  1. @BrotherTony I actually spent most of my time in collegedale, but stayed at a hotel over in Ringgold Georgia. It was a quick trip, but if I'm back there again I'll definitely let you know
  2. For work, I had to go to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for a few days (I wish I had had time to visit some of you Tennessee folks). ? While it is beautiful, and I enjoyed it, it made me really appreciate New England. ? It all comes down to being where God wants you, and I'm thankful it is in Connecticut, which is the basketball capital of the world. ? BTW, the airport in Murfreesboro has to be one of the tiniest airports around.
  3. Consider yourself thankful, we've been almost full-blown Christmas in our stores for the last month
  4. Yes, he can reply. Currently, it's his choice not to.
  5. What makes you assume the pastor is the one that assigned that spot?
  6. Coffee is not allowed during our main worship service, but it is allowed during Sunday School and evening Bible Study. We found that coffee created a too-casual atmosphere during the worship service. Of course, every area is different, but that was the case for us.
  7. I get it and understand that. So...any thoughts on coffee in the sanctuary?
  8. Pastor John Piper, a well-known Baptist theologian and author, has sparked a debate over the appropriateness of coffee drinking during church services. On October 4, 2023, Piper posted a tweet asking, "Can we reassess whether Sunday coffee-sipping in the sanctuary fits?" He also quoted Hebrews 12:28, which says, "Let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe." Piper's post has garnered thousands of responses, with some people agreeing with him that coffee drinking is inappropriate during church services, while others defended the practice. Some people argued that coffee is simply a beverage and that there is nothing wrong with drinking it during church, while others said that it is disrespectful to drink coffee while the pastor is speaking. Piper has not commented further on the issue, but his tweet has certainly generated a lot of discussion. It is interesting to note that Piper himself has been known to drink coffee during his sermons in the past. The debate over coffee drinking during church services is not new. In recent years, there has been a growing trend of churches offering coffee and other beverages to their members during services. Some churches have even created dedicated coffee shops in their lobbies. Those who support coffee drinking during church services argue that it is a way to make church more welcoming and inclusive. They also say that it can help people to stay focused and engaged during the service. However, those who oppose coffee drinking during church services argue that it is disrespectful to God and to the worship service. They say that it is important to be focused on God during church, not on coffee. So are you for or against drinking coffee during church?
  9. I'll be honest, I just put on my socks and shoes, and I have no idea what order I do it in
  10. @TheGloryLand Don't forget to update your iPhone to iOS 17 that was released recently so that you can experience the features I've been using for awhile ?
  11. You got half of that correct. A little money here and a little money there
  12. The parent company of Google is Alphabet, and I have that stock as well. Regarding Apple stock, I'm banking on the teenage girls and their bullying others with iPhones. ?
  13. More than likely that is a carrier issue. 5G is faster, but works best being close to a 5G tower. Some Android phones are downright terrible. I believe Android is further ahead with technology than iOS, but it will only work as well as the phone that it's installed on. Right now, both the tensor chip on the Pixel and the Apple A series processing chips are both very good. SMS only exists right now because of Apple. SMS can only handle a certain amount of characters which is why MMS was started and you had to use a third party app for messaging to send large files or texts. RCS is now the universal standard and I hope Apple adopts to it soon.
  14. The notch? Apple is reportedly working with Samsung to design a notch-less display for future iPhones. Just like with type C connector, they are the last high-end phones still using a notch.
  15. You may want to do some more research on phone cameras and do some real live testing yourself as that is not the case at all anymore. What you're repeating is from around 5-6 years ago. Apple emphasizes hardware, while Google prioritizes software. Sony manufactures the camera sensors for both Apple's iPhones and Google Pixel phones. Currently, Google has the software advantage in technology. That's why my daughters, who have the new iPhones, use my phone when they want the best pictures. iPhones take great photos, but Pixel's software, especially in low light, takes it to the next level. We've extensively tested high-end phones, and Apple is no longer leading the competition. Of course plenty of Samsung parts are in the iphone ? I'm an avid Google Pixel user, and through benchmarking, it's clear that while the iPhone remains a good phone, it has been playing catch-up for the last 3-4 years.
  16. Just noticed this now; I'll see what I can do to move it. For future use, please tag me next time so I will get a notification
  17. I believe iPhones have excellent hardware, but in my opinion, their software lags behind in terms of technology. Anything new with technology is overpriced for the most part. Apple just seems to inflate it more than other companies by using old technology and calling it revolutionary. But hey, if the consumer doesn't know, it's new to them.
  18. I think you're getting confused as you just switched to phones. Android is the most popular OS due to it being open source and available to be installed on any phone. For future reference, are we talking phones or OS?
  19. Even though they were forced to do it against their will .... welcome to the rest of the world Apple. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/12/technology/apple-iphone-15-usb-c.html Imagine getting excited over 9 year old technology ?
