A friend of mine from Upstate NY helped a pastor start a church in Maine. They knocked every door in the town to get people to come out. It was hard work. Not as easy as starting one in the South but their are people up there who would go if there was an IFB church to go to.

Unfortunately ,I can't recall the name of the church. I need to call my friend it's been a while. I'll see if I can get the name of the church.

Let me know if you ever think of the church name and location. I've brought groups and helped a few churches in Maine get started.

@Anthony John Thornton I will say this about New England. While it is hard due to hard hearts, the IFB Christians/churches we do have really support each other. We all seem to help each other out when a church is in need.

So last fall, I went back to work after 3 years off. I never thought being hit by a semi would be a blessing. As a nurse that that worked with sick people. I did not have to work the Covid crisis.

So I go back to work after 2 weeks covid was running through the company. I told my boss I think I am one of the lucky ones that cant catch it. After all I have had people literally breath in my face when they had it, I did not get it.

Not even 2 hours later, I can't walk across the office without panting. I head to Urgent Care thinking it was asthma. They treated me for asthma. 5 days later I am obsevered in ER for Covid. I was sick for 2 months. My lungs still are weaken by it. I was in the hospital last month for asthma. That never happened before. So I guess I deserve it for bragging.

Glad to hear you're ok. For many it was nothing more than a common cold, while with others it really compounded other symptoms.

No thanks on the meal kits. I guess, or know that I am old fashioned, but I like my own cooking and am not willing to change for expediency sake.

I hear you. The ones have received so far is where the organic ingredients for different meals that you pick out is sent to you, and you do all the cooking and putting it together. It's the same stuff I would have picked up at the grocery store.

  4. Due to our busy schedules, my wife for the last year has been buying ready to make meal kits and also purchasing meat through Butcher Box.  It seems the ones that get delivered the most frequent is Butcher Box and Green Chef. We make a monthly trip to Costco for all the other stuff, but the meals are good and we don't always make it like the instructions say, but gives us inspiration. ?

    Does anyone else do this?

Amazing! CT does count lol. I was just wondering about the prospects of soul-winning/evangelizing etc. My SIL lives in Alfred, ME. I was in the NE over Christmas. Perhaps the Lord would call me to NE in some capacity.

There is an excellent church in the next town over from Alfred. It is Pastor Todd Bell in Sanford, ME. It still is a soul-winning church

If God ever calls you to New England, let me know. We'll do what we can to help.

Yes Matt, it will be really appreciated and welcome. Please thank the church for me also.

I made a mistake when I wrote the date of the surgery, it is not the 11th, it is the 14th. The preop stuff starts on the 11th. It's confusing.

We prayed for you last night at our prayer meeting. All we can do is trust in the Lord.
