  1. Why do people put these foods together? Pineapple and Pizza Chocolate and Pretzels Popcorn and m&m's Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Cheese and Honey Apple and Cheese Ketchup and Eggs I'm sure there are more, that is all I can put together for right now.
  2. Yes, I saw that. I see that he was removed off North Florida Baptist College website and not listed on the church staff either. I don't understand why a church would hire him during the investigation. Part of the agreement is that Giovanelli does not have to register as a sex offender. If he did do what was claimed, he got off way to easy.
  3. I do appreciate you sharing this information with us. Everyone is on here at their own time and inconvenience. We are glad that you posted what you did and feel free to post more to help lead those to the truth.
  4. Thanks for sharing. Those roads are like are roads here in Connecticut, so many pot holes you need a 4x4 vehicle. lol It is great you got away...and Happy Anniversary.
  5. I do know some churches that has had people record piano recordings for them that they use. I don't know if that is something that you would consider. Thankfully, God gave me 4 girls, a wife, and a mother to play the piano. I lead the congregational myself and I feel for ya. I can't do it without a piano player. lol Praise the Lord for the church growth.
  6. Amen brother. Praise the Lord for Church members like you that uses what God has given you to bring people to hear the Word of God each week. Keep it up brother!!
  7. I love the bus ministry and we are working on starting one at our church. I've seen much fruit from the bus ministry and I've also seen it hurt churches. Our plan for the bus ministry is to see souls saved and then help them grow in the Lord. I've too many bus ministries where they "lead" thousands to Christ and baptize them, but never to see those kids/adults in church again.
  8. Yes. When Jesus gave communion He did not break off pieces of His body and He did not cut himself to pour out blood. This is an honest question that I have. If it actually does become the body and blood of Christ, then why doesn't it taste like it?
  9. In the Bible there are only 2 ordinances given to the local Church, Believer's Baptism (Acts 2:41-2:47) and the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-11:32). Any other ordinance is man made as it is not in the Bible. We also believe that the Lord's Supper is symbolic and does not actually become the body and blood of Jesus.
  10. Yes, you can copy and paste new here as long as then you leave a link to the original source. We just try to discourage just posting links with no context to them.
  11. Welcome @Angel. Glad to have you here, thank you for introducing yourself.

    New year

Thank you. I've never been a big fan of New Years. Imagine what goals we could accomplish if we treated everyday like we do New Years?
  13. I try not to put down people that are involved in other religions/cults. Just preach Jesus to them and let the Word of God work in their hearts. I just would love to see them find the truth in the Word of God.
  14. If one holds to the no Christmas tree "theology" based on Jeremiah then you must come to the conclusion that it is biblical to decorate the tree outside all you want... the key is that you can't cut it down and place it in your house. "For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe."
  15. They live in the Redding area. I believe the church they attend is Shasta Baptist Church.
  16. I have come to the same conclusion that the context of this passage is talking about worshiping idols. While I respect those that hold to a no tree conviction, I disagree with it. I hear a lot about the paganism of it and that part I get, but I have yet to see someone not have tree because of its pagan background and hold that same conviction with our current calendar.... and don't get me started on the cross.
  17. I had a great Christmas. My church surprised us and flew in my daughter and Son-in-law from CA to Ct.
  18. Hello and welcome. We are not a large group, but we do have a variety of Pastors, Missionaries, and lay people that participate here. Looking forward to getting to know you.
  19. While I believe that repentance is necessary for salvation (not going to discuss that in this section), I don't think that the problem of millennials leaving the church is a pastor thing, but Christians in general. We as Christians should be studying the Bible and know why we believe what we believe. It should be for every Christian, not just the pastor.
  20. I would like to recommend IFB churches to prayerfully consider taking on Brother Jordan & Alicia for support. Jordan has been a part of Online Baptist for a few years now and just last week I was able to meet him in person for the first time. When Brother Jordan contact me about coming to our church to present his ministry, I talk him we are a small church and that we are not in a position to take on new missionaries at this point. That usually discouraged missionaries, but Jordan said, they will come. Brother Jordan and his wife Alicia did a wonderful job singing for us, and our hearts were blessed after watching his video presentation and hearing him preach. This young man has a big passion for the Nubi people and you can tell he and his wife can't wait to get there to start their ministry. All I ask is two things for the pastors that read this. Pray for the Kurecki family!!! Pray about financially supporting them Our church has a missions conference in March and we will be praying about adding them to our missionary family at that point. Thank you and God bless.
  21. It was a joy to have @Jordan Kurecki preach and present his work for us. It was good to to finally meet him after knowing him online for a few years. I want to encourage all you pastors out there to give him a call and have him present his work in your church, you will be blessed. Thank you Brother for coming to our small church and being a help to our people.
  22. That's definitely an option. I already started to develop one for our church members, should have it ready in a week or so. The reason I'm going with an app for us instead of chat software is a few reasons. Online Giving option is right there when opening the app. I can send push notifications to members phones at any time. Church Directory Section Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Privacy. Certain pages requires login. We'll see if this works for us.
  23. I'm heading out to preach at Vision Baptist College tomorrow, when I get back I'll see what I can do. Thank you.
