  1. Please be in prayer for BBC. Last Sunday, August 11th, as well as, this Sunday and then the next, Evangelist Dan Souza will be preaching in our service. I am asking that the Holy Spirit have free course and be glorified. Please, we have great need! Thank you, ~Deborah
  2. Angels by the way are...Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Interesting...when you put the Scripture line upon line, precept upon precept... Matthew 18 talking of angels...Hebrews talking of angels...
  3. The New Testament in reference to Moses said...Hebrews 11:24-27 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. [but the important point to remember here is that this occured in the OLD Testamant. Before Jesus, the requirements for Salvation were very different. OBviously Moses did not go to hell eventhough He never accepted Jesus as his Saviour - he could not have done, as Jesus had not been born at that stage. In Old Testament times, to belong to the Jewish race (God's chosen people) was sufficient qualification to ensure a place in Heaven, so long as you did not break the laws of the Prophets. But since the New Testament, it is imperative to believe in Jesus to get to Heaven.]...He believed in Jesus the Christ of God... By Faith...same today as in Old Testament...what say ye of Hebrews? [babies, and young children who die before they are old enough to understand the gospels and worship Jesus, unfortunately go straight to Hell. This is a Bible fact, and anybody who disagrees is guilty of heresy. I trust that I have sucessfully refuted the heresies of the lieberal element that have been smearing the internet with their new-age, pluralist (aka satanic) lies.] And what say ye of...Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. if then they are so hell bound then why, would JESUS say this the above of them... Jesus was written of in the of and was to believed in the Old Testament...Luke 24:44-45 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me...concerning me...
  4. 2 Timothy 2:11-19 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. but to the subverting of the hearers... SUBVERT'ING, ppr. Overthrowing; entirely destroying. Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some... when it comes to doctrine herein is the objective "overthrowing;entirely destroying" their argument with truth that we have studied and are able to rightly divide....hence anchoring those who have not fallen prey to false doctrine... 2 Timothy 2:1-7 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
  5. I am really sadden by this post...if I am not mistaken Paul Chappell does not charge for the live streaming...and to say he is promoting self is not listening to His Preaching and/or teaching...your beginning statement gave as to the heart from which you speak..."general dislike for"John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.... Paul Chappell, a man of God that is promoting Jesus the Christ of God using what technology available to the glory of the Father...The good that God is doing through this ministry is rather to be chosen and welcomed than talked about by someone whose intro to what he has to say is quoted as..."Maybe it is my general dislike for Paul Chappell and his shameless promotion of himself and his ministries, as if he has some corner on something" Promoting himself, really? The disciples had a problem also with someone doing the will of God... Mark 9:38-39 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. I am just saddened...
  6. Maybe first off the line should be IFB...if they do not designate themselves to be IFB then the denial is at the very beginning...whether lounge or any other part of the site what is doctrinally believed come out in their writing... It really depends on your purpose for this site...go back and look at your initial purpose for this site...have you moved from that purpose have you added or redefined your purpose? I am not going to an IFB because there is not one where I live, but of the choices that is had the one I am a member is the closest Baptist church to it... I will say though if your purpose is IFB church goers I would sacrifice the fellowship for the sake of your pupose because of and for the purity of truth to those young IFBer's whose beliefs are growing and need not be brought into cofusion what can be read by those whose beliefs are not fundamental...does that make sense? My imput... Deborah
  7. Genesis 29:33 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon? opps?...the question mark is mine...yes? How can you tell you just might too much time in the Bible? :scratchchin:
  8. The off topic Sciptures were ones that came to mind...hence "off topic" my brain works funny sometimes and I was just expressing what popped up .... my husband calls them "pop ups" this phrase he got from a book he read once :)
  9. opps...Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. This is another verse that intrigues me...any comments I also find it interesting that Paul went over his credentials so to speak in one portion of Scripture..1 Corinthians 9:1-9 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord. Mine answer to them that do examine me is this, Have we not power to eat and to drink? Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas? Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working? Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? This truly is an interesting question...how does one try the spirits...I believe you line them up with the Word of God and ask God for discernment because even our foe can make himself as an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14-15And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works... and the Word also says something Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. This may be after the rapture I am not sure but my point remains that "in so much, if it were possible..." The answer to this question should be taken seriously enough to have believers of age in the Word to jump on it for the insight of those who are young in the Word...
  10. For what reason are you looking? Are you doing some sort of research? What saith the Scripture? Isn't that the most important as the human authors are subject to error where the Author of the Book of books the Word of God does not and we have the Spirit of the Author that leads us into truth sometimes even contrary to human authors...
  11. Question....what is the question? Are you looking for an author to support Saturday worship in regards to Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.Exodus 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. ? I know those verses were never mentioned, but there seems to be a deeper question behind the question...is there?
  12. Isn't this a bit like "Simeon Says"? Sometimes we answer instead of question don't we?
  13. I am thankful for the the improvements God has allowed in the area of health...MRI, CT Scan, Xrays etc...to God be the glory1
  14. Mark 9:38-40 "And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. " I always found this to be an interesting portion of scripture...any comments?
  15. A long time ago His dad came to our church, His family came and shared a meal...Matt was such a little boy then...1984/85 maybe...I forget but I know it was before my husband came to Christ which was in 1986... Matt do you remember? We had lunch outside at the picnic table... What I remember about your parents was even though my house was in dire repair; they acted like they were invited into a mansion... To say I "know" Matt would not be acurate as I only knew the impact his parents had on my life the few times they came and ministered at FBT... His Evangelist Dad will always have an honoured place in my heart to the Glory of God... Matt, if you are following in your father's footsteps it will be to the benefit of those who you come in contact with...the Spirit of God that is displayed in your parents lives is to the praise of our God who placed Him within them... I am thankful :)
