Pastor Matt got a reaction from HappyChristian for a news, Pastor Eli Regalado Charged with Crypto Fraud in Colorado
Denver, Colorado - A Colorado pastor, Eli Regalado, has found himself on the wrong side of the law, facing charges of securities fraud and other offenses related to a cryptocurrency scheme that allegedly defrauded investors of millions of dollars. Regalado, who led an online church, marketed a cryptocurrency called INDXcoin to his followers, promising them financial blessings and claiming divine guidance for his digital currency venture.
    Heavenly Promises, Earthly Losses:
The Colorado Division of Securities filed a civil complaint against Regalado and his wife, Kaitlyn, accusing them of violating state securities laws. The complaint alleges that the couple:
Created and sold INDXcoin without registering it with the state. Made false and misleading statements about the value and potential of INDXcoin. Used their religious authority to gain trust and exploit investors. Pocketed millions of dollars in investor funds for personal use. From Pulpit to Courtroom:
The investigation into Regalado began after the Division of Securities received complaints from investors who had lost money in INDXcoin. The investigation revealed that Regalado and his wife had raised nearly $3.2 million from more than 300 investors. They allegedly spent much of the money on themselves, including luxury cars, vacations, and home improvements.
    Divine Defense or Desperate Deception?
Regalado has denied the allegations and claims that he was acting on God's instructions when he created INDXcoin. He has also said that he has no experience in finance or cryptocurrency and that he was simply trying to help his followers.
    Impact Beyond the Faithful:
The case has raised concerns about the potential for fraud in the cryptocurrency market and the role of religious leaders in financial matters. It has also highlighted the importance of investor education and due diligence before investing in any cryptocurrency.
What's Next for the Pastor and His Flock?
Regalado and his wife are scheduled to appear in Denver District Court next week. They could face significant penalties if they are found guilty of the charges against them.
    Beyond the Local:
The case has been widely covered by the media, including articles in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN. It has sparked discussions about the intersection of faith, finance, and fraud, with many questioning how a religious leader could allegedly use their position to exploit trust for personal gain.
    A Call for Caution:
This case serves as a stark reminder to all investors, to approach any investment opportunity with caution and skepticism. Do your research, seek professional advice, and never invest based solely on promises of quick riches or divine intervention.
    Additional Information:
The Colorado Division of Securities has issued a warning to investors about INDXcoin and urges anyone who has invested in the cryptocurrency to contact them. The case has sparked ongoing conversations about cryptocurrency regulation and the need for investor protection in the rapidly evolving digital asset market.

Pastor Matt got a reaction from CatahoulaMom for a news, Pastor Clarence Sexton has Passed Away
I was saddened to learn of Pastor Clarence Sexton's passing yesterday. He was a beloved figure in the Knoxville community and beyond, serving as the pastor of Temple Baptist Church, and president of Crown College.
The family has put out the following statement:
Our beloved Pastor’s faith has now become sight. He is in heaven in the arms of his Saviour. Our church family has been wonderful over the last several months by showing your concern for us, praying for us, encouraging us, and expressing your love to us. We respectfully ask that you would give Mrs. Sexton and the family the time they need to process and grieve their loss before you reach out with compassion and understanding. Pastor Sexton loved the families of the church, college, and academy. He could not wait to get back to see everyone, and though we prayed for his healing on earth, God has chosen to provide his healing in heaven. God’s ways are above our ways, and though our hearts are hurting, we choose to believe that God is still good. The family is grateful that he is in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ where there is no sickness or sorrow. Funeral arrangements will be made in the coming days and we will keep you updated. There is no way that we can adequately express our thanks for your love and prayers at this time. God is with us, and we trust Him to help us in the days to come. -The Sexton Family

Pastor Matt got a reaction from TheGloryLand for a news, Hulk Hogan and His Wife Get Baptized at Indian Rock Baptist Church
Indian Rocks, FL, - Hulk Hogan, the iconic wrestler whose yellow bandana and handlebar mustache have graced arenas for decades, has taken a new stage: the baptismal font. The 70-year-old WWE legend, recently married to Sky Daily Hogan, underwent a public baptism ceremony at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida, calling it the "greatest day of my life."
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has long spoken openly about his Christian faith. In a recent social media post, he reflected on accepting Christ at 14, stating that "training, prayers, and vitamins" kept him in the game. However, this baptism marks a deeper commitment, publicly declaring his faith and "total surrender and dedication to Jesus."
Photos and videos of the ceremony show Hogan and Sky, dressed in white, being gently submerged in the baptismal pool by a pastor. Hogan's signature bandana, this time in white, remains firmly in place, a testament to his enduring persona even in this sacred moment. His wife, Sky, also expressed her joy, sharing on social media that she was "so proud" of her husband and "blessed" to be baptized alongside him.
The news has resonated with fans and the broader community. Indian Rocks Baptist Church, where the ceremony took place, celebrated the occasion, sharing Hogan's post on their Instagram story with the caption, "God is doing amazing things at Indian Rocks." Fans, too, have taken to social media, congratulating Hogan on his newfound faith and sharing their own experiences with baptism.
Hogan's decision to publicly undergo baptism comes at a time of personal transformation. In recent years, he has faced controversies and legal challenges, but his faith has remained a constant source of strength. This public declaration of his commitment to Christianity suggests a renewed focus on faith and family in the next chapter of his life.

The documentary series features interviews with survivors of abuse, as well as experts on the IFB church. The survivors share their harrowing stories of how they were groomed and abused by their pastors and other church leaders.
The series also explores how some in the IFB church's culture of secrecy and silence has allowed abuse to continue for many years. Church leaders often pressure victims not to come forward, and they may even threaten them with excommunication.

Churches Embrace Robust Security Measures to Protect Congregations
Please comment below in what area your church does that helps in the area of church security
In an era marked by growing concerns over safety, churches across the nation are taking proactive steps to enhance security measures and ensure the well-being of their congregations. With a focus on safeguarding their sacred spaces, church leaders are embracing best practices for church security to foster an environment of safety and peace.
Recognizing the significance of comprehensive security protocols, churches are conducting thorough security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities within their premises. Entrances, parking lots, and children's areas are closely scrutinized to develop tailored security plans that address specific needs. Congregations are engaging dedicated security teams comprising trusted individuals who undergo specialized training in emergency response, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
Access control measures have become a standard practice, enabling churches to regulate entry into their premises. Modern technologies, including secure doors, key card systems, and designated entrances for various groups, enhance the ability to monitor and manage access effectively. Additionally, churches are implementing check-in systems for events involving children and youth, providing an added layer of protection for the most vulnerable members of their community.
The adoption of advanced surveillance systems has emerged as a crucial aspect of church security. Churches are investing in strategically placed security cameras to monitor high-traffic areas, parking lots, entrances, and hallways. Clear signage alerting visitors to the presence of surveillance serves as a deterrent for potential threats, while maintaining the sanctity of the worship space.
Churches are leaving no stone unturned when it comes to emergency preparedness. Robust emergency response plans are being developed to handle diverse scenarios, ranging from natural disasters to medical emergencies and potential threats. Well-defined evacuation routes, assembly points, and communication systems ensure seamless coordination during critical situations. Regular training drills involving the security team and staff members keep everyone prepared and confident in executing these plans effectively.
Safety policies and procedures have also been established to create a secure environment within church communities. Guidelines addressing bag checks, prevention of unauthorized access to sensitive areas, and reporting suspicious activities are widely communicated through various channels. By fostering a culture of vigilance, church leaders encourage members to be proactive in maintaining a secure atmosphere, empowering them to report any concerns promptly.
Furthermore, churches are building strong partnerships with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services. Collaboration with these entities ensures a unified response in times of crisis, as well as access to valuable training resources. Seminars and workshops organized in conjunction with local authorities offer valuable insights into the latest security technologies and industry best practices.
Church security is an ongoing process that demands continuous evaluation and improvement. Regular reviews of security measures, feedback from security teams, congregation members, and local authorities help identify areas for enhancement. By staying abreast of emerging threats and remaining proactive, churches can adapt their strategies and technologies to ensure the utmost safety and peace for their congregations.
As churches across the nation embrace these best practices for church security, they send a clear message that the safety and well-being of their congregations are paramount. Through their commitment to protecting their sacred spaces, churches aim to provide a haven where worshippers can focus on their faith without fear or distraction.

A new study has used DNA evidence to shed light on the history of one of America's oldest black churches. The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Connecticut and others, found that the remains of three individuals buried at the site of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, Virginia, were likely members of the church's congregation in the early 19th century.
The First Baptist Church of Williamsburg was founded in 1776 by enslaved and free black worshipers. It is one of the oldest black churches in the United States, and it has played an important role in the history of the African American community in Williamsburg.
The study was conducted as part of an archaeological excavation of the First Baptist Church site. The excavation, which was led by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, uncovered the remains of three individuals buried at the site. The researchers used DNA analysis to determine that the remains were likely those of black men who lived in the early 19th century.
The findings of the study provide new insights into the history of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg. They suggest that the church was a thriving community in the early 19th century, and that it played an important role in the lives of black people in Williamsburg.
The study also has implications for the future of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg. The researchers hope that their findings will help the church to better understand its own history and to connect with its ancestors. They also hope that the findings will help to educate the public about the history of black churches in America.

Pastor Matt got a reaction from BrotherTony for a news, Nashville School Shooting: 6 Dead, Suspect Killed
On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School, a Presbyterian private school in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. Six people were killed as well as the perpetrator. Three children and three staff members were the victims.
The shooter, identified as Audrey Hale, 28, was a former student at the school. She was killed by police officers who responded to the shooting.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, but police believe that Hale may have been motivated by revenge. Hale may have been angry about being expelled from the school and had been threatening to harm students and staff members.
Hale was under care for an emotional disorder and had legally bought seven firearms locally, police said. She had also drawn detailed maps of the school, including the entry points to the building.
The attack was targeted and involved prior planning, police said. The shooter had sent an ominous message to childhood friend Averianna Patton on Instagram, Patton told CNN on Tuesday.
The shooting has left the Nashville community reeling. The Covenant School is a well-respected school in the area, and the victims were all well-known and loved.
The shooting began at 10:20 a.m. when Hale entered the school through a side door and began firing. She fired multiple shots, killing three children and three adults. Officers arrived on the scene and exchanged gunfire with Hale. She was killed at 10:27 a.m.
The Nashville shooting is a tragedy that has left the community heartbroken.

Pastor Matt got a reaction from Steven Yeadon for a news, What Happened to my Church?
It seems that in the last 30 or so years our churches have taken on a whole new look and atmosphere. As these changes were being made to attract more people to church, more and more people are having a hard time finding a church to call home?
Recently, I attended the Baptist Church that I grew up in. While growing up, this church was a very conservative church. Never would they have entertained the thought of having anything other than a piano or organ on the stage. Upon this visit, I noticed that everything has changed the last 30 years. No longer did the church look like a place of worship, but rather an entertainment center. Ironically, the crowds were smaller now than 30 years ago.
So what happened to my church? As I reflect back, I now see some signs that was there that started the shift of entertainment rather than worship. What has divided the church?
It seems that is almost always starts with music. Not many churches minds some guitars to help accomplay the music, but not too long ago ear plugs were being handed out as one enters the into some church sanctuaries.
Some churches now open with a secular song, dim the lights, add in fog machines, and have an atmosphere that represents a local rock concert. All of this is to enhance repetitive choruses that will be sung over and over by church members that seem hypnotized.
In an effort to attract unchurched people, the “Seeker Sensitive” movement suggested that churches should cater to the comforts of the “seeker”.  Bill Hybels admitted that he came up with the term but later confessed it didn't work.
Hybels states: “We made a mistake. What we should have done when people crossed the line of faith and become Christians, we should have started telling people and teaching people that they have to take responsibility to become ‘self feeders.’ We should have gotten people, taught people, how to read their bible between services, how to do the spiritual practices much more aggressively on their own.”
The founder of the “Seeker Sensitive” movement now states that he should have taught people to read their Bibles and take responsibility for their own spiritual walk. This church that I grew up in, used to teach me how to read the Bible on my own.
Acts 2:42 “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
When this music shift took place, Some churches catered to the older crowd with an early a.m. traditional service for those with gray heads. That trend began "the great divide" between generations.
Preachers started preaching only about love and tolerance. Everything and everyone must be accepted. Sin must be accepted. People loved having their ears tickled. The goal was to leave church with that "feel good" feeling and have their self-esteem built up. Sound doctrine was being set aside and ignored.
Issues like marriage, abortion, and hell apparently divide so the preaching ceased on those things, although rock music in the church apparently was not a dividing issue.
Having said all of that, the gates of hell are trying like crazy to penetrate the church, change its message, change its purpose, and to distort the gospel.
Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
If anyone else has seen that music has changed your church, please let us know and comment below.

Pastor Matt reacted to TheGloryLand for a news, What kind of a pastor do you have?
If you are a member of a sound, Bible believing church, this inquiry is addressed to you. We know without asking that modernistic pastors or cult leaders are “evil men and seducers.” (11 Tim. 3:13). We’re asking this question because in every good church there are a number of critics who feel their pastor, no matter how faithful, is a lemon and should leave soon. Why is it? Well, first of all “Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called: but God bath chosen the foolish . .. the weak . . . the base … and the despised, hath God chosen . . . ” (I Cor. 1:26-28). This passage discusses preachers and it is clear there are few supermen in God’s ministry. The critics feel their pastor is “below average.” So was Moses, who was “very meek” (no personality), Numbers 12:3; and the Apostle Paul who was “less than the least of all the saints” (no prestige), Eph. 3:8. The God of grace usually chooses humble men “that no flesh should glory in his presence” but rather “glory in the Lord”. (I Cor. 1:29-31). The root of criticism is usually PRIDE which is hindering blessing and causing trouble for “only by pride cometh contention.” (Proverbs 13:10). If your pastor exalts Christ as God and Saviour and preaches Bible-centered messages then he is definitely the kind of a pastor God wants in your church and he deserves your hearty support and cooperation. “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their works sake, And be at peace among yourselves.” (I Thes. 5:12-13). Remember that a pastor is not the church’s hired man, paid to please the members — rather an “overseer” appointed by the Holy Spirit (Acts 20:28) and Christ’s “gift” to each local church, “for the perfecting of the saints to do the work of the ministry.” (Eph. 4:11,12). Concerning faithful pastors, God commands: “Obey them that have rule over you, and submit yourselves; for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” (Heb. 13:17). Don’t demand too many visible results for your pastor’s calling is to faithfully sow and water the seed of God’s Word and the Lord “gives the increase” (I Cor. 3:5-10) which may or may not be visible to your eyes. May we express appreciation to the many consecrated church members who prayerfully support and encourage their pastor in these difficult days. When the critics also develop a Scriptural attitude toward the pastor we predict that the church will enjoy many new blessings and greater progress; the pastor’s efforts will bear more fruit and everyone’s soul will be filled. What kind of a pastor do you have? You probably have the very one God wants you to have the very best man for your particular church to fulfill God’s purpose there at this time!

Pastor Matt reacted to BrotherTony for a news, Michigan Governor Says VP Kamala Harris Treated Badly Because of Her Race
The Democratic Governor of Michigan, Whittmer, says that VP Kamala Harris is treated badly because of her ethnicity and skin color. I find this very hard to believe. During her run for the White House in 2019-2020, VP Harris was oft confronted about her actions as the California States Attorney General, keeping innocent people in jail and for her lifestyle as a woman of low morals. Today, as VP, she is treated the way she is for her inability to take seriously the border crisis between the United States and Mexico, her complaining about not having enough space in the home she is in, and many other things. She shows a true lack of leadership ability, and continues to laugh like "The Joker" of the Batman series of movies. She has proven herself unable to handle the simplest tasks for the administration. Even the people who work under her has stated with many expletives that she is messing the Office of Vice President up, creating a hostile work environment. Lord help us all if this administration gets a second term.

It has been many months since the new administration took over in Washington, DC., and I find that many still are laying their hopes on a man named Donald James Trump. In a way, this bothers many of us, because it seems that the former POTUS has developed a “cult” following. Many others (I’m speaking mainly to my Christian brothers and sisters) are still hoping to put him back in office in 2024, dividing the Republican Party. They aren’t on the “cult” bandwagon yet, but, they are close! Yes, the former POTUS did keep many of his promises where previous administrations had made the same promises and failed. Yes, the former POTUS did help the economy. But, I find that those who are placing their hopes in Mr. Trump are also claiming to put their faith in God.
There is nothing wrong with appreciating a person for what they have done for our country. I voted for Mr. Trump in both 2016 and 2020, though I am NOT a Republican. My wife and I are neither Socialist Democrats nor Republicans. The Republicans left us many years ago. We did not leave them. We became moderate Independents. We also are Christians. Yes, we DID appreciate all that the Trump administration accomplished during their tenure. The Trump administration was good for America. I know that many blame the Trump administration for the divisiveness found in this country today. That simply IS NOT TRUE. The divisiveness grew in the previous administration, that of Barack Hussein Obama and Joseph Biden. Their unwillingness to work with the Republican party and to advance the leftist ideology in this country over the will of the people was far more divisive than the impolite Tweets of Donald Trump.
I am not a fan of the current administration and it’s return to the political ideals and practices of the Obama Administration. It is terrible to think that our political process could have been tampered with to put the Biden/Harris administration into office. I’m not saying that there was or wasn’t tampering. That’s not my job. I’m first and foremost a Christian, not a political advocate. The Bible tells us that GOD is the one who puts people in power…regardless of how we vote, God will put whom he wants into positions of power. We are commanded to pray for those who are over us, and I do, daily. I pray that God will work in their hearts and minds, and that if they’re not going to follow the Biblical examples given them, that he will thwart their plans to push an evil agenda on the people. I’m told that as a Christian, I am an Ambassador for Christ.
An “ambassador” follows the commands of the person who he/she represents. We, as Christians represent Christ. We’re told to “preach the Word,” and to “go and make disciples.” We are to be building the kingdom of God. We cannot effectively do that and follow a man to the point of distraction.
So, for the thought? I believe that we should be praying for this administration in spite of how many believe they gained power, or how most of us believe that their agenda is far less than Godly. Why don’t we join together as brothers and sisters, take our eyes off of who is running the country, realize that our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS in HIGH PLACES! Why don’t we put on that “whole armor of God” and deliver the Word to a lost and dying world, and trying to bring those who have lost hope back into the fold? Satan is the “Master Deceiver!” If he can get our attention away from the mission that Christ set before us, then HE HAS ALREADY WON! The Bible tells us plainly to be “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!  How many of us can and will follow what the Lord Jesus Christ has told us to do instead of putting our eyes on a man…ANY man, whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump? Is anyone willing to stand with us? That’s my thought for today. Just a thought!

    Bell Buckle, Tennessee
It’s a beautiful morning here in rural Bell Buckle, Tennessee. The sun is rising and shining brightly across the large lots here in our small subdivision. Just watching the bright orange color rising over the treetops and listening to the birds chirping make m heart want to sing of the goodness of our Lord towards us!
We awoke this morning to the sound of the alarm clock shortly before 2 AM. Our good friend, Mr. Coffee® was just finishing up his morning routine, and the smell of Folgers® was wafting through the whole house! I’m so thankful that the Lord has let our dear friend serve us as long as he has. He’s been a good and faithful servant. The Lord constantly used this inanimate object to remind me of just how important it is to do the job the Lord has put us here to do, and to do it well. I pray every morning during my quiet time that I will be strong enough to let go and let HIM take control of the day, and that nothing will get in the way of serving Him faithfully.
As many of you know, I have had some challenges with my ears. These challenges have included me being out with vertigo, tinnitus, and unsteadiness. You also may know that I have recently been taking decadron (generic version) injections to try and calm these challenges down.  I have experienced fewer vertigo attacks since the injections started, and they have been less severe. I have also had some temporary relief in the area of tinnitus. Many people don’t realize just how hard it is on a body to have a vertigo attack, or to feel unsteady for long periods of time. But, for  those of you willing to do a little experiment, I would suggest that you take two 10 lb bags of potato’s, putting one bag in each hand, holding them out straight away from your body. Then turn as fast as you can in circles until you feel as if you’re going to fall. Come to a quick and complete stop and let go of the potato’s. Feel how dizzy you feel? Do you feel like you could walk a straight line? Have you fallen down yet? Those of us who suffer from Meniere’s Disease or Bilateral Meniere’s Disease go through this several times a month or year. It is not an incurable disease, but it is very disabling disease. Yet, I have found that the Lord God has used it for His own glory. It breaks the ice with many who suffer vertigo attacks, tinnitus, unsteadiness or other maladies, and gives me a chance to spread the Word of God, that great news of  Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord! I used to hate having this disease,  and I cannot say that it’s fun in any way, shape or form. But, I truly believe it is a GIFT from God, not so much a “thorn in the flesh,” as Paul calls it. It makes me rely more and more on the strength that only Jesus Christ can give. His strength is made perfect in my weakness. What a humbling experience.
I have been praying for many things to happen in my own life and ministry to people. The Lord is opening and closing doors. It’s just an everyday thing. God will guide us through the doors he opens if we will listen carefully and follow HIS direction instead of what we THINK his direction is. Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish who’s voice is who’s. But, God will always reveal himself if we seek his face.
I’m so thankful that over these past ten months, I have been able to start learning some new things and refreshing some others that I had learned already while I was in college. During the beginning months of my recovery from prescription drug addiction last March, a friend of mine introduced me to the Cowpunchers Cowboy Church of Shelbyville, Tennessee. Vivian and I already attend a small SBC church (North Fork Baptist Church of Shelbyville) and we love the church and people there. But, there needed to be some extra help from people who had experienced some of the same things I had. This man and his wife came and sat in the driveway of our home until I agreed to go with him to a Tuesday evening men’s Bible study. I did so with much hesitancy, but found that it was quite a necessary step for me in recovery. I built a small network of friends there who have helped encourage me and keep me away from the pain medications. The Lord has been so good to me through this group. I became involved in a learned process through a program called the “Ministry Diploma Certificate Program” with the Cowboy Church through the American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches. Most people believe that these churches are just a fad, but I have found that they are Scripturally sound, preach the Bible, though many of them don’t use the King James Translation exclusively, and they have helped ground me even further in my will to study, preach, witness and “stay the course” for the Lord.  It has been a time of refreshing for me. I have been in recovery and free from the prescription medications now for over 14 months. I praise the Lord for this! It’s a victory for the Lord, and a victory for my  wife and I.
I pray that all of you are having a great week! I know many of you have experienced loss, heartache and pain this week. But, I also know that God has a reason for all things. I pray that He will comfort, lead and guide you through the challenges you face every day. It’s so important to rely on Him. He alone is our strength and our stay.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
    May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May you all have a blessed day in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Blessings.

Pastor Matt got a reaction from Salyan for a news, Baptist Church Tent Meeting Draws Concern from the Community
The first night of a week-long old fashioned tent meeting by Anchor Baptist Church in Astoria Oregon was a success as around 30 people attended. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reaction of a tent meeting by the community raised plenty of concerns over the safety and well-being of those attending. Pastor Byers of Anchor Baptist Church assured the community and the city that all safety guidelines from the CDC will be followed. Anchor Baptist seemed to go above and beyond those extra measures.
When a guest arrives, they are directed to a separate tent for temperature checks, and to log their name and address for contact tracing in case someone in attendance tests positive for Covid-19. All guests are required to wear masks and each family is seated 6 feet apart from each other. The sides of the tents were also up so that there can be a constant breeze flowing through.
Due to the concern of the community, as evident from the comments on the City of Astoria’s Facebook page, Mayor Bruce Jones stopped in and found no reason for concern as all the public health guidelines from the CDC were being followed properly.
Many in the community wishing Pastor Byers church would delay or cancel the event as the pandemic is reaching new heights across the country. The event started Sunday and runs through July 19.
It seems as we reach new heights with positive Covid-19 results, that churches are starting to feel the pressure from the communities for having their doors open. As long as churches take precautions and do what they are supposed to do without compromise to Scripture, I say keep on keeping on.

Pastor Matt reacted to John Young for a news, Kansas pastor’s wife goes missing on drive to Alabama
"LEAWOOD, Kan. (BP) — Pastor’s wife Marilane Carter has been missing since Aug. 1 when she departed her Overland Park, Kan., home, reportedly to seek psychiatric care in Birmingham, Ala.
The Overland Park Police Department said in a press release that Carter left her home around 8:15 p.m. Aug. 1 and was last heard from Aug. 2 when she was near Memphis, Tenn., about 450 miles into her trip.
Leawood Baptist Church Lead Pastor Adam Carter, Marilane’s husband, has joined a search party covering a 3-mile radius around the place her cell phone was last used.
Associate pastor Jason Franklin told Baptist Press the church is struggling with feelings of having failed the 36-year-old mother of three children, although he said her reported mental health struggles were not common knowledge among the congregation of about 100 worshipers.
“Whenever things like this happen, there’s always this, ‘Could I have done something, did I miss some sign?'” Franklin said. “And obviously her mental struggles were not something that was widely known among the entire congregation. It was kept very close to the chest.”
Franklin, a bivocational minister, is asking Southern Baptists in the Memphis area to join in the search if able, ..... (follow link for more information)
