    Goodbye

I can empathize with your inner struggle, Brother, because after some irritating "confrontations" online (not here) I've realized that the internet in general has more often rOBbed me of my peace, joy, and time than it has edified me and strengthened my faith and knowledge of the Scriptures. Hold fast to the Lord and if I don't see you back here on OB, we shall meet again in Glory. God bless, Swath.

It can be either: we are NOT to provoke our children to wrath (Eph 6:4), yet we ARE to provoke unto good works (Heb 10:24).

    Goodbye

"let's get over it and move on???" Really? No, I cannot "get over" people who persistently promote false doctrine, especially in light of those who consistently demonstrate that they are ignoring, twisting, and wresting the Scriptures to their own destruction. All they are doing is creating confusion in the hearts and minds of believers.

Oh this is easy...... Dan 9 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. See there at the start? It says "After threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself......" That is the death of Christ on the cross. After 69 weeks that is what happens. Pretty simple if you read what is written... Not after 69 weeks Messiah appears on the scene......

I get the point you are trying to make Dave, but anecdotal evidence is circumstantial at best, not proof.

There is no way to broad brush how many Jews do or don't remember their heritage. During the Third Reich many Jews knew they were Jews yet there were also a number of "Germans" who were surprised to find out they were actually Jewish. This wasn't/isn't unique, as the same is true in many other countries. One of the things many find interesting about checking into their ancestry is finding out their heritage. It's fairly common to hear folks talk about how they didn't know they were Jewish, Germanic, Indian or whatever. Yes, some non-religious Jews still identify themselves as Jews. Others know they have Jewish ancestry but don't consider themselves to be Jews, and still others no longer even know of their Jewish ancestry.

    Question: Drunkeness And Medication

When it comes to pain that's a very variable matter. My pain tolerance is great compared to some, but compared to my Dad, my pain tolerance is much less since he has a very high tolerance for pain. How much and what kind of pain medication is or isn't needed varies greatly between individuals.

One of the prOBlems in this area is there are some things that are clearly false, but then there are areas without 100% clarity and there may be differing views in those areas. Do we call differing views false teaching or do we reserve the category of false teaching only for those matters which are 100% clear?

I had to fight hard with my school because my "required course" for a transfer degree included "Health and Fitness" course. One week of that course was devoted to Yoga, and I refused to be any part of it or do any of the homework or quizzes on the abomination, and I fought to not lose a letter grade for my non-participation. By the way...the instructor has purple beaded hair, wears a crystal pouch always that appears to have not been washed in this century, has tattoos and piercings everywhere, and is named Breeze...(I'm betting she has a "Coexist" bumper sticker as well). I'm guessing that it would not have been generic non-religious as my school admin tried to say.

    Whats for Supper...

Wild Turkey harvested just this week during the spring turkey season, and wild onions, with lambs quarters (kind of a wild spinach). By the way, wild turkey doesn't taste anything like the butterball you get from the store. A small trivia note about wild turkey's. Did you know that Benjamin Franklin campaigned hard for the wild turkey to be the official U.S. Bird instead of the Bald Eagle? He was defeated by only 3 votes!

For the first time it seems more Americans now support homosexual "marriage" than oppose it. With so many states making such legal and an ever growing percentage of the population supporting this, it won't be long before the Federal government (through the courts or legislation) will make homosexual "marriage" the law of the land. This will quickly override the few remaining states which haven't passed such laws and make it easier to silence those against such.

did you mean they will change "New Testament to New Covenant" to make the church Israel? paul quoted Christ telling him "New Testament" and The Author of Hebrews writes "New Testament" yet they change both of these inthe newer versions and in Replacement theology to "New Covenant". And Like Steve Said the leading OP scriptures will take place in the future not now or did it take place anytime in the past.

    Members Come And Members Go....

Ezekiel 34:17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. 18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. 20 Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle. 21 Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad; When I feed my sheep at the trough, some of them will climb up in the trough with dirty feet and manure and filth from the pasture which gets jammed between their cloven hooves which will fall off in the trough. When this happens, healthy, well fed sheep will leave some of the feed behind. But sheep which are hungrier will eat some of it. This material is usually laced with the eggs oif parasites which become ingested by the sheep and cause them to lose weight, become sick and some, like the common barberpole worm can overcome a sheep's digestive tract and can even kill it fairly quickly. How many times do we, walk through this filthy world, contaminate our feet, fail to "wash" each other's "feet" and by all of that contaminate the testimony of the Word for other sheep? And how many times do we carelessly push other sheep away from the "Trough" because we are too preoccupied with being fed ourselves? Some of the ones, many of the ones who stray and leave for parts unknown, are really sick, hungry, weaker sheep.

Ezekiel 34: 3Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. 4The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. 5And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. 6My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them. Feed them, take up time with them, and sheep will become your "buddy". All they want is food toi begin with, after that comes trust, implicit trust. What an awesome thing. What a privilege. What a grave responsibility. But notice something in the background of this video. The sheep in the background are like the some of the back pew sitters. They are just as hungry as the ones at my feet, but they're very skittish and don't trust me. If I had the time to spend with them, many more of them, prOBably all, would be right there trying to get me to hand feed them because the one seen here climbing up my chest was once just as wild as they are. Thank God that He isn't selfish and isn't constrained by time and other interests.

Yes, but we should always look at who is leaving and why (whether here, our church, elsewhere). Are we losing good folks for preventable reasons? Is it only the hyper-sensitive leaving, or liberal or secular Christians? Are the reasons folks leave cause for concern? Who replaces those who leave? Solid Christians, secular Christians, cultists, pet peeve Christians? What are we doing right and what are we doing wrong? How can we keep the good members? How can we help or weed out the bad?

As long as she's serving Satan, she'll do everything in her power (conscious of it or not) to destroy your family, to knock it off its foundation in Christ. With someone like that you have to separate from them. When you do have contact, do not put up with their shenanigans. We have some relatives who behave similarly (don't all the lost?) and had to treat them that way until they slightly modified their behavior when we're around.
