My sermon this Sunday will be, "That's Not Fair," & I'm trying to recall a verse, yet perhaps my memory is playing with me.

Is there a verse in the New Testament were Peter wants a special position? Maybe that is a poor way to describe the verse, yet at the moment that is the thought that comes to mind.

I may be thinking of the transfiguration, I read those verses & they don't seem to fit the verse in my poor memory.

When I read this it immediately brought to mind Psalm 2:1-4

'Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. '

The heathen can go ahead and rage against the Lord now but one day they are going to have to stand before Him and what a sad day that will be.

Georgia University Forces Employees to Sign Statement Rejecting Homosexuality or Be Fired

Shorter University in Rome, GA, is currently coming under fire for requiring its employees to sign a pledge rejecting pre-marital sex, adultery, and homosexuality. Don Dowless, the school's president, was quoted as saying that those who indicated a sexual preference "not agreeable with the Bible" would be terminated. The pledge also prohibits the use, sale, possession, and production of illegal drugs as well as the use or acceptance of alcohol. However, the media and liberals apparently only want to pull one part of the statement out as being discriminatory and that is its condemnation of homosexuality.

The world is doing its best to get a stamp of approval put upon this ungodly lifestyle. We are seeing an attack upon the Biblical model of the family like never before not only in the United States but all across the world. It has come to the point that it is not just the sodomites and other miscreants pushing to make this "lifestyle" acceptable. We also see so-called "Christians" and liberal "Churches" who are beginning to allow this wickedness into their midsts. Even some of the students at this Christian university were saying that it was a form of discrimination and that it was not any of their business how the employees chose to live their lives.

I find it refreshing to see a Christian organization that is standing upon the principles of the Word of God unashamedly. Today, many Christians refuse to take God's Word seriously. They pick and choose what part of God's Word they want to follow and which parts they want to ignore. This university has taken a stance which is based upon the very clear teachings of the Word of God and they are standing by that decision. I pray that they continue to stand on God's Word and that they would turn out some graduates who are serious about serving God with their lives.

Christ said that if we would be ashamed of Him and His words then He will be ashamed of us. We need some Christians to stand up and declare the truths found in the Word of God. We need some Christians who will not be ashamed to serve God with their lives and to live totally sold-out for Him. We have nothing to be ashamed of. The world, the lost, are going to be the ones who stand one day in shame because of their sin and wickedness.

Let us learn something from this university and not be ashamed of the Word of God.

'Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.'

Is there still a way to import statuses from Facebook? I see where we can export statuses to Facebook, but nothing where we can import them from Facebook. No big deal if that option is not available anymore just thought I'd ask.

You should be able to do it by going into your Control Panel under the Start Menu. I don't know what version of Windows you're using so I can't direct you straight to it after that, but there should be a place to change your keyboard settings inside of your Control Panel.

If you're running Windows 7/Vista then it should be under Clock, Language, Region.

If it's an older version of Windows then it should be under the Keyboard icon.

Thank you. Given what the song is about I can now see why the family might have selected that song. However, the way the song is performed I wouldn't want that at a funeral. Of course it's possible the family is Mercy Me listeners and the song holds special meaning to them because of this. After all, I've heard hymns at funerals I didn't think seemed right but the family did.

Yes, it seems this man believed that Jesus was a good moral man, not "The Christ."

Wow. I expressed when I was pregnant that I wanted to home school so much of the family is aware of it and most support it. They agree the public school system is not a place to send your kids if you can help it. Our family speaks to us, there is no prOBlem there, but a few have expressed no interest in the gospel though my husband has tried with his sister. The biggest deal here lately seemed to be Halloween. I posted on my Facebook that I was grateful to have spoken with a lovely Christian receptionist at my Dr. office about faith and the Lord and that we both agreed that Halloween being on a Sunday was a blessing because maybe it would inspire more to be in church and not on the streets. I got a lot of backlash about that from friends and family. "Ever kid needs to trick or treat!" I never told my dad we are against Halloween but told him I'd send him photos of our daughter in a Giraffe costume my sister gave her but otherwise we'd be at church that night.

I'm sorry your wife's family is being the way they are towards you. It is so hard to see friends and family distance themselves from you because you are trying to live a good Christian life. I'm seeing it more now in the last few months than I ever have and it can get discouraging. You are a blessing to be handling your situation so well. The Lord gets the honor and glory for that! I always think of the song 'Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus' where it says "... and the things of earth will grow strangely dim..."

Sorry to get us off topic, I ramble sometimes.

My family thinks I have joined a cult, well, some of them do at least. Although I've been saved for years and attended church for the last few only recently did my husband and I join an IFB church and are living more for the Lord than we ever have. I guess because I post scripture and give thanks to the Lord often on my Facebook I have joined a cult : Most of them on my Dad's side are devout Catholic. I am going to spend Thanksgiving with them so I pray I don't get any hostile remarks. I'll be much in prayer between now and then that all is happy and that I will have the Lord's strength with me that day. Eh, they're Catholic, they don't talk much about faith ever so I might be ok...
