God does not call men that are fit to preach; he calls men and makes them fit for preaching.

"Preaching is not a calling from God to certain men; Preaching is a calling from God to all men".
From Rom 10:13-14 we learn that a lost person must first HEAR the word, secondly BELIEVE the word and finally Call for salvation. If preaching (as defined by man) is only to a select few; then only these few have the authority ("how shall they hear without a preacher") to witness (thru preaching) to the lost.
