  1. For some reason, while browsing my old emails, I stumbled to this site. I recover my password and here I am now. I got busy on Facebook and Twitter. I do not know if online forum is still relevant today because of FB groups but I was not able to find a good Baptist groups in FB and God led me here again.

I hope everyone is doing great.

    Praise God for His faithfulness.

  2. Thank you all brothers and sisters!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for God's comfort and mercy to us sinners. I am always thankful for my salvation!

Again, hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving celebration.

The moderator can now close this thread and thanks for all your prayers and encouragement during my papa's battle of diabetes.

    Thank you Brothers and sisters!

Mods, please close this thread now. God bless. :)

  3. My papa died yesterday afternoon due to complications of diabetes. God has been very merciful because even up to the last minute of his life, God sent missionaries in the hospital to be able to share the gospel to him. I am not sure if he could still hear it but the whole family was very comforted. Some bible students and one of our Pastors was also present during his passing which makes things a little bit easy for us to accept. His heart stop while he was sleeping, not much physical struggle. Praise the Lord!

Thank you all for your prayers. God bless you.

  5. Requesting prayers for my father again who is in the hospital right now. Unconscious since this afternoon. Having a hard time breathing, not urinating anymore, kidney failure maybe. May God have mercy on him and will save him and grant him eternal life. Still alive, but we do not have much hope on his physical condition. Prayers for comfort needed. Thank you.

  6. Question:

As some of you know, my father is in a critical condition right now because of diabetes. Me, my sister, Pastors and Bible students in our church shared to him the gospel many times in the hospital. In some of the questions about salvation, faith, repentance, he just answered a short reply of 'yes'. There was one time, I heard him said that Christ is his hope.

My question is: Can we know if he is truly saved though he cannot show it anymore bec he is in his death bed? Can we know if he truly accept and believe in Christ if his profession of faith is not the same like us healthy people? Most of his answer is just plain and short "yes". Any thoughts on this?

His hearing and  thoughts most of the time are still very clear and sharp. Though sometimes he sound confused and out of his mind bec of the medicines that he is taking but most of the time, his thoughts and hearings are okay. Please continue to pray for him.

    Thank you.

  7. It is really hard when it is our parents. My father is in the hospital too, very weak and it is hard to think that he could die and leave us any moment. The posts here are very encouraging. God makes no mistakes and His way is perfect. May God comfort us all during these trying times. God bless everyone and let us pray for one another.

  8. My father was taken to the hospital last Saturday and very weak since Saturday, Sunday and Monday. He cannot speak or eat. He only open his eyes and then sleep again. He is very pale. A sister from church and one of our young Pastor visited him in the hospital and shared again the gospel to him, even though he is not responding, I know that he can hear.  This morning, I am so happy that my sister send me a message through FB that my papa is now talking and eating. He is scheduled again for amputation of his legs and will be needing bags of blood as he is anemic too.

I am just so happy that he is alert now. God really answers our prayers and I give the Glory to Him.

There are lots of sick and dying people in our hospital ward, mostly due to diabetes, please include them in your prayers too.

    Praise the Lord! :)

  9. Hi Luanne,

We are using bactrigas, betadine, sulfadiazine. Betadine is everyday and the others would depend on its availability. A christian doctor visited him at home yesterday and will prescribed me some antibiotics and Prontosan. :). My dad is not looking good yesterday, swelling in body, arms and legs but thank God for extending his life everyday. I ask him again of his salvation and he said that he is not sure if he is going to heaven I ask him why and he didn't answer. He gets tired and iritated if we ask him a lot of questions. I do not believe his last answer yesterday because I know he gets confused these days. Sometimes he does not know where he is, sometimes he does not recognize his grand children, sometimes he thinks that he has money in his pocket and somebody stole it. :-). He is really in a different state of mind these days. I have heard him in the hospital confessed with his mouth that Jesus is his Lord and Savior. Only God knows what is in his heart.

Thank you all for your prayers.

OUT OF TOPIC: I do not know why everytime I log out and log in again, OB does not recognize my password. This is now the nth time that I am resetting my password.

  10. Hello all! Before I tell you all about me, I suppose I should take the time to actually explain why I'm here.

Over at Glenn Beck's The Blaze website, I have an account (going by the same moniker). Yesterday, another member called TheSword and I got into a little debate pertaining to evolution and the age of the earth and this debate continued on until today. At the end, TheSword was kind enough to invite me to this forum presumedly to become a little more active in religious-based conversations as he/she (rightly) felt this would be a more appropriate venue for that sort of discussion.

About me: I was raised as a fundamentalist Southern Baptist from birth, seeing as my family has always been quite active in the church. Nothing negative has ever happened to me in church or my family and I love both groups of people for raising me the way they did, but in around February of 2013, after a couple of months of skeptical inquiry, I came to the conclusion that I lacked a belief in any gods. I won't go into the exact detailed reasons I rejected my god belief (I'm sure that'll come later in dedicated threads), but I will say it's something I'm fairly quiet about in my personal life. As far as I know, my family is unaware and only a handful of my friends have I felt comfortable enough to let know. I still live with my parents (I'm pretty young, but I won't give an exact date in the interest of privacy) so I guess you could say I'm waiting until I'm out of their presence to come out and admit I no longer believe in any gods.

Anyways, that's me! Nothing much special, just a curious guy who likes to have conversations with people so I can understand what they believe and why. I hope to get to know all of you and I hope my presence doesn't serve as a source of discomfort considering I am, in most senses of the word, an outsider.

    Good day all :)

    Welcome to the Forum. :)
Believe in God, the salvation in Jesus alone and you'll never regret it.
Jesus is the bread of life, the living water, the rock, and only Him can give us satisfaction in life.

  11. Please pray for my dad Terry Stewart as he got knocked down by a door at a business place and broke his hip and they are doing emergency surgery tomm.  This is very upsetting as the man that hit him with the door didnt even stop!??

How's your dad now? Will be praying for him. It is really heartbreaking when parents suffer. Have faith.

  12. It seems that every time I logout and then login again, this forum does not recognize my password. So I keep changing my password every time I want to login.

I hope the technical support can help me.

    Thank you.

  13. Hi All,

Thank you for your prayers. I am requesting you again for prayers, hope you will not get tired of me. :)

My papa is not feeling well. His wounds in his feet is not healing and there are small wounds coming out. 3/4 of his sole has wounds already and the surgery from the removal of his two toes has not been healing. His arms and face are swelling for a week now. His wounds are very smelly. He does not want to be taken to the hospital anymore. We just placed bactrigas on his feet and the ointment that the doctor prescribed shows no relief. He is taking the following medicines:

    sultamicillin
    Vitamin B complex
    silversulfadiazine
    ketoanalogue
    lactolus
    amlodipine
    clonidine
    linogliptin

Can anyone recommend a good way to dress a wound. It seems that there is no improvement on his wounds.

Please pray for his salvation. I believe that this is God's will that God prolonged his life even in agony just for him to know the gospel. I visit him every Sunday afternoon, please pray for wisdom that I can share the gospel to him in a way that he will understand. I ask him if he believes in Jesus and have repented of his sins. He said yes. It is up to the Lord now and I believe in God's mercy. Salvation is of the Lord!

Thank you all for your prayers. God bless you.
