  1. I have no problem with pastors touching on politics from the pulpit as long as it doesn't become a bully pulpit or outright campaigning for someone. I see nothing wrong with preaching about modern social and political issues in the light of scripture.

  2. Not writing about Mr. Locke, but I thought that the statement you made about what preachers need to focus on needed a response. My response is that this is not what preachers need to focus on; their focus needs to be on feeding their flock, that is their marching orders. John 21:15-17 (KJV) So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. This does not preclude preachers from winning souls for Christ, it is just not to be their main focus.

  3. Yes Jeff, justified means to be saved. Justified means: "declared or made righteous in the sight of God." "a person or persons believed to be worthy, redeemed, or absolved: Good works are logically and morally necessary, for they are nothing more or less than the evidence that one is indeed among the justified."

  4. I believe i is an exegesis of Ephesians 6...yes. I haven't had a chance to read much of it yet, but, I should be able to take more time this next few days. This is a newer "revision" of the copies of old. I've read them before, but that was long ago.

  6. There was a couple that was married 60 years sitting on a bench in the park. The man feeding birds with popcorn, His wife tells him, I admire you, he kept feeding the birds. Then she tapped him on the shoulder and says louder, I admire you, he then looks at her and said, and I am tired of you too. ? Now you know the rest of the story…
