  1. I have heard some that claim that Jesus had to finish up by suffering in hell, I disagree with that, simply because of what you stated, "It is finished." God has truly accept the sacrifice at that moment. So His trip below was not for suffering.

  2. I haven't given this topic a lot of thought, but I've followed more in the dichotomist tradition than the trichotomist. Man has two parts: material and immaterial. I don't know how anyone could argue with that, do you? Perhaps there are (for lack of a better word) "subdivisions" of each category, but I (at least for now) don't see how there could be three categories...Perhaps one or more of the terms body, soul, and spirit encompass each other. I don't like comparisons of man's nature with the Trinity...The Holy Spirit isn't "part" of God. He is wholly God, and God is wholly He. The Trinity

  3. Carl Lackey needs to reread Genesis 6. specifically verse 4. 4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. It says giants first and then say also after that mighty men. So those sons of God didn't bare giants when they married the daughters of men,but rather children, who became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. All of Genesis 6 is talking of the wickedness of man and man alone.

When Mary Magdelene first saw Christ in the garden he indicated that he had yet to ascend. In other words, if Paradise had indeed been up at that time, then Christ hadn’t been there yet. This would not concur with what he told the thief. John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Christ had testified to exactly where he would spend those three days and three nights. Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in t

    The Sacrifice of Praise

Yesterday as I was praying I was overwhelmed with just how awesome our God is and how good He is to us. That led to much time spent in praise and thanksgiving. What a blessed time and how close to the Lord I felt throughout.

    Jack Hyles

"Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The problems that arise with the hyles type approach is that it equals mental or verbal agreement with heart belief. While that can be the case, many times it is not. Some people believe in the same way the devils believe in James 2:19. They believe in their head, but their heart does not. Hyles type personal evangelism goes something roughly like this example: (Christian) Hi there, did you know Jesus Christ died for you and wants to save you from hell? (lost person)Ye
