Good singing and preaching tonight. After the hymns a woman sung how great thou art. Preaching was on fellowship. I'm thankful for a good church to attend.

I heard the first are actually going to be last so does that mean the one who started this thread is the real winner? lol

Well, I got this here thing inside me.  One doc calls it a node, one doc calls it a mass, so I don't know what to call it.  So anyways; I got this thing and they did a biopsy yesterday and they won't

Here is my ALL TIME FAVORITE way of eating a garden fresh mater...

Bright and early as soon as it is light enough to see go down to the garden and pick the largest juiciest beef steak maters at their peak of ripeness, still wet with the morning dew.

Stop off at the hen house and gather some eggs up after you scatter some chicken feed in the yard.

Now bring the maters back to the house, wash one off, and dice it into small cubes. Now finish making breakfast - fry up a skillet of bacon, use the bacon grease to make a pan of hot "scratch" country biscuits, reserve about a tablespoon of grease to flavor the tomatoes with. While the biscuits are baking fry up some of those freshly gathered farm eggs. Serve up the eggs and biscuits with a skillet of gravy and side orders of bacon cooked to crispy perfection, and bowls of diced tomatoes, and a pot of steaming hot coffee! YUMMY!

Y'all, I have tried to make that self same breakfast here in the city, but it just ain't the same! You can't buy maters in the store - those store bought maters don't have any flavor in them! The eggs produced on those chicken ranches do not have the same taste as the eggs I used to gather from farm-fed chickens who got out and scratched dirt and ate beetles. And a canned biscuit ain't fit to eat no matter who you are!

Yes siree - give me a garden fresh mater any day of the week and twice on Sunday, but forget about the store bought stuff! BLECH!

I live in town, because I can't afford to live anywhere else, but if I ever strike it rich the first thing I will do is buy me a 50 acre farm in Kentucky.

mortisham I have had that happen here too. It takes a while to learn the bottons. Cheer up though, you are in good company!

I have a love/hate relationship with Wal Mart. They drive out the little Mom and Pop stores, then raise their prices to even higher than they were supposed to be! They treat their employees like dirt too.

No sorry I didn't learn how to get rid of ants sorry.
But I did learn alot on happiness, I am still working on applying it. BroCarr showed me alot of things that I had never thought about, like even though Grandpa will not be here to do things in the future with me, and walk me down the isle, and meet my family he will still be there so to speak, that he willbe able to see me. And that even though I never got to say goodbye I will get to see him again. That is the hardest one because yes I know I'll see him again, but who knows how long that could be??
Ok anyway I learned alot of other things to but this post is long enough so I will tell later

It may seem a long time for us still here before we see our loved ones again but when we consider we have ETERNITY waiting for us, this is just but a micro-second in time.

I'm glad the camp was good for you; even if they didn't teach you about how to get rid of ants! :frog
