Pastors that use Apple Laptops, iPhones, and Tablets...
Pastor Matt replied to TheGloryLand's topic in Computer Room
Not necessarily as much anymore. The last two years in versions 13 & 14 things have been tightened up significantly in that area. With that being said, apps are the weakest link for both Android and Apple as they are mainly developed by third party developers. I've been running Android 14 since February and giving feedback to the developers. They have improved over 13 in app requirements with permissions. 14 will be released to the public in October. -

Of course they're going to say that. You think they're going to come out and say we're insecure? No IT company does that. I don't go by what companies like Alphabet or Apple say, but by what IT security companies say. The reality is they all do spy on you as the data shows. This has not been true for a couple of years now. For starters, Apple forces sms (non encrypted) to non Apple users because they refuse to use universal standards. SMS is 50 years old and only still around because Apple forces it for non Apple users. -

Both Alphabet and Apple do, and they do it in the name of security and convenience. -

As an Android developer, I exclusively use Android. Android offers a wide range of features, and when I use my kids' iPhones, I often feel limited because it lacks many fundamental features present in the core of Android. I won't even begin to get into the GUI and the fact that iPhones don't adhere to universal standards.? -
cute I think I'm doing this grandparent thing wrong. You have yours listen to preaching and mine...well I'm giving him rides on my vacuum. https://photos.app.goo.gl/7tBfjW2jTm77qbT76

Security in the local church ⛪

Maybe this is what you are referring to? -
This song keeps popping up on my social media feed, and those who know me are aware that I'm not against the creation of new songs. Nevertheless, I find it puzzling why this song, like many new ones, doesn't even mention the word "God." Many songs leave it up to the listener to interpret the "he" and "me" as whoever they want it to be. This song will not be sung in my church. ? - RANT OVER When the worry's likes a whirlwind And I just keep spinning round & round I feel like such a mess And I'm craving something quiet Is there a place that I can go to close my eyes And just forget That I'm not okay Cause I'm not okay But even as I wait I can hear you say Come and rest Come and rest Come and rest in peace Take a breath Take a step Take it easy Let the weight Leave your chest Let it fall on me Come and rest in peace When I'm crushed beneath my conscience And my soul is underground & now my lungs can barely breathe Help me realign my focus Till every facet of your heart appears in perfect clarity That's the only way That I'll be okay And even as I wait I can hear you say Come and rest Come and rest Come and rest in peace Take a breath Take a step Take it easy Let the weight Leave your chest Let it fall on me Come and rest in peace Come away, come away Come away, come away With me Rest in peace There's a place, there's a place You can stay, you can stay With me Rest in peace Come away, come away Come away, come away With me Rest in peace There's a place, there's a place You can stay, you can stay With me Rest in peace Come and rest Come and rest Come and rest in peace Take a breath Take a step Take it easy Let the weight Leave your chest Let it fall on me Come and Rest In Peace

I want to share some changes we've made to our software to keep our community safe. It's all about reporting content that might have nudity or explicit stuff in it. Here's the deal: If you come across anything that contains nudity, you can now report it as nudity. When only one member does that, the software will automatically hide that content from public view. Our Mods will then take the necessary steps for banning . This change is all about making sure our Online Baptist family-friendly and faith-centered environment stays that way. We really appreciate your help in keeping our site clean and suitable for everyone. Thanks for being a part of Online Baptist and helping us make it a place where we can all grow in our faith. If you have any questions or concerns about this update or anything else on our platform, feel free to let me know. Thank you to everyone who reported the latest member. This new tweek will remove the content even faster now. God Bless. It's sad that we even have to have this conversation. ?

That is correct: Salvation is all about believing in Jesus Christ. When an individual genuinely believes something, it prompts a change. If repentance occurs at the moment of belief, then it's not a prerequisite for salvation.

My Daughter is getting ready for deputation to Spain
Pastor Matt replied to Pastor Matt's topic in Relationships/Family
BTW, the Bible verse is just a placeholder while they send me the verse they want to use. ? -
3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. This verse really hits home, as I often think about my failures as a father. One of my daughters and SIL will be starting deputation soon as they will be heading to Spain in a couple of years. This evening I'm finalizing their prayer cards before I send them out to print.

The true independent Baptist Church is #1
Pastor Matt replied to TheGloryLand's topic in Church Related Discussions
I've talked to many people from many denominations that all have dealt with the same thing in their denomination. It comes down to people and their experience in previous churches. Thankfully you didn't throw out Biblical values because of the bad apples. -

The Bible does not explicitly state whether vaccines are a sin or not. Therefore, each individual must decide what is best for their family. A pastor should not try to play the role of the Holy Spirit and tell their congregation whether or not vaccines are a sin. Instead, they should encourage their congregation to pray and seek guidance from God on this matter. @Sabrina Welcome to OB.

Hey, my friend, there's no need to use that kind of language. Remember, this is a Christian, family-friendly forum, and we don't allow cursing here. That may be true, then your vocabulary should be reflective of your age. ? I'm not sure if you're having a bad day or not, but I wasn't complaining. I was simply pointing out that there's no need to resort to name-calling when expressing disagreement. There's a clear distinction between passing judgment and evaluating doctrine through the Word of God. We'd appreciate a dialogue with you without encountering insults, profanity, or derogatory terms.
