  1. Connecticut is an awesome place. We have great churches (It's amazing all the churches of like faith working together in Ct right now), great people, best Pizza in the country, we experience all the seasons, and great history since we are the original Bible belt.

Yea, we're a blue state. Yea, we're one of the most expensive states to live in, but I love it.

I was more joking around more than anything else about moving to Ct, you need to be where God needs you to be. Praying for you my friend.

  2. In general, Methodists are more liberal than Baptists are. Woman pastors, LGBT and stuff like that.

I don't have much time right now, but Methodists practice infant Baptism, and Methodists perform baptisms by both immersion and sprinkling, but I've seen more of the sprinkling around here.

No thanks BroMatt. I experienced it sixty years ago when living in Hartford, I imagine it is a magnitude worse now.

Yea, I live in Hartford county and I can get to Hartford in about 20 minutes.....Let me tell you, it is much worse now. Please be praying for the city of Hartford as their is no Bible believing church in the city. A city of 125,000 (people keep moving out in droves) and no good church.

  4. As we found out in 2016, polls are not completely accurate and not an indication of what will happen at the voting booth. I keep seeing poll after poll of Biden having a decent size lead for the Presidential election. My question is, do you think that Biden has a chance of winning in November?

This is not to discuss who you're voting for, but to see if you think the polls are accurate this time around.

The majority of deaths occurred because liberal governors placed sick patients into nursing homes as happened to one in New Jersey that my cousin managers. Eighteen residents died because of that decision while 130 of the 135 residents there got sick as well as most of the nurses and staff.

NY and NJ both placed sick patients in Nursing homes causing a very high death rate in those states. In NY alone over 4,000 sick people were placed in nursing homes. Notice that both states have very liberal governors that blame their problems on Trump.

I do not worry about end times. God is in charge, so there is no need for me to concern myself. My concern is living today in a way that pleases God.

I am not a pastor. I believe the end times are far, far in the future, speaking in human terms. Why?

Primarily because many believe it will be soon. God never dances to our tune. Thus, when no one, or few are looking for his return, that is when he will return. While on earth Christ was continually surprising his followers. I do not believe that has changed.

Our concern should be how do we live today in a way that pleases Him.

Thank you for your response. I do see from Scripture in Luke and Titus that we are be looking for His return. I understand we should not necessarily be concerned, but I do believe since we are to be looking for His coming there needs to be a sense of urgency and some concern about others.

Plus, the Bible says no man knows the day or hour, saying soon does not mean anyone knows the day or hour.

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

  7. I've seen some Christians use the Parable of the Lost Sheep as a comparison to the Black Lives Matter Movement... It goes something like this.

While I see what they are trying to accomplish, these types of analogies are "Theological Racism".  Seems we're so quick to find Scripture to back up what we are saying that we don't take what Jesus was talking about in context. To use this story and to compare to black people to the one sheep is insulting to them. This guy in the link below talks about this issue.

I am happy to be here with you all. I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist from Texas. I am currently attending an Independent Baptist Bible College. I am King James Only, Dispensational, and not a Calvinist. I look forward to learning from some of the older and more seasoned members on the site.

    Thanks,
