  1. To be or not to be, that is the question.
  2. well, what should we do now? I was born into this country, The United States of America. What, should I pay homage to the queen of Enland now? Will that get me right with God again? Will I go to HELL because I continue to follow the laws of this land that I live, even though this country was, as you put it, established against God's will?
  3. My slumber disturbed by that wretched sound, The attack of my alarm clock present, abound. The morning battle had started once more, That sworn enemy of mine started to roar. This war of wits, I am going to lose, Ah, a solution, Operation Big Snooze. Nothing between me and the bed, Except my soft pillow where I rest my head. All is right, once again, with me and the world, No great revelation, no secrets unfurled. I slip back into slumber, so quickly, amen, Then the battle cry of the alarm haunts me again. You wicked enemy, you disturb me once more, Why must you continue waging this war? Violent thoughts have entered my mind, Oh, how they are vicious, cruel, and unkind. Perhaps I shall smash you, throw you to the wall, Just maybe I won't bother to set you at all. How's that for a plan? Seems brilliant to me, Yes, tomorrow, my nemesis, you shall see. An ally, the sun, conspires it seems, It shines on my face, those dreaded sunbeams. You've won the battle, but the war rages on, Out of bed I jump to face the new dawn.
  4. Isa 14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. The orchestral tunings of the forest, Ringing resonantly across the sea. Fireflies light the blackening sky, Graceful lady bugs preparing to dance. The fish gather near the shore, Tails splashing as tambourines. Violins and cellos are the crickets chirp. Spiders strumming their webs like harps. The brass ensemble is ready to march, Frogs and ducks standing side by side, Hummingbird wings flutter like cymbals, Rattlers shake their tails like maracas. Elephants sounding the trumpets, Mockingbirds sing a joyful noise, Rising above the applauding trees, The mountains shouting praises to God. Isa 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
  5. Oh LORD, My sin is a boulder, So heavy to bear upon my heart. Please make it as a pebble, To cast away in the sea. Oh LORD, the pebble is in my hand, Yet, I hold on to it so tight. Please change it to sand, And put this sin under my feet. Oh Lord, I can't get out of the sand, I am blinded by the pleasures I feel. Please change this sand to glass, Show me what is on the other side. Oh Lord, I don't understand, There is light through the glass. "Look closer, dear child, it's only a mirror; The light that's upon you is a reflection of ME."
  6. Oh, Lord, bring thy strength, Help me, for I am weak and tired; All praise and honor to thy glory, May you keep me eternally inspired. I rejoice in your eternal love, I pray for your everlasting grace; Take the world from my shoulders, Pour thy sweet spirit upon my face. May you, Holy Father, be my armor And your Son

  9. The air was filled with the aroma of grass, While I gazed upon the vast prairie lands, A snowy white dove soared across the wild blue yonder, And beside me rested a wise little robin. The wind carried a sound of rushing water, I looked to find from whence it came. Eagerly, I walked towards the soothing sound, With the company of that wise little robin. As I traveled down that long and winding path, I stopped to rest and gather my strength. My pockets empty, my mind jumbled with thoughts, Perched upon my shoulder, that wise little robin. I felt comfort and joy as I gazed into its eyes. A peace like no other, a quiet so divine. My fears and sorrows taken from my heart, Carried upon the wings of that wise little robin. My mind renewed, my spirit rejoiced, I continued onward in my unknown destination. The sound of the moving water grew louder, As I followed that wise little robin. Alas, my journey had come to an end, The raging waters stopped when I approached. I gathered the water into my hands to quench my thirst, And soaring above me was that wise little robin. As it flew away, tears rolled down my cheeks, Into the water I jumped and sank below, Brought back to safety by that snowy white dove, The friend and master of that wise little robin. Dedicated to my dear friend whose wisdom got me to look to Jesus
  10. I wrote this when I first got saved. Innocent and sweet. Running around, In bare little feet. I basked in the sun, I played in the rain, Lived for the day, Life was simple and plain. And then came my teens, And it was like fall, What was once big to me, Became very small. I fell from His Grace, Like the leaves from a tree, Never seeing the trouble, That was waiting for me. The years went by, Like a bad winter storm. HE graced me with blankets, He kept my heart warm. I still never looked, I refused to see, My LORD and SAVIOUR, In front of me. And then I saw HIM! HE made my heart sing! He gave new life, Just like it was spring. Whenever the fall, Or winter sets in, I hold HIM real close, To see summer again! As a young child it was like summer,

  12. I have a great message from a bible believing independant baptist preacher. It is an awesome message and i would love to share it. Can I post it to this site?
  13. thanks. This poem is truly about me. I have been saved for a year and a half now, but I have been out of fellowship. This poem is about my coming back into the sheepfold. The great thing about it all is that the LORD let me fall to teach me something that I really needed to understand. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way. It is great to have a place like this. I usually post on another forum, but the opposition is hard to deal with sometimes, and, I get to wanting to "prove" I am right so much that I put my pride in front of God, which, was the start of my downfall. The LORD has blessed me with a lesson well learned. AMEN
  14. Weary and torn, my body and soul. A lifetime ago, my heart spoke with zeal, But the pain and sorrow had taken its toll. Trapped in darkness because of my sin, Chained to my past, bound to my pride, I placed my hands on my head in shame, And trembled in fear as I fell down and cried. "Completely helpless, in spirit am I, Impinge on me your rod, my Lord. Thorns and thistles, they cover my heart, Sever the roots with your almighty sword." "Child, weep not, for your heart is pure, Listen! The angels in heaven rejoice. Humbled you are, strong you shall be, Tender in heart with wisdom of choice." Faded and worn my passion became,
