  1. Each year our theme deals with an area that we need spiritual strenghting in.

Our preaching is done with mostly expository with some topical thrown in.

On our pulpit we have the saying on it... "Just preach Jesus". I've heard preaching that was about opinions on both expository and topical preaching. If a pastor has an agenda, it will come out regardless of the type of preaching/teaching.

  2. Alright, what are your church themes for 2024.

Last year for us it was "Bring the Book" from Neh 8:1 And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel.

This year for us it will be "I Shall Not Be Moved": from Ps 62-5-8
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

  3. What's up, OB'ers! Can't let this moment slip by without sending out a massive Happy New Year to each and every one of you! Thinking about the ride we've had together here - the chats and the laughs. It's been real, and I'm thankful to be here with you all.

Before we dive headfirst into the New Year, I've gotta give a massive shoutout to our incredible mods! You all are the unsung heroes, keeping this place running smoothly, creating a space where we can all connect, share, and grow together.

    Happy New Year Everyone

  4. What Bible app do you use, and why do you prefer it?

Whether it's for daily readings, study plans, or specific features, everyone has their reasons for choosing a particular Bible app. Share yours and let us know what makes your chosen app your go to.

Feel free to include details such as:

    • Features you love: What specific features make your chosen app a standout for you?
    • User-friendliness: Is the app easy to navigate and use?
    • Additional resources: Does the app offer supplementary materials like devotionals, commentaries, or study guides?
    • Customization: Can you personalize your experience with themes, reading plans, or other customization options?

I'm  looking to try a different app so I thought I'd see what you all use

It’s also an affront to the English language, which predetermines pronouns based on biological gender, and it does not allow a singular entity to be referred to in the plural.

IMO, using that preferred pronoun in signature lines shows tacit agreement to this nonsense and therefore supports this defiance of God’s ordained order.

    Yeah, what she said. 🙂

I’m just repeating what I hear, read and see on Google. All you have to do is ask Google. Why is Apple iPhone more secured than Samsung’s or androids they explain all in more detail. I believe you work for a android provider maybe that’s why you like them better. I don’t work for anyone of those two mayor companies. 😁

I don't work for Google; I'm a freelance developer. I base my opinions on real-life experiences rather than what I hear or read. With both Pixel and Apple devices (I have both), I conduct benchmark tests for each, which is why I was curious about your perspective. I thought you were basing it off of what you found rather than googling your answers. If you Google 'why Android is better than iOS,' you'll get results favoring Android, and vice versa. That's why I prefer running my own tests.

iOS has some great features, and it's not a bad OS (though the GUI is another story). However, in comparison, it lags behind in technology (AI for example).

I'm able to use my iPhone 13 with not 5G only internet, but with 4G LTE Only, which still works better, and faster for Internet than 5G here where I live. I believe the iPhone has more you control features, built-in.

Ever since 5G came out we've been able to switch between 4G and 5G internet. What control features are you referring to?

    Apple

It has a built-in encryption system through Secure Enclave. This hardware-based security chip protects sensitive user data, even if the device's main processor is compromised. Apple also tightly controls its App Store, limiting the availability of malicious apps that could compromise user data.Sep 25, 2023

Please explain to me how Secure Enclave is more secure than stock Android, encryption, and why the iOS App store is more secure?
