We had a little shower last night, but it did not last very long. Our grass... if that is what you want to call it is brown and crunchy... we have not had to mow grass in months... it is really sad. I am trying to keep my little garden and plants watered, although my water bill will probably be sky high....can't win for loosing :uuhm:

Update...
They did not take the pins out of hubby's finger. They said that they need to stay in 2 more weeks. Please pray that his finger starts the healing process. These Dr. bills really add up quickly. We received the hospital bill the other day. Almost $7,500 just for the surgery alone. Thank goodness for health insurance. We will wait and see how much they pay. -
Yes... I attended FBC in Hammond while I attended HAC. Where we live now there are no "big" IFB churches.

My hubby and I have both been fighting a cold/flu bug this past week.... please pray that we feel better soon. We need to get back to work, and he has his pins removed from his finger Monday.... we just really feel blahhhh right now.... Is there anything that y'all know of that is going around?

Brie and Gouda
:thumbdown I don't like brie..... question do you eat it with the "rind" off or the rind on? I have been told that you can eat it with the white rind on it. Just wondering :smile -
Dear Abby My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job eight years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and B.S. with his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me and hints that I may be a lesbian. What should I do? Signed: Clueless
Dear Clueless, Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman - you don't need him anymore! You're a United States Senator from New York running for President of the United States. Act like one!
This was on someones BLOG..... -

This one is tried and true. It is from a Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook
Oven Beef Stew
1 lb stew beef, cut in cubes.
flour
3/4 tsp salt
dash pepper
1 can Campbells tomato soup
1 soup can water
1/4 to 1/2 tsp dried basil
small onion, diced, optional
cooking oil--1-2 Tbsp
Coat meat with some flour. Put oil in a skillet and brown meat. It all doesn't have to be browned. Put browned meat in a heavy ovenware type of casserole dish, about 3 to 4 quart size.
Add soup, water, onion, salt, pepper, and basil. Cover and bake at 350-375 for 1 hour. Remove from oven and add 2-3 peeled cubed potatoes and a can of drained sliced carrots, or some raw baby carrots. Cover and bake 1 more hour. I have made this for almost 40 years and we aren't tired of it yet.
This recipe is easy to tweak. It serves 2 to 4 people. CJP56
I made this a few weeks ago, and it was sooooo good.... my husband loved it when we had it at CJP56's house....so after getting the recipe from her, I made it..... it will go in my favorite recipe file!!! Yummy -
We always seem to have a full fridge... we usually have leftovers in there, but we also keep lots of drinks in the fridge. Water, soda, OJ, milk.... we are heavy drinkers!!!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA :frog
