  1. I started selling links on many of my sites, and apparently Google doesn't like that so I have a zero page rank on ,ost of them. But I still get plenty of traffic fromm Google and other search engines, which leads me to believe that the pagerank is more of a myth at this point. There've always been lots of black hats trying to exploit Google, so they basically play games with them trying to confuse those who want to manipulate the search engine placement.

The bets method is links to your site from site with valid content.
    Thank you Danny!! :lol
  2. Marine Corps boot camp was something out of the very dankest pits of He**. They would run us past the phone booths and let us watch the other platoons make a quick call home.

I wasn't as fortunate as Joshua. Bless his heart I will pray.

Not to chase rabbits, but I still remember who my drill instructors were and its been 14 years now. Boot camp really left that much of an impression.

  3. I don't blame you I wish businesses felt the way that we do (about working on Sundays). :sad

I will say this much when Pastor left the pulpit tonight it was absolutely smoking. He was on fire.

We also had a teen commit to full time Christian service.

If that don't make ya feel good you better toddy over to the mortuary cause yer deader than you think you is!

  4. No more snow please!!

Can't wait for summertime to come. Yes the snow is a necessary evil it may even be purty.

But, with the snow comes the cold and I never have liked the cold.

I don't like my post count so I had to post somewhere.

    Blame the post count.

Goodnight people. Someone in Missouri loves ya. :duh

  5. It's important that we realize the TV is only a tool. Guns and autos are also tools. They can be used for evil or good; the choice is ours.
    Excellent point PE.
I chose against, others may not.
My Pastor uses his to watch Andy Griffith on and the Assistant Pastor has one as well and we are an IFB separatist Church.
  6. E Bay or Craigslist?

I told the wife that I was going to E Bay a bunch of junk. She said that it was her understanding that E Bay is getting to expensive to list and sell goods.

Your vote and/or opinion is appreciated!

  7. My mom and dad have been married a long time (must be at least 40 years now). Maw Maw (moms side) graduated awhile back and was married to Granpaw until he graduated (?) passed. They were both from a southern baptist past.

Grandma (since passed) on dads side was married (I believe till Grandpa passed). They were Roman Catholic.

I was raised in a Christian non denominational church as a wee lad up until I left for the Corps. I was backslidden for several years. I came home and got married and my wife and I attended a couple non denom's in the area we lived in at the time. Then we joined an IFB church here in town.

I may not have been Baptist born or Baptist bred but one day I'll be Baptist dead. Glory to God.

  8. Once Shaved....

Setting: A small rural community, so small, in fact, the only church in town is a small Baptist church whose pastor must also double up as the local barber to make ends meet.

There happened to be a man in this small community who had invested wisely and was enjoying his newfound comfort. This man got out of bed one day to go through his daily routine. He looked into the mirror as he was about to shave and decided, "I make enough money now, I don't have to shave myself. I'll go down to the barber and let him shave me from now on." So he did.

He walked into the barber shop and found the preacher/barber was out calling on the shut-ins. His wife, Grace, said "Iusually do the shaves anyway ... sit down and I'll shave you."

So he did. She shaved him and he asked, "How much do I owe you?"

"$25," Grace replied. The man thought that was somewhat expensive and that he may have to get a shave every other day. Nonetheless, he paid Grace and went on his way.

The next day, he woke up and found his face to be just as smooth as the day before. No need for a shave today, he thought, well, it was a $25 shave.

The next day he awoke to find his face as smooth as a baby's bottom. Wow! he thought. That's amazing, as he normally would need to shave daily to keep his clean-shaven business look.

Day 3, he woke up and his face was still as smooth as the minute after Grace had finished. Now, somewhat perplexed, the man went down to the barber shop to ask some questions.

This particular day the pastor was in and the man asked him why his face was as smooth as it was the first day it was shaven.

The kind old pastor gently retorted, "Friend, you were shaved by Grace ... and once shaved, always shaved."

  9. Regarding the things we do know:

The Bible says we are going to "rule and reign" with Jesus during the Millennium. That means there has to be something or someone to rule over. I believe we will be Jesus' Gov't officials. He will be King over all but we will be His helpers (mayors, governors, etc.) all over the world. Want to work in a Gov't office someday? :Green At that time, it will be the perfect job whether you are the governor or an office secretary.

Also, because we will have glorified bodies like Christ's resurrected body, we will be able to go through objects and appear places at will.

Isaiah 66 indicates that there will be regular worship in the temple at Jerusalem. I can't find it right now but there is a verse that says something like Gentiles will take a Jewish person by the arm and want to go with them to the temple.

I think some people think that life with God will be boring and all we will be doing is standing around and singing all the time. #1, our hearts will be different then. #2, look around at all the variety and interest God put into Creation. He is anything but boring! We will be active and fulfilled in our eternal life.

Regarding what I don't know... I would like to visit other other places in the universe that God created. I would like it if there was some kind of virtual reality experience where we could actually see stories from the Bible and history. Katie, your colorful music idea sounds fascinating. God only knows what is in store for us and He is very creative!.:clap::clap:
    That would be GNARLY!!!!
Could you imagine being there when Jesus fed the multitude?
Could you imagine being there as he taught in the synagogue, being just a kid Himself. WOW WOW WOW!!!
    :clap::clap: :clap:
