Members AVDeaf
If the KJV is a faithful translation, preserved for us today, are modern versions also preserved for us today? If yes or no, please explain your reason why.
Members Pastorj
The answer is simply no. The explanation is a little lengthy, but I will try to keep it short. The doctrine of preservation is simple: God promised to preserve His Word for every generation. In English, only the KJV can be traced back generation to generation. All other modern translations come from a greek manuscript that was not available for 1700 years. Hence it does not meet the doctrine of preservation. If a group of Godly men were to translate the TR into a modern version, it could be considered preserved as it would meet the qualifications of Scripture. I do not believe this is going to happen as those who are qualified to do it, are either Wescott Hort people or they are not interested in a modern translation. Members JerryNumbers
Things That Are Different Are Not The Same, so the MV's cannot be a faithful translation. Their purpose is to support the beliefs of those who wrote them, not to support the true Words of God.
