Prayer Request for Financial Help
Napsterdad and 2 others reacted to JennyTressler for a topic
Last year I was diagnosed with Autism at 42, and I’ve also been suffering with Major depressive disorder and anxiety. I have been unable to hold a job and make a living for my entire life and am now awaiting a decision about Disability Insurance. God has always provided for me financially. I pray that my Disability decision is approved quickly that I may receive the finances I need for my living. IN Him, Amen.3 points -

Actually, you are dead wrong and teaching falsehood. The Bible teaches repentance from sin and repentance are both necessary for faith. Again, with the straw men. Repentance is not cleaning up your life - it is changing your mind about your sin and turning from it in your heart. If it is true repentance, it WILL reflect in the life - but the changed life is the result of true repentance, not the repentance itself. Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. If repentance was turning from unbelief, then that verse above would not make sense: believe so you can believe. Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Luke 17:3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. Oh, it's ok, brother, you sinned against me, but now you believe, so we are all good (though you never made that sin right, hm). Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. God is not going to wipe away your sin until you repent of that sin. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Hm, same idea here. Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. Repent of your UNBel... wait, wickedness! Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Um, believe and believe? Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. 2 Corinthians 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed. Here, Paul is talking to believers - but the word means the same, and it is not repent of unbelief, but of specific sins. Revelation 2:21-22 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. Revelation 9:20-21 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Six examples of UNBELIEF they were to repent of!! Oh wait, those are examples of specific sins... Doh!!2 points -
"REPLENISH" the earth.....

replenish (v.) mid-14c., replenishen, "provide" with food or drink, also riches, beauty, etc., from Old French repleniss-, extended present-participle stem of replenir "to fill up," from re-, here perhaps an intensive prefix based on the notion of "fill repeatedly," thus "fill completely" (see re-), + -plenir, from Latin plenus "full" (from PIE root *pele- (1) "to fill"). Specifically as "to fill up again, restore to a former amount or condition" by 1610s. Related: Replenished; replenishing; replenishment. And here's the link to the prefix "re" https://www.etymonline.com/word/re- I'm not convinced either way. Evil did exist before man sinned, otherwise God would not have "known good and evil" and the serpent would not have been an evil entity to have tempted Eve. And "death" was a known concept, otherwise the serpent and Eve would not have discussed it. The Bible says that death passed upon Adam and Eve.. I don't recall reading where it says that animals had not yet died. I'm just curious as to what happened to all them "dinosaurs". Except for crocodilians, they were completely annihilated long ago and I don't believe any of them were on the ark.1 point -
Yes, I love listening to Bruce. He brought real truth to what it means to be an actual Christian. I really appreciated how he pointed out Platonic and Socrates world views in Christian religion. He's a real life-giver.1 point

Exactly.. as that is the repentance that God is looking for.... We know that "Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS">. ... and we find those Religious Fakirs who are trying to pretend they aren't because they can stop for 15 or 20 mins.....and want to offer this to God as Cain offered some veggies and was told by God to "get out". People who understand the Blood Atonement, understand that God came down here, wrapped in human flesh, to offer HIMSELF a Body as His entire Eternal Salvation SACRIFICE.......= that is our only forgiveness and Justification. A sandwich tried to get a reservation at a restaurant, but the waiter said they don’t serve food there. There are three types of people: those who can count and those who can’t. He was addicted to the hokey pokey, but thankfully, he turned himself around. I finished the puzzle in six months, even though the box said it would take 4 to 5 years. I’ve had amnesia for as long as I can… It was an emotional wedding — even the cake was in tiers.1 point -

Only "throw it out" if you are trying to offer it to God to be accepted by God. For example.. "God, i'll promise to stop sinning............will you save me now'"" ????? See that? "God says" = NO I WONT, as that is not my GRACE. and you are "saved by Grace", or you are not saved at all.1 point -

What you wrote does not even make sense as a sentence, so, it certainly can't be found as sound theology. So, God requires that we give to Him, our faith in Christ. As that is to repent from Unbelief, and that is the TRUE Repentance that God accepts. Remember.. 'Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS"......... and you qualified......same as us all. Just stay here... A.) God became a man to die for all your sin, so that He can then give you HIS Righteousness. And that is what happens when you go to God with Faith in Christ. God takes the Blood and Death of Jesus and makes you sinless, as "Jesus is the ONE TIME... Eternal SACRIFICE for SIN" AND then, once your SIN is dealt with by the BLOOD and DEATH of Jesus........as He has now died for them all..... God then gives you "the Gift of Righteousness" that is "The Gift of Salvation". See that? That is to become BORN AGAIN... as a "new Creation".. "in Christ". AS = "ONE with GOD".1 point -

Why did the elderly man fall into the well? He couldn't see that well. An airplane crashed and every single person died. Who survived? Married couples. Researchers at Stanford University, working under a government funded grant, have discovered the leading cause of dry skin. Towels.1 point -
