Members bekamorgan19
:D Yep! Only with me it's keeping up with Americans... I find it cool how I can get along better with people I've never met face to face than people I've known half my life (or longer)...very strange. Members John81
I know what you mean! Aren't internet friends so much easier to get along with then so many people we deal with in person?
Members bekamorgan19
Absolutely! Only some of them I wish were a little closer so we could decide once and for all if a computer screen needs to be between us to actually get along. Members John81
Yeah, but then it might spoil things. Still, I know what you mean, it would be so cool to actually meet some in person.
Members bekamorgan19
There's some I think where it'd spoil the friendship, but others I think we'd get along even better in person. Considering how quiet I am in "real life", it's kinda easier doing the socialising thing online or via email/letters anyway.
Members John81
Yeah, I'm more quickly outgoing over the internet but in person I'm slower to really open up and be myself until I get to know someone better.
Members bekamorgan19
Yep, sounds about like me. It's weird, this weekend I was "observing" myself talking to one of my sisters, and I was WAY different with her than I am with friends. It's strange the way you can be so at home with siblings, yet other people you kinda guard yourself against naturally.

Members bekamorgan19
Don't you wish there was a switch where you could turn it on and off at will? It would be so nice to be able to open up to some people, and stay away from others completely. I'm still trying to learn how to really talk to people who aren't my family! I've been going soulwinning with our church's soulwinning director, but everytime he has me do the talking, I always end up completely tongue-tied and  .....yet I've witnessed to friends and coworkers without a problem! Members bekamorgan19
Yep, I've been there too. I've found it's the times where I'm talking to people about the Lord one on one I'm perfectly fine, but the minute my dad or someone else is there, I get embarrassed and quiet, and don't know quite what else to say. I don't do that well in groups of two or more...just one on one suits me fine.

I'm exactly the same way....One on one I can be very conversational, but have another person walk up, and I'll just get extremely quiet. Members bekamorgan19
Don't you find it weird how it can be so different talking online? Like I have friends and we write really long letters, yet as soon as we get together (which is only like 1-2 times a year), we're like "Um, yeah, so..." I find it weird that I get along better with some Americans than Aussies too.
Members hermanj
It is strange, and I can't figure out why. :?
Members bekamorgan19
Me neither. Guess it'll remain one of those unsolved mysteries.
