    Making America Great Again

Brethren, Donald Trump made a great economic speech at the, "Detroit Economic Club," in Detroit, MI I rarely watch full speeches by any politician, and, personally did not care to hear Trump in a full speech, but, after hearing what he had to say initially, I decided to watch the full speech. I thought it was a great spreech that is worthy of our attention. Here is the link: I would suggest to watch the full speech. It starts out with an introduction by Pence (which by the way would make a great vice-president), and then Trump presents his economic policies. Quite frankly, it was almost like hearing the financial and regulatory polices of President Ronald Reagan. I think the economic policies of a Donald Trump administration would help the financial health of America. Donald Trump, among other policies; would overturn Obamacare, stop any new regulatory policies, overturn many of the destructive regulatory policies of Bill Clinton and Obama, re-negotiate the NAFTA agreement, decrease taxes for businesses, and incorporate economic policies that are helpful to America. There are other good policies that he mentioned that I would suggest you to listen by yourself and make your own judgments. Trump, in my estimation, is a conservative. He is not the best conservative, but, he is a conservative. Trump plainly stated that he is against the Globalist policies of Obama, and the potential destructive Globalist policies of Hillary. Trump plainly stated that he will only institute economic policies that are beneficial to America. In my estimation, Donald Trump would make a great President and be helpful to our country. It was also good to hear Trump sounding like a flag waving, America loving, conservative, down-to-the-earth, patriotic American. The speech did remind me of President Reagan and his love for America. I came away from hearing the speech and felt that Trump was sincere in speech, loved America, and has the business sense to succeed in his endeavor to help our country. Alan

    The Gap theory GARBAGE

Another pure fantasy with no basis in fact.

Like Obama, I will constantly pray for his salvation, support him when he honors God and oppose him when he does not. President Obama and Secretary Clinton share the same ideology. Indeed, they shared nearly the same path of radicalization, Obama passing through the same doors as Hillary just a few years later. They are box Marxist-Leninists whose god is their belly and hate America and her founding documents and her founding fathers.

    Presenting The Gospel

Define "Gospel". A clear presentation of the Gospel is important, it ought to contain several important facts; 1. The subject should know that “all people are lost” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23) This puts them into a group, and does not single them out accusingly. They must realize their need for salvation before they will be saved. 2. All people need to be saved. (Rom. 6:23a and 5:12)) I always have them agree that “no one is perfect”. I have never had anyone disagree since I used that approach. They have been offended, however, that I insinuated that they were sinners; generally, people do not think themselves to be too bad. Just as wages are paid for a days work, sin has earned a wage--death. (spiritual as well as physical) Explain it to them. 3 All people are saved the same way. (Rom. 6:23b) (Rom 5;12 could be used here too, you decide.) Only Jesus can forgive their sin. (Explain how He died for them, and took their punishment upon Himself. Then rose again the third day…etc.) Interject Rom 5:8 in there showing them that Christ died specifically for mankind. 4. YOU can be saved today. (Rom. 10:9,10) “Whosoever” includes everyone. Won’t you call upon Jesus to save you today? There are various salvation plans that are effective. The main thing is telling them the Gospel. Some people like to use John 3:16, and other verses, but the result is hopefully salvation. A word about repentance: it has been long disputed, (and will no doubt continue to be), whether we should encourage them to repent of their sin before they call upon the Lord for salvation, but at the time they decide to trust Christ as their Savior, they have a change of heart, and that is repentance. The Gospel is what saves men, and repentance may not be considered the Gospel per se.

I'm not sure I'm following you. At first, you were using Habakkuk 3:11-13 to show that the armies of the Antichrist will be beheaded. Then you seemed to agree that the "head" is actually indicative of a leader rather than a person's actual head. Have you read the next verse of Habakkuk 3...verse 14? I believe it gives an even clearer meaning as to the word "head" in these verses. They are talking about a leader, not a person's head. It's still common terminology today. Such as, "The best way to stop your enemy is to cut off its head." Which means to stop, capture, imobilize, or kill their leader. Still, I agree with MountainChristian...Habakkuk was talking about the Babylonians of history...not the Battle of Armageddon nor the likening of the Babylon of Revelation.

    The Global Flood

“And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” (Genesis 6:13) Among those who insist that the Flood described in Genesis cannot be actual history, two reasons stand out more than all others. First, naturalism demands a gradual development of ev... More... View the full article

I do believe that "head" (in that verse) is referring to their leader...not the literal head of a body.

    Revelation Bible Study.

Brethren, I thought a song about the grace of God through the Lord Jesus would be appropriate to accompany this lesson. "Grace Greater Than All Our Sin." written by Julia H. Johnston, 1850-1911 The song is sung at the Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN. During the song, as they pan the audience, you will notice that they have a sizable ministry to the deaf. Excellent testimony and work. God Bless! Alan

    Saints to Armageddon

Was the command in Psalm 149 to kill the heathen? 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD. The judgment was to bind them with chains and fetters of iron. Where does it say vengeance = death? Where does it say punishments = death? Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Jesus in perfectly capable of wielding the sword himself. He will speak and it will be done. We are not commanded to bring vengeance on others, our mission is something quite at odds with vengeance. Rom. 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

    The Gap theory GARBAGE

I was just doing a bit of searching today and found this article by Henry Morris. It's a really good summary as to why the gap theory (or whatever name its proponents want to call it) is false. And how it actually undermines the gospel. He makes some points that are good to be aware of, from a born again scientist's viewpoint, when discussing it with someone who believes in it. http://www.icr.org/article/why-gap-theory-wont-work/

    Saved for about a year

Well, I was having a terrible episode of demonic possession after a night of drinking and drugs. I was also listening to wicked satanic music at the time. I felt myself fighting with a devil within me. After what felt like hours of convulsing and crying, "NO!" I had a moment of clarity. I got on the floor and told Jesus that I no longer wanted to live the life that I was living and that I wanted Him to be in control of my life. I wanted to live for Him. Now I wasn't yet completely informed on the saved by grace alone idea, but I did realize at that moment that only Jesus could save me and that I could do nothing to save myself, so that might have been it. I know it sounds a little charismatic like lol, but this really happened. I have stopped all drugs, alcohol,(they repel me now), adultery, pornography. I was an abusive man in the past, but the Lord has turned me into a gentle lamb. I am so glad that I left that life that I have gone completely to the other extreme, not that that's gonna save me as salvation is through belief on Jesus and His Grace only. I no longer watch TV at all, don't watch hollywood movies, and don't listen to popular music. I have become waaaaaaaaaay old school Independent Fundamentalist Baptist, Praise God. I couldn't imagine a better life. I don't think that my wife is saved. I've gone over the plan of salvation with her, and she has attested to believe it, but I just don't think that she really understood it. I've asked her since if she were to die today, if she knew where she was going, and she said no. It's hard for me to believe that she is saved. Help!
