  1. War does not give one a license to sin. The Jews were directly ordered by God to be the instruments of His punishment upon those certain tribes in the Promised Land. God had judged these tribes and found them guilty with the punishment due being death. God ordered the Jews to carry out this sentence. This was not war in man-made sense, it was the judgement of God upon a specific group of people.

Scripture has been posted which makes it very clear that to lie or steal, at any time, is sin.

God calls us to a very high standard; actually the ultimate high standard. We are commanded to be holy, for He is holy. From the time we accept Jesus as our Saviour and Lord until our departure from this life we are to be pursuing holiness; growing in Christlikeness.

Christ says if ye love me, keep my commandments. Among those commandments we are told not to lie or steal. There are to exceptions laid out granting us loop holes.

We play with dangerous fire when we try to justify sin.

This reminds me of someone, can't remember where or who, who wondered if does it make God a murderer if he take loved ones so soon. Actually, I believe he was trying to point out that if God is a hypocrite, or at least how the bible is.
I do know one thing, God bring life, and he take life.
  2. It mentioned Hugh Hefner and I can't help thinking about the article I recently read about what he said about Kate (the mother of 8 children). He said that she was not good enough for playboy, but her ex-husband is good enough for playgirl. I thought he just as pig as any men like him. I think his real prOBlem is that he doesn't find mother figures as beautiful, and usually that type of attitude is the reason why many men get bored with their wives and cheat on them. It's sad how people devalue women like that, and yet guys don't get the same treatment. Well, I'm giving him the same treatment right now.

  3. Because we live in a sinful world, it is not easy. Like a abusive man is about to hurt your child, it is hard to not be tempt to lie where she is.

Does it make it right? No, but I do everything I can to avoid the situation though. One day, we wouldn't live in a sinful world where there's no fear that cause us to lie and steal in the first place.

  4. Mystery Man?
(Hope this is the right category)

Rev 19:10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Who do you think this brother is? We see Him as an authority figure in Heaven, but he remains unnamed. Any suggestions?

It could be anyone. Rev. is a mystery so we won't know the whole picture until the time come. But I do know that he is not to be worshipped so there's no need to know who it is for the time being.

At first, I thought it might be John. But I figured it is an angel.
  5. I find that most dogs are mean to children. We used to have a pekinese, and she would bite my baby brother alot.... bit him really hard til he bled. Children really need to make sure they treat dogs well (no tail pulling or anything), and dogs don't really bond well with babies and toddlers anyway. For one thing, babies and toddlers smell different to them. Most of all, some owners don't train their dog around children very well.

  6. No disagreement with that.

Some people do have the rights to be bitter and emotional. But what they do with it is what's scary. in those cases, they need help. IF they want to help other people, they need to take care their own emotional needs first in order for them to make themselves clear to others and think things through rationally.

  7. I'm just waiting for American English to get rid of letters we don't say in many words, such as "through." Why not go ahead and spell it "thru"? Now, you would have to keep some "unnecessary" to know how to pronounce certain words - English is very inconsistent in pronouncing combinations of some letters, and every homeschool mom who taught phonics knows what those words are.

Many Janette Oke's books spelled words exactly how people prounounce it. I have to admit that it is very hard to read.

  8. Wouldn't it be nice if all those people who love tattoos was allergic to them?

    I wonder if they do.

btw, when I mentioned writing, I wanted make sure none of you think I was using a pen or marker. I mean writing with a blunt OBject, or even with my fingernail (not scratch!) It does appear that I did scratch myself, but I didn't. It usually goes away completely within 30 minutes. A real scatch would stay for days. I think this type of hive is called dermographism
  9. I hope your son is doing better. Just a question for you. Can danders trigger hives? I can't find anything about it but everytime our son get around the dog, he break out in hives. It only mentioned food, insects, plants like poison ivy, but nothing about pollens, danders, etc. touching the skin. It just says when it is inhale. I thought maybe you know something since you have been heavily researched on this topic.

btw, just to let you know, I can write on my skin and develop hives that way. Pretty neat.

  10. hehe, I have a dog who licks my face as well. He must think I'm very tasty as a hambone.

anyway, licking on the face, I think it meant to be sexual (mostly to represent oral-- sorry ). but I could be wrong because I have to see the picture.

  11. I have been doing some checking on the 1599 Geneva vs the KJV. I think Im growing fond of the 1599 Geneva with the modern spellings.
I looked up some word changes between both and found these:

    2 Pet. 1:1c

righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ (KJV)

What the story between Geneva when it was first translated (like who interpreted the bible, why, how) vs. When KJV was first translated?

  12. Preacher convicted of killing wife, freezing body

So sad, according to the article, he murdered his wife December 2004 and stuffed her in a freezer and was arrested in 2008.

It seem that most abuse occur in the name of religion. It's sad that religion attract people like them, especially religion that give them more of prophet type of power. I guess it is because they are too fleshy (meaning, they only care about what feels good to them or their body) to know their own sin.
  13. we really should ask the person what they prefer condition to be called because every person is different and it is not one size fit all. Instead of calling them handicap, they rather for people to know what it is. Like me, I am not hearing impaired nor I want to be called hearing impaired. Hearing impaired put me in a box of one size fit all, plus it shows people have very little interests in knowing who I am. I am deaf who grew up in a mainstreamed public school with hearing aids and speechreading as my form of communication. I don't know ASL, and I have cochlear implant. But when you refer to me, don't call me "that deaf girl" Call me by my name, and let me be the one to let people know that I am deaf. If they think I'm rude because I didn't hear them, then that's their prOBlem.

  14. Just a reminder: you really need to put yourself at their level Just like Christ did for us. Walking, talking, hearing, good memory, etc. doesn't make you more advanced than them. Sometimes we put them in that position of feeling handicapped. Think about it, we have stairs for us to accomdate ourselves, but no ramp for them. They can't move around that way.
