  1. I pray if you clicked on this link you read these hymns and consider prayerfully the words. They are such a blessing.

    Cleanse Me
    1.Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
    Try me O Saviour, know my thoughts I pray:
    See if there be some wicked way in me:
    Cleanse me from ev'ry sin, and set me free.

    2. I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin:
    Fulfil Thy Word, and make me pure within;
    Fill me with fire, where one I burned with shame:
    Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.

    3. Lord, take my life, and make it wholly Thine:
    Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine;
    Take all my will, my passion, self, and pride;
    I now surrender: Lord, in me abide.

    4. O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee:
    Send revival--start the work in me:
    Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need:
    For blessing now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

    When I Survey the Wondrous Cross

    1. When I survey the wondrous cross, in which the Prince of glory died,
    My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride.

    2. Forbid it, Lord! that I should boast, save in the death of Christ my God:
    All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.

    3. See, from His head, His`hands, His feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down:
    Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown?

    4. Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a present far too small;
    Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.

    Tell me people, do we really need new songs to sing when such heart wrenching words were penned by men of God?

  2. [bible]1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
    2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
    3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
    4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
    5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
    6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
    7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
    8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
    9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
    10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
    11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
    12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power

  3. Ok, I have one basic reason I claim the KJV as the proper Bible to be used in English. It is the only one without contradictions! Now, whether the Geneva and Tyndale Bibles are like that I do not know. But all the MV's are full of contradictions. Yes, they can be used to win people to Christ, but so can a paraphrase of John 3:16. Why stop using the Bible that was used by Billy Sunday, Dwight Moody, Charles Spurgeon, George Whitfield, etc..?

  4. I am sure by now you already know this but just in case there are others interested I wanted to add to the post. Connections Academy is a great! It is free and a "public school" you can do from home and correspond with the teachers. It was originally a christian school and they haven't changed their curriculum so students learn from a Christian perspective.

    I'm not sure we are talking about the same school. The connections academy I was talking about is rather secular. They have evolutionist teaching and many ungodly things in the curriculum.
  5. By G.J.O. Moshay

    Having recently come in touch with a Muslim I decided to educate myself a bit on the subject of Islam. I found this book very insightful. It is written to Muslim readers mostly so it is sightly difficult to read at times. It shows very well the errors of the Qur'an. Anyone else read this?

  6. Yes. I have to say... Sadly.. If you don't believe in dinosaurs... You have issues. :uuhm: The problem for christians isn't the dinosaurs anymore, it is explaining away all the evolutionists "proof" of when dinosaurs lived. (The dating methods, geologic column, etc.)

    As for the second... Well... I would really like to believe there are aliens... I'm a huge nerd... But I don't think so. Atleast not with souls. Like trc said, i'm not going to put God in a box. As for animals, bacteria or something on other planets, it is completely possible. I'd have to say that most hard evidence for "little green men" usually turns out to be demonic activity.

  7. Lets examine my post real quick shall we..? Because I feel i'm being quite misunderstood.

    Webster's 1828 dictionary defines a right as:

    "That which justly belongs to one."

    A privilege as:

    "A particular and peculiar benefit or advantage enjoyed by a person, company or society, beyond the common advantages of other citizens."

    These definitions are faulty even, but the point is, there is a HUGE difference between a RIGHT and a PRIVILEGE. A right is something you are born with. A privilege is permission given you by a higher authority to do something. (My beliefs stop here.) Our Country was founded upon the fact that we are endowed by our CREATOR (The KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS) with certain inalienable rights. Our constitution doesn't grant us these, GOD does. So if (Notice the IF) you believe this... Why do we put up with the government usurping God's position? We have a RIGHT to bear arms. We don't need PERMISSION from the government to have them. That means we don't need a permit. What..? Yes, that is a right that we supposedly (Supposedly is an important word here) believe GOD gave us. How about drivers licenses? Do we not have a right to travel? If you OWN the car (100% ownership) then why do you have to register it? Or have a license to use it? How about marriage? When did the government get the AUTHORITY to marry people? Why do you need a marriage license if marriage is a GOD GIVEN right? The fact is folks... Either you believe God gave you certain rights or not. Government is not set up to be obeyed blindly("or so our founding fathers say"), it is set up to PROTECT our rights. It's righteousness and authority is gone once it no longer protects God given rights. Or so our founding fathers say. So who is right? (The intention of the entire post.)

    So, who is right? God. His word tells us many things about this. I've been taking a crash course in politics and the Bible lately. God has opened my mind a bit. And I feel maybe our American conception of government is not God's. I recently blogged about this. :lol (Forgive me if any of my posts sound rude, I get quite... Zealous. :lol: )

  8. Yes, I know you weren't speaking from Scripture. That, I think, is a mistake on your part. You are claiming some kind of "higher authority" than government--"rights" which you claim are given to us by God, and which you claim are being denied us by our government. If you are claiming that certain "rights" come from God, then don't you think you'd better show that from Scripture? People can say anything they want...They can say that all humans have the "right" to "the pursuit of happiness;" therefore, they have the "right" to do with their own bodies what they see fit (abortion), and the "right" to free public education, and the "right" to use mind-altering drugs recreationally--After all, they're just "pursuing happiness." See what I mean? You need to first back up your claim that humans do indeed have certain God-given rights, and then define what those are. Otherwise, your arguments fall flat, since you cannot show that there really is a higher authority than government giving us the "rights" to do the things you have mentioned. If you are arguing from a Constitutional basis, then don't bring "God-given" rights into the picture.

    Again, I wasnt quite claiming it is my belief. I want to see how many people will call our founding fathers liars. This is what they believed.

  9. It is our Christian DUTY to obey the laws of the land. God does not want his people to be considered "outlaws" of the government.

    Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
    Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
    Luke 20:25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

    Then you obviously must think the founding fathers where wrong. They were outlaws and the whole nation was founded against God's will. Hmmmm...... :saint

  11. I'm sorry... But I can not believe the story above is anything more then government P.R. trash. Our president is a very sick man, his terms have been the most sickening in U.S. history so far. In his terms the Patriot Acts, Homeland Security Act, the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act, and many others have DESTROYED or blessed Constitution. He has been granted insane powers. He has called the Constitution a "*** **** piece of paper". People call this man a Christian?! No, he is not a Christian, he has been incredibly used by Satan to destroy our freedoms. Don't believe me..?

  12. When does God recognize a marriage? Is it when the vows are taken? When the government recognizes it? Must it be done by a minister? Does God care about all the ceremony and tradition? I would like solid Bible answers on this. If you don't have verses don't bother. When does God recognize a marriage as official? What circumstances must it be under?
