Members Annie
The first question doesn't make any sense. She was a suitable or fitting help for Adam. Good way of putting it, Jerry. A woman is not "a help meet" or (even worse) "a help mate," but one who is, because of the way God designed her, a helper who is suited to a man's needs. Women don't have to "try" to be "good help meets." They are already "suitable helpers" just because of the way God designed them (biologically, emotionally, etc.) to mesh with men's needs. A human male's counterpart is...a human female, as opposed to a creature of another species. I do think, however, that women should keep in mind the reason they were created: to be man's helper. Recognizing God's purpose in designing her the way he did helps a woman to understand how best to glorify him.

What I am getting at is that "help meet" doesn't make any sense: it's not supposed to be a single term...."help" is a noun followed by an adjective"meet". But you hear this all the time...."help meet".
