  1. 1.6.21's "insurrection" is a great big nothing-burger that silly, foolish people have been convinced was a horrible riot of "Trump supporters" who were out to get folks like Pelosi. Video footage proves that those who were involved in desecration were ANTIFA. But who cares about the truth? Let's just continue to promote lies that destroy this country. Who cares what Cheney says? Liberals will quote him saying this date is so important just because he's a wimp who is trying to become relevant once again by pandering to the liars touting an "insurrection." I'm deeply disappointed that the American people don't know/understand their constitutions enough to replace the liars and socialists currently in the public servant positions. I'm deeply disappointed that there are Americans who believe the lies coming out of DC about a lot of things, this non-insurrection to boot.

  2. However, we've seen the dastardly tricks of the democratic political machine can begin their deception far from our shores in the past. I wonder if the Cyprus folk received any grants from the NIH director.

  4. Where in the Old Testament was Abraham COMMANDED by God to tithe? You seem to confuse descriptive history with it being “instituted by God”. Just because Abraham tithed, does not mean he did it because God “instituted” a tithe on him. The Old Testament is full of people giving things to God that he did not require, but simply because they CHOSE to in order to worship and honor God.

  5. Yeah, but you first have to wait for the multiple triple blind muti-bilion dollar studies to show what we already know because, you know, science.

  10. I seriously doubt the University of Cyprus cares a whit about out midterm elections. Do you know where Cyprus is? Deltacron infection is higher among patients hospitalized for COVID-19 than among non-hospitalized patients, so that rules out the contamination hypothesis, said Kostrikis, a professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus and head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology. What’s more, the samples were processed in multiple sequencing procedures in more than one country. And at least one sequence from Israel deposited in a global database exhibits genetic characteristics of deltacron, he said.

  11. Deltacron--a new variant. Researchers at the University of Cyprus recently identified 25 cases of what they’re calling “deltacron” A new combination strain of the delta and omicron variants of COVID-19 was recently discovered in the Middle East, Bloomberg News reported Saturday. A team of researchers at the University of Cyprus in the island country Cyprus has identified 25 cases of what they’re calling “deltacron,” the outlet said referencing Leondios Kostrikis who heads the school’s Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology. Kostrikis, a biological sciences professor, described deltacron as having omicron-like genetic signatures within its delta genomes. https://www.yahoo.com/news/researchers-discover-covid-19-strain-135217813.html

  12. I see, Brother! Thanks for the clarification. I guess I misunderstood your post. I hope you don't get this nasty VID virus. For my wife, it was quite an easy experience....for me...well, it about killed me the second time, and I'm still trying to recover. Heart and kidney challenges have come from it. It exaserbated my COPD/asthma, and bilateral Meniere's disease. I finally, for the first time in nearly five months, was able to attend our church services this morning. It wasn't an easy thing, and I had to sit during the music portion of the worship service...But, I was thankful to be there!

  13. Having been involved in cutting edge science for many years, I can attest that scientific projects like this one benefits us greatly. Much of the science, knowledge, mechanics, products, as well as all the "spin offs" ,have had a vast economic benefit for us in real dollars as well as knowledge. So, I don't consider it money wasted. But this is a Christian discussion message board. As interesting as something like this may be, it is off topic for this kind of a forum. Let's stick to God, Bible, and Christian topics.

  14. This is a commandment for ALL Christians and should be taught to even the babes Christ. Pastor or not, the command is for Christians. Matt 5:44, But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  15. On the one hand, I myself am compelled to acknowledge that the New Testament does not contain a direct command of tithing for the New Testament believer. On the other hand, I believe that the New Testament DOES provide a principle of percentage giving ("as God hath prospered" - 1 Corinthians 16:2, as well as 2 Corinthians 8:12) for the New Testament believer unto the ministry of the Lord. Furthermore, I believe that the primary motivation for giving unto the ministry of the Lord is out of HONOR for the Lord (as per Proverbs 3:9 & 2 Corinthians 8:9), and that this motivation is the true foundation for cheerful giving (as per 2 Corinthians 9:7). Finally, I believe that the principle of blessing according to the amount of percentage giving with a cheerful heart still holds for the New Testament believer (as per 2 Corinthians 9:6, 8-11) (which would seem to imply that the principle of cursing for not giving at all in honor unto the Lord would also still hold true). So then, with what percentage should a New Testament believer begin? According to 2 Corinthians 9:7 the New Testament instruction seems to be -- "according as he purposeth in his heart." However, throughout the whole of Scripture (including Abraham before the Law, and the instructions of the Law) the tithe out of the first fruits of our increase seems to be a base percentage for giving in honor unto the Lord our God.

    Greetings

    I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and have been a Baptist all my life. I have wide interests and follow many topics. I will not simply accept what is currently popular until I have researched it for myself and I make my own decisions. I am always reading two or more books at a time. I do not believe in the division of clergy and laity. If a person is a Christian, to me, then they are clergy as every Christian has the responsibility to 'go into the world' taking Christ with them in both deed and word. I put deed first as I believe deeds show what we believe and either backup or refute what we say we believe. Bare with me if I ask questions. I have always been an asker of questions and was often told when I was a kid, "You ask too many questions." I have always been a seeker of knowledge in many areas. I suppose this is what led me to become an information retrieval specialist. The company I worked for played important parts in the development of the Internet through packet switching communications and in the development of GPS. I probably was born out of my time as I am a specialist only in information retrieval. I am a generalists in the subjects I had to find information about and in the areas of my interest. I have little patience with narrow people or people who will not explore both sides of an issue. Please forgive me if that offends anyone now or in my postings. And...blessings to all.
