  1. Well, here is a little bit of good news. Taliban fighters are feeling angry and betrayed Wednesday after discovering that Afghan National Army helicopters abandoned at Kabul’s airport have been rendered inoperable by departing U.S. troops, according to a report. An Al Jazeera reporter who toured a hangar on the military side of the airport said in a video that the terrorist group "expected the Americans to leave helicopters like this in one piece for their use." "When I said to them, ‘why do you think that the Americans would have left everything operational for you’? They said because we believe it is a national asset and we are the government now and this could have come to great use for us," she continued. https://www.yahoo.com/news/taliban-fighters-upset-feel-betrayed-144441957.html

  2. Well, the Bible talks about the 4 corners of the earth. There are no corners. Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses No. 3 and 5,…‘Light was created on the first day.’ Genesis, Ch., 1 Verses, 14 to 19… ‘The cause of light - stars and the sun, etc. was created on the fourth day’. How can the cause of light be created on the 4th day - later than the light which came into existence on the first day? King James talks about a unicorn. There has never been a unicorn. No, the Bible was never intended to science book.

Yes as Markle said. I was just worried, that perhaps because you have a more scholastic view of literature that you may wish to tie analogies and things from outside the scripture to the scripture. I apologize for confusion! I meant to say the method of study is easy.

  4. Brother Totoosart, What Brother Hugh said is not precisely accurate. The apostle Peter under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit stated the following in 2 Peter 3:15-16 -- "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." Some things in God's Holy Word are easier for understanding, but other things are harder for understanding. Furthermore, Proverbs 1:7 states -- "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Even so, those who walk in the fear of the Lord have the foundation upon which to grow in their understanding of God's wisdom from God's Holy Word. However, those who will not choose the fear of the Lord (as per Proverbs 1:29-30) will not be able to grasp God's wisdom from God's Holy Word. Indeed, being wise in their own conceits, they will remain fools and will ever grow deeper in the darkness and blindness of their foolishness. Finally, in John 8:31-32 we read, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Growth in the truth and wisdom of God's Holy Word comes only to those who continue in the Word with diligent study, daily mediation, AND dedicated obedience. Without faithful obedience there will not be spiritual growth of maturity or understanding. Consider the following passages: James 1:21-25 - "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." Hebrews 5:12-14 - "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." In Proverbs 8:32-36 the personified Wisdom of God's Word states - "Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death."

Thanks, mate, You need to add to that the fact that i am Persian born which adds to my sufferings, Praise the Lord, it's fine, i am learning more and more because of all my restrictions. One has to be patient and the Lord has a plan for everyone, i wish i knew what is His kind plan for me so that i could get there faster. In any case, as i have just mentioned above, i am trying to spread the Word in every way possible, through my We Chat app as well as during my classes. My pupils all know i am a Christian and that Jesus Christ is more than important to me. Sometimes some conversation sparks up and i take the opportunity to say as much as i can and as well as i can. Bless your heart, thanks again, Totoo Thank you, friend, Bless your heart, it is very kind of you to spend your precious time reading all and replying too. Well, God is kind, i'm just trying to do what i can as much as i can, it's nothing special, still, unable to fulfil. There is a good reason for everything. Bless your heart, Totoo Life is full of challenges, Everyone has their own, Mine is to be lonely and lonesome, Praise the Lord, Bless your hearts, Totoo

Welcome, I believe you are willing to give 10 percent, this is very kind of you. But I believe you are a new born again Christian, and have not yet been baptized. The 10 percent of giving is not important at this time. Also you are in need, later you can start giving if you are able. God know our hearts and when we are ready to give. Giving will not save anyone and God does not want to test your faithfulness if your not ready.

Many times it is difficult to understand another persons situation when you don't know all the facts. Therefore it is hard to make a valid suggestion about the situation. In this case I know where totoosart lives. He lives in a country where Christianity is not only banned, but the authorities actually seek out Christians and try to detect where and when they may be meeting. If the authorities find them or their meeting place there, can be life threatening consequences, in other words they could be arrested and even put to death. So this situation can have dire consequences for him if he is not extremely careful. Just owning a Bible or trying to give out Bibles can be dangerous.

  9. “I have also come to learn that reading the Good Book is not as easy as one might think.“ May I point out something? The book is actually very simple to read once you incorporate the proper way to study. Scripture to scripture, literal at face value.

    Satan does not exist!

Accepting our error is never easy, yet, especially as a new believer, it is very important that we at least consider the possibility we MAY be in error at times. I have been born again since 1972, and a pastor for 19 years, but I still know I am human and subject to error. Glad to see you have learned that truth-it helps keep us honest and humble, but also should make us eager to always be in the word, to seek better understanding and greater wisdom in Christ. Welcome back.

@Totoosart I agree, it's great to hear from you again. I'm sorry to hear about the situation you're in where you live. Keep your head up and in the Word. As far as church goes, you may want to pray about starting a Bible study in your home and see where the Lord leads.
