Members bekamorgan19
No, not at all. You were fine. I'm just in the middle of a long post elsewhere, so I was getting confused as to where I was up to.

Members bekamorgan19
Sorry, I'm rambling again. I'm trying to convince these people that you can't lose your salvation.
Members nodnarb
How about the verse that says no man can pluck them out of my hands. Something like that anyway.
Members bekamorgan19
Yeah, I used that one, and a couple of others. I'm enjoying it so far anyway, and there's a few people who believe the same as me there. It's at http://www.ericandleslie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6119 if you're interested in reading it. Members hermanj
Interesting....This topic came up during our counsel time tonight at my church's addictions program. John 10:28-29 (no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand), is often refuted by pointing to verse 27 ("My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:") People point to this verse and say we only have eternal life as long as we follow Jesus. I like to use Romans 10:13. It doesn't say For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord might be saved. It says shall be saved. God chose one of the strongest verbs in the English language for that verse. Also, Eph. 2:8-9 is another verse I've used. Salvation is through faith alone, not of works. I'll read the thread later if I have time (I'm working on my sermon again, but thought I'd throw my input in here.)
