    Christian Psychologists?

    I think of all psychologists as ungoldy, how can one possibly be a psychologist and be a Bible-practicing Christian? When I think of Psychology I think of blaming your problems on your situation. There are NO excuses for sin! I do believe there are Christian counselors, however. What are your views? Has anyone had a positive experience with a Christian psychologist?


    "Christian psychologist" is an oxymoron much like "Jumbo Shrimp" and "Military Intelligence." :goodpost:

    One of our members here (Ron) plays the trumpet. I just shot him a message. He is a busy guy, so I'm hoping he will have time to help you here. He is a real Doc, he just does not play one on TV. :)



    hahaha. well, per special request from BroMatt I am making a lounge call (kinda like a house call, only better) to answer this post. Unfortunately, I haven't bought any solo books for trumpet recently and most of them were purchased for me by former pastors years ago. There are many good trumpet solo books around and hopefully they are not all out of print now, but you might want to do a search under trumpet solos from people like ROBert Nagel, David Clydesdale, and the best of Chuck Ohman. One of our church orchestra members actually played in the Clydesdale orchestra several years back and we still play alot of his orchestra/choir arrangements for our musicals and church services. Hope this helps and hope everyone has a happy Labor Day!!!

    BIG TIP: Try out for the place kicker or the field goal kicker!



    EVEN BIGGER TIP: Try out for backup Quarterback because everyone loves the backup and all you have to do is look good holding a clipboard. Alternatively, long snapper is prOBably the next easiest position to play, but if you play in New England you need to be able to make a somewhat decent snow angel when your team scores the winning field goal! :lol:

    That is really cool Ron! You guys have some awesome music at your church. I love listening to those videos. I had decided if I was ever in the area of Lancaster Baptist Church, I would visit it.


    It's been a real blessing to be a part of the music ministry there. Let me know if you get a chance to visit. It would be great to have you or anyone else on here visit us the next time you are in the area!:icon_smile:

    The guy who posted the second link on youtube has excellent videos in which you all might enjoy. The church is Lancaster Baptist Church. They even have a radio station online you might be interested in.


    I play trumpet in the Lancaster Baptist Church orchestra and the first piano player is the band director of Lancaster Baptist school and just made a piano CD. He also cuts my hair as a hOBby, but does a great jOB! lol:thumb:

    The other piano player is the music director and conducts the choir and orchestra at Lancaster Baptist Church.:wink

    The FBI had an opening for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3 finalists; two men and a woman.

    For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. 'We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair... Kill her!!'

    The man said, 'You can't be serious. I could never shoot my wife.'

    The agent said, 'Then you're not the right man for this jOB. Take your wife and go home.'

    The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, 'I tried, but I can't kill my wife.'



    The agent said, 'You don't have what it takes. Take your wife and go home.'

    Finally, it was the woman's turn. She was given the same instructions, to kill her husband.



    She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping the sweat from her brow.



    'This gun is loaded with blanks' she said. 'I had to beat him to death with the chair.'

    MORAL: Women are crazy. Don't mess with them!

    And I thought the moral of the story was "don't give a woman blanks." :eek:lol:

    I've cut down on my Facebook usage. OB has slowed down but in the last few months we have had posts increasing. Last month we had the most posts since February 2009.


    I'm sure my 2 posts were a big help to that count total too! LOL:clapping:

    Before I vote in this poll, how big of a spider are we talking about.


    we are talking about something spider sized. lol. but srsy, that is a good point cuz something that is small I like to zap with Raid but if it was like a giant tarantula then spraying it with Raid would prOBably just make it angrier. haha:eek
