Invicta got a reaction from Bouncing Bill in Are many churches, including the Baptist church, Roman Catholic in disguise?
You don't provide any evidence that any baptists use obelisks on their grave, or for any other of your allegations.
Also, Have you ever been to St Paul's Cathedral in London?

Invicta got a reaction from Martyr_4_FutureJoy in Religious groups get $2,050 to settle each immigrant and sign waiver to NOT witness to them
Probably their witnessing would do the immigrants no good. If Catholics, for instance testified to them, they would probly be farther from the truth. (Testify is the word you should use, not witneess, as that is something that happens to you.)0

Rahab, the Harlot was the mother of Boaz. She was a Gentile. I have no doubt she was saved, and possibly her family.
Ruth the Moabitess was a Gentile and the wife of Boaz. I have no doubt she was saved. Were they saved by keeping the law or by looking forward to Christ, their Saviour.

I have never used FB very much and apart from Scrabble which I can make a move when I want, after several days without sitting down at a table till the game is over, I don't often visit.
PS the Scrabble is worldwide, except for US and Canada, I am not sure why, I suppose different publishers have the rights for the different areas. -

Invicta got a reaction from Martyr_4_FutureJoy in Billy Graham
Over tenty years ago, we went to a Baptist Church in Ashford. While we were there Billy Graham came to England. Our church was the only one in the town who did not join in to support Graham.

There are no more signs today than there have been in previous years such as during the days of Hitler.

Here in England meat is expensive, but most vegetables are reasonable. There is much competition in the stores so it keeps the prices down. One of our TV chefs, Jamie Oliver, visited a farm and they said they had to discard about half their crop because they didn't meet supermarket rules carrots and parsnips were either too big or too small or not strait enough. Jamie persuaded one supermarket chain to allow him to expetiment by having a section for "wonky produce" which he sold cheaper. It was a hit and a number of stores do wonky vegetables at a cheaper price. One labels them as "perfectly imperfect"
I had scampi and chips for lunch and ham omelet and asparagus for supper.
Now we are older we don't eat so much so that makes our pensions go further.

We are still in lockdown so we have not been able to meet with anyone except my daughter and some of her family who live at the same address. We have been able to have one service at church and from the 21st march we will be able to have an evening service as well. That is my birthday. We will have to spray the chairs between each service. 2 weeks ago my grandaughter and the husband returned from Nice in France and twas hey have to be self isolating in the back annexe, 1t was her 21st birthday last week so my daughter went to thw chippie and got some takeaway chips while her husband cooked some steaks. No restaurants are are to open as yet. Today I did spaghegti bolonaise.

Tomorrow is our church potluck day (we do it every first Sunday). Mom made spaghetti, and white cake/lemon icing for dessert. I made a beef stroghanoff gravy and rice, and a green salad. Others will be bringing different things (I know sloppy joes are coming, too). So tonight I tried out the rice and gravy. Yum!

Invicta got a reaction from SureWord in Were gentiles ever commanded to observe the Sabbath ?
On the seventh day God rested.
The Sabbath was not one of the things laid on Gentile believers at the Jerusalem council, led by James.

Thanks for the concern. As of this morning, when she was on just room air for about 10 minutes using the restroom, she came back and checked her oxygen and was at about 89%, so getting better slowly. I suspect that even as she gets normal she will be staying on oxygen at night, probably just a low volume, for a while to come, just to keep things strengthened.

Thank you for the update Mike, I will surely be in prayer about her and your health problems. Not being able to breath properly is extremely stressful.
I hope the docs don't list it as Covid19 because of the respiratory and coughing she is experiencing. If I may be of any help just let me know, after all we are just a few hours away.

I still have half of my pizza dough in the fridge so we will probably have pizza again for one meal.
We can't have get togethers as we are in Lockdown. We are only supposed to have those who we live with in the house. We are not supposed to have family members visiting. Our neighbours have ignored that over the weekend as they have had large family barbecues for the last three days,
Every church and place of worship is closed, the first time that has happened for 600 years, when King John had a fall out with the pope. The Archbishop of Canterbury did a sermon on line from his kitchen. I didn't listen to it, but I don't suppose it was very inspiring.
