  1. Ok, I admit it, sometimes I actually miss university homework.
  2. I'm posting from a desktop and the last post I made in this thread took 18 seconds to post. Posting in a thread outside the fun and games forum has been taking about 4 seconds.
  3. I'm glad these are the types of problems we face here rather than those faced in some countries where it's often matters of life and death. Perhaps you could sell, trade or give them to someone who is going to shop there anyway. As you said, you didn't pay for them and Target already has the money.
  4. I receive Cloud's emails so I didn't notice they weren't showing up here until someone else mentioned it.
  5. For some reason, when posting in the fun and games thread, it takes at least 10-15 seconds or more before it posts after clicking on submit reply. Does it do this when you are posting here? I sometimes have lag when posting in other forums but not near as long as in this one.
  6. Exodus 16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
  7. Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.
  8. When has America had a president who was the "enemy of dictators"? America has a long history of dealing with, working with, allying with dictators. America's Founders advocated for trade with everyone, regardless of government, moral support for those seeking freedom but no material or physical support. American presidents have had a policy of attempted containment towards communism rather than outright confrontation. Pre-WWII France had the largest army, considered one of the best armies in the world, what was considered strong defenses against Germany. France also had the backing
  9. Doesn't the meaning of it change from one it to another?
  10. Yesterday we had a good amount of sunshine but today it's supposed to be cloudy all day with a slight chance of a few scattered showers. This might be a good day to get some reading in later.
  11. Exodus 16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.
  12. You certainly weren't the only one. In our early years our TV was on from early in the morning until bed time. My wife liked having it on for the children all day and she liked to be able to sit and watch some throughout the day. Back then I was generally working ten hour days, six days a week, and when I got home I had yard, garden, home and other chores to tend to. With all that going on back then I usually watched a little news, had a couple shows I would try to catch during the week, and not time for any more than that. These days the TV is mostly off, if I don't want the house s
  13. Cloud's current statement regarding repentance from 5/20/16 Friday Church News Notes: PAUL'S DOCTRINE OF REPENTANCE (Friday Church News Notes, May 20, 2016, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - In Acts 26:13-20, the Apostle Paul recounted the ministry that Christ had given to him by revelation. He was sent to the Gentiles "to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God" by exhorting them "that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance" (Acts 26:18, 20). Consider three lessons from this. First,
  14. The news, and weather programs are filled with immodestly dressed women making sure their immodesty is obvious and in between this are commercials for beer, greed, selfishness and more immodestly dressed women (and men too at times). We have a TV which is off far more than on. We get asked why our TV is never on when someone stops by. If we stop at most other homes the TV is a constant, sometimes with two or more TVs on in different rooms. I know some folks who literally never turn their TV off, even the one in their bedroom.
  15. Exodus 16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
