The Church that operates on freewill offerings only operates on greater faith than those that teach a mandatory tithe.

Look, for pastors to be dogmatic about tithing is wrong. I agree with that. But you are absolutely venomous towards anyone that even uses the term tithe. I don't see the need to cut a brothers heart out simply because he likes the idea of using a tenth part of his increase as a standard by which he starts his giving to God. That's between him and God. I'd rather be in his fellowship than with someone dripping venom waiting to strike.

Show me the verse that specifically states Gentiles, or Christians for that matter, are not to tithe. Show me where that is a command of God which you just stated: "The Bible says the Gentiles were not to tithe."

I've never stated in any of my posts that Christians were to tithe...ever. But I sure don't get all bent out of shape just because some brother happens to call his offering a tithe. But then again, referring to your O.P. I am OBviously just not as faithful...

It would not surprise that if in your Bible Roman 10:13 actually said:
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord and never speak positively of tithing shall be saved".
I mean let's face it, anyone who insists on referring to their offering as a tithe must have an especially hot place in hell reserved just for them.

Congratulations! Don't know if you'll remember me; I used to frequent here about three years ago. I came back to check on someone and found a friend of mine, Ted Snyder on here. He's a good man. Thought I'd look around some and found you again. We just had a daughter too, on April 8, 2011. Sarah Grace came in @ 10:23 AM. 20" long and 7 lbs. 6 oz. She is a true blessing. Congratulations again and God Bless.

I was wondering if anyone here believes that the KJB is the pure words of God? Ps 12:6

I do Ted, but that is one of the reasons I go to Old Paths. Been a long time since I've been on this forum...wasn't good for my stress life. Came back to check on someone and lookie what I found. God bless, brother! I pray for you often and always miss marching next to you in the Memorial Day Parade.
