  1. I'm not sure if it was a compatibility issue or just that I got a computer with a bad part, but I bought this HP brand new in September, 2008. We got it for the sole purpose of recording HomeSat. We installed WinTV on it for the satellite capture and used Cyberlink (which came with the computer) to make the DVDs. It gave me so many prOBlems the entire school year. It especially slowed way, way down if Cyberlink and WinTV were open at the same time. Eventually HP took it back and replaced a part but it still slows down when Cyberlink is open and I don't even have WinTV on here anymore!

  2. Anyway, John, sorry for going offtopic. If you have a Best Buy in your area, they seem to have the best prices overall. If you are going to get a Windows based PC, go with 7 instead of Vista. I think most computers come with that these days anyway.

What kind of specs does your old computer have? 40 gig hard drive? Maybe less?

The computers today will have at least a 500 gig hard drive and at least 4 gig of RAM so it will be lightning fast compared to what you are used to, and will be able to handle any application you throw at it.

  3. Anyone else take advantage of online shopping? I like it because then I don't have to drag all the kids out from store to store. Of course, when I do get out to a store besides Wal-mart, I wish I had more time to look around.

  4. BECAUSE HE WAS CONSTIPATED??????????????????????????? :wut:

People like that need to be neutered and never allowed near their children again. :bang:

It makes me so stinkin' angry because I actually know people like that. For quite some time, their young son would politely ask to leave the table during lunch because needed to go have a BM. They would politely say yes and then spank him (read: beat him!) after lunch for leaving the table. :bang::bang::bang: Where is the common sense? Every kid does that from time to time. Bodies get into a pattern. Sometimes food goes and there needs to be room.

    GRRRRR!

  5. Singleness is a gift, just has marriage is.

    I Cor. 7:
1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together
