as possible. I think there is some truth to the OP. Chick-fil-A the end of the day is a business and ostracizing any group of people, including sex perverts, is not good for business. They need to figure out how please both sides. I'm still convinced that Chick-fil-a will eventually side with the perverts because the sodomites (like most liberals) will keep at it relentlessly until the opposition caves.
  15. Yeah, you'll always find something that will be off. But you can't argue with the fact that it's free.
  16. You need to go back and read Daniel 9 objectively without the goggles of the CoE on.
  17. Probably a little bit of all. God starts the movement. Man turns it into a machine. Eventually Satan turns it into a monument where the birds of the air like to perch.
  18. Bible believers have always existed, not Baptists. The mistake is made that Baptists have been around since Pentecost (or some say since John the Baptist) because Baptists generally make up the largest block of bible believing Christians. There may come a day where the Baptist label will not be used any more by bible believing Christians because of apostasy among Baptist churches.
  19. They'll eventually cave like everyone else. They'll start feeling bad after enough Christians start quoting bible verses to them about how mean and unloving they are or that they need to sit and have a dialogue with the queers. Their conscience will falsely accuse them then it will be "Celebration Homo Day". (See, even some of you twitched when I used the words "queer" and "homo".)
  20. The ark is in heaven. Rev. 11:19- And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. My guess is that the Jews will go ahead and build another ark or that the Antichrist will "find" it someplace and give it to them.
  21. So you believe that the Jews aren't entitled to the land because they are to be continued to be trodden down by us until the completion of the church? You believe that the covenant confirm in Daniel 9 is the NT? See, this is what I'm saying. Mangled scripture. MANGLED! And not one peep from John in defense of the truth.
  22. I was going to provide a "rebuttal" after he got done mangling the scripture. By the way John, I never see you providing too many rebuttals. You seem to always run to his defense.
  23. Do you believe that God still has a special place in his heart for the NATION of Israel (I'm not talking about "spiritural Jews" or "Jewish Christians" here)? Do you believe that Israel will be restored to God as his chosen nation sometime in the future? Do you believe that the promises and covenants still belong to them? Do you believe they have a right to the land of Palestine? Do you believe that they should hand their land over to the Arabs? Do you believe that the OT promises made to Abraham and David still apply to them? Do you believe that Christ's literal and physical 1000
