Yes, I saw that. I see that he was removed off North Florida Baptist College website and not listed on the church staff either. I don't understand why a church would hire him during the investigation.

Part of the agreement is that Giovanelli does not have to register as a sex offender. If he did do what was claimed, he got off way to easy.

It has been several years since I last posted or commented on these discussion boards. I find it necessary to comment on this discussion because I am troubled by the lack of warning about those who promote false doctrine. The OP (Totoosart) ask about a Bible study course from "Tomorrow's World" and (as far as I can tell) no one warned this person that "Tomorrow's World" is the outreach "ministry" of a cult that used to be called the Worldwide Church of God (Herbert W Armstrong) and is now known as the Living Church of God. It only took me a few moments to discover the truth about "Tomorrow's World." What is your excuse for not exposing error and false doctrine?

I do appreciate you sharing this information with us. Everyone is on here at their own time and inconvenience. We are glad that you posted what you did and feel free to post more to help lead those to the truth.

  3. I do know some churches that has had people record piano recordings for them that they use. I don't know if that is something that you would consider.

Thankfully, God gave me 4 girls, a wife, and a mother to play the piano. I lead the congregational myself and I feel for ya. I can't do it without a piano player. lol

Praise the Lord for the church growth.

We don't have a "bus ministry" at this time, but I'm spending about an hour and a half on Sunday mornings running around in my 1995 Ford F350 diesel flatbed picking up teenagers in the surrounding farming communities because they are calling me and asking for rides. The church can't afford a bus, or the insurance, maintenance or fuel to run it. But I reckon were getting the job done in our own way.

Amen brother. Praise the Lord for Church members like you that uses what God has given you to bring people to hear the Word of God each week. Keep it up brother!!

  5. I love the bus ministry and we are working on starting one at our church. I've seen much fruit from the bus ministry and I've also seen it hurt churches. Our plan for the bus ministry is to see souls saved and then help them grow in the Lord.  I've too many bus ministries where they "lead" thousands to Christ and baptize them, but never to see those kids/adults in church again.

So we imitate The Last Super to remember the occasion while Catholics believe they are actually given the body and blood of Christ?

Yes. When Jesus gave communion He did not break off pieces of His body and He did not cut himself to pour out blood.

This is an honest question that I have. If it actually does become the body and blood of Christ, then why doesn't it taste like it?

  7. In the Bible there are only 2 ordinances given to the local Church, Believer's Baptism (Acts 2:41-2:47) and the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-11:32). Any other ordinance is man made as it is not in the Bible. We also believe that the Lord's Supper is symbolic and does not actually become the body and blood of Jesus.

Thanks Okay, can I post  and share Christian and worldly News here, Copy and paste, on the News Page, This will be sharing other Links?

Yes, you can copy and paste new here as long as then you leave a link to the original source. We just try to discourage just posting links with no context to them.

  9. If one holds to the no Christmas tree "theology" based on Jeremiah then you must come to the conclusion that it is biblical to decorate the tree outside all you want... the key is that you can't cut it down and place it in your house.¬†ūüėč

"For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe."

That was spoken to Israel, and it refers to worshipping false gods/idols/graven images that were crafted from the wood of the tree by a "workman".

I have come to the same conclusion that the context of this¬†passage is talking about worshiping idols.¬† While I respect those that hold to a no tree conviction, I disagree with it. I hear¬†a lot about the paganism of it and that part I get, but I have yet to see someone not have tree because of its pagan background and hold that same conviction with our current calendar.... and don't get me started on the cross.¬†ūüėā

Our church has a WhatsApp group which is mainly for prayer requests.

That's definitely an option. I already started to develop one for our church members, should have it ready in a week or so. The reason I'm going with an app for us instead of chat software is  a few reasons.

    1. Online Giving option is right there when opening the app.
    2. I can send push notifications to members phones at any time.
    3. Church Directory Section
    4. Prayer Requests
    5. Upcoming Events
    6. Privacy. Certain pages requires login.

We'll see if this works for us.
