autumn and spring because there are no temperature extremes.

We just found out that the ladies dorm supervisor has cancer. Please be in prayer for her and her family.

~ that God would have His way with this cancer, and heal it if it is His will
~ that God will draw Mrs. Leslie and her family closer to the Lord through this

The Leslies have 4 children. Their oldest daughter is teaching school in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She teaches the children of missionaries learning Spanish before they go to their field. Their next daughter and their son are both in college. Their youngest daughter is 16 and has downs syndrome (BTW - the youngest daughter just got saved a few months ago after years of praying that she would be saved when she understood! Amen). Mr. Leslie is in charge of maintenance and the grounds - and he does an excellent job!

Suzy, Trish and Jennifer (5dmplngs), would you consider sending her a card or letter? I thought it would be neat if we could inundate her with cards and/or letters from ladies who were in the dorm during the years she's been there. Would you pass the word on to other ladies you know were there and ask them to pray and drop her a line? Thanks!

Everything is show of hands in our church. When voting on deacons, they all go out of the auditorium.

One daughter would rather be doing what she wants to do right now and she is short-cutting her school work.

Result? She doesn't get to do at all to day what it is she wants to do. That is much more effective in this case than a spanking would be. She gets the point faster, and the spanking would end up requiring "wait until your dad gets home" reasoning because she would escalate.

I chose other because not every offense is a spanking offense. Some things are worth a lecture; some are worth chores, etc.

The punishment needs to fit the crime.

revival is, I think, a shaking down to the core of who you are. God gets a hold of your heart and shows you where you need major/minor changes. You give over and follow after him. Your family begins to follow your lead because revival ought to be contagious.

You begin to increase your faith among the brethren at church and they, encouraged by your testimony begin to crave what you have.

I say our church needs revival, but honestly? revival starts with and my house.

I use several different ebay sellers as long as the feedback is good. The thing is, I always place my bid so that even with shipping charges, I pay less than I would buying direct. I save about $400 that way. If you end up paying $11 for a used book that costs $12 new, it's not that great of a deal.
