so i found out today I am + for c*vid. Too far in to it to be allowed to get an antiviral (imagine that), so I'll just keep using what I have here. That means my mom is + as well. She's too old for this! Four of our other members are +, with one other already being over it.
Asher's fever broke but it came back on him tonight. Not as high, but still - his parents are exhausted (and Josh is still fighting the sickness).
I also have another infection which is bacterial, so at least I got an antibiotic. Ugh, we're feeling punk!

I'm still getting over the flu. Mostly coughing fits now. The school I work at both staff and kids are dropping like flys with COVID, flu and Strep throat. We are always short-handed. I still haven't caught COVID again since I had that bad case of it back in 2021 but my quadruple vaxxed half sister has had it a few times now.

Our church has seen an uptick in Covid as well. To make it worse, my wife's place of employment has also seen an uptick. We use D3, vitamins C, E, and Elderberry. We're praying for everyone this year. We lost a cousin last month where Covid-19 was a contributing factor. With my severe asthma and restrictive lung disease, I can't afford another go around with it. The last one came close to killing me.

I'm with you sister. My wife started working at our church's Christian Academy as the Pre-4K teacher in August and my youngest daughter started 7th grade there (We homeschooled prior to this). Almost immediately the sickness started for both of them and has not ever really gone away. Because of my respiratory issues I am diligent with the D3 and Vitamin C so I was able stay surprisingly well until last Thursday. Been coughing up a lung since. It's not just us either and it's across all age groups. I don't know that I recall a year where there was so much sickness for so long.

So a gentleman came to church last  Wednesday while still sick with C*vid. Saturday my son got sick and still is. By Monday another man in the church tested + for it (I don't know if that's what Josh has). Monday night I got sick, Tuesday my mom did, now Asher has a fever, and another man in the church is getting sick.
Tonight my husband is at church alone. Because too many people are sick.
    Please pray for us.

Those names sound so familiar, but, I don't know why.
We're praying for all involved with the passing of this servant of the Lord.

Praying for the family. I was saddened when I heard this news.
I forgot that Dan Armacost married a Rinehart. I heard the Armacost's were going to Mynmar, do you know who they'll be working with there? I saw him a couple summers ago, but that was before he announced him leaving for the mission field

Those that are truly saved in this dispensation have already made their choice between the devil and the Lord. The seven years is for God to finish His plans with the nation of Israel (see Daniel 9:24-27), and to try (ie. test/prove) the rest of the world to see which they will choose: the antichrist and his one-world system or the Lord Jesus Christ.
    Revelation 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Please pray for the Rinehart family. Mr. M. Rinehart went to be with the Lord today. It was not unexpected, but there is still grief.
The three Rinehart children (now grown and with grown children of their own) attended college in IN and that is how we met them. The daughter, Jennifer, married one of my former students, Dan Armacost, who became dean of the college. Last spring Dan and Jennifer  went into full time deputation for the field of Myanmar. It looks like they will be heading to Myanmar this spring!
Please lift the family in prayer as they walk this new path.

Their nasty religion reminds me of this.....
Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
A woman covering herself is good in and of itself. But I want no part of conforming to any facet of any dead religion which practices, sanctions and celebrates the things Islam does.

I agree that the clothing is not the problem, but it is an outgrowth of the problem: totalitarian humanism draped in pseudo-religion and "holiness."  There is such oppression and ungodliness in the societies where women are mandated by law to wear this type of clothing (actually, the women in the photo are underdressed for some of the societies...).
Clothing is always a result of a society's relationship, or lack thereof, with the God of Heaven.
God says that my hair is my covering - hence, I do not need scarves to cover my head for modesty (not saying someone who wears a scarf is wrong, just saying that to claim it is more modest is stepping beyond what God says). The problem with these ladies' head coverings is that they are rooted in a religion of works. There is no modesty or holiness truly associated with them.

Nah. We rent, so the parking lot belongs to the landlord. So we can't designate anything permanently. Hubs never even parks near the building. He prefers leaving the few spots for those who cannot walk far. I don't think there's anything wrong with designating, if the church so desires.
